Located right above Wyrd Meadery, they serve some of the same mead-inspired cocktails upstairs, so even if the meadery is closed, you can still enjoy a great mead drink here! If you're feeling adventurous, try the drink that combines sake, mead, and wine. It's definitely a one and done kind of cocktail, but it makes for a fun nightcap! The atmosphere here is so fun! They have a giant cozy fireplace, occasional live music and the community always shows up - even during a snowstorm. We came in on a snowy night and the place was still buzzing and open! Another bonus is that you can grab tacos from Loly, the yellow Mexican food cart right outside, and bring them inside to enjoy with your drinks! The 13th Moon Gravity Well was such an amazing stop! It was just so, so good all the way around! I probably drank too much but the beverages that are available here are immediately intriguing and infectious. The atmosphere is great too. Very moody and nicely lit and the service was great and super friendly! Steve and I started with a flight of mead that was just so amazing! Steve and I had the Lemon Ginger, Elderberry, Tej ( an Ethiopian mead!), Uprooted (Oak barrel aged), Cranberry Peach and Vikings Blød. Most of the meads are local and were made in either Portland or Carson, Washington but the Viking one which came from Denmark. They also serve sake, wine and beer! I had to get the Nettle Ale which was made by 13th Moon themselves. Yes, it was wonderful also! I have had nettle ale before but not often so it was great to have it again! They have food here but more snacks stuff. We got cheese and crackers which was a nice thing to have in addition to all of our drinking! To wrap it all up Steve got some swag. A very impressive looking hoodie with a great logo of a reptilian type creature in clothes and on two feet. It was very cool! Well by the tune we finished here we spent a fair amount of money here but it was worth every cent! I highly, highly recommend this place for a very unique drinking experience! read more

Mead isn't exactly my thing but the brew master was very nice about letting me try some meads and the decor is definitely fun!

This is such a cozy spot! I've wanted to check out this place for years and was glad to finally do so. Hadara, our bartender, was super friendly and knowledgeable. The tap and bottle lists were quite extensive with a nice mix of something for everyone. Look forward to coming back sometime to check out their live music nights! read more

Cozy neighborhood bar. With a fireplace on & AC, best of both worlds. They specialize in Mead. There were two drunk "regulars" drinking on Saturday 5/24/25. One of the guys left got in his car as he was driving out hit a parked white (jeep like car) and drove off. It happened so fast I wasn't able to get my phone out and get the information. Of course attracted by the name, drive by it often enough, and finally went. Small room but packed with ambiance--nordic, hewn wood. Had a stout that the owner Ari had made, excellent (and I'm more of an IPA guy). Chatted a bit with Ari, an energetic and generous publican. Go. A trip to Portland to visit my family led me to 13th Moon. In a phrase, so worth the visit. The creativity, craft, and capability of these brewers is so great. One beer on the menu, War on the Moon, tasted unlike anything I've ever had. With hints of honey and rye barrel, this was an unbelievably special pour. Norms 9 Pin was another unique pint-- an amber meets an alt bier and does some cool stuff -- check that out too if War on the Moon isn't available. Beyond that, a fireplace, relaxed vibe, and real personality of the beer, space, and Ari, the brewmaster behind this beauty, made this a worthwhile visit. read more

The epitome of a neighborhood bar with in an intimate space, filled with regulars, and the bartender and owner wants to know your name, this bar was a wonderful recommendation from a friend. I thought that the interior was interesting but the beer list just is not my cup of tea or should I say mug of beer. I did have a nice pilsner though. I live in the neighboorhood and i really want to like this place! I've been here several times despite the very quiet/weird atmosphere. Went in last night but there was NO ONE to help me. Waited and waited and waited while listening to the owner talk about "living in NYC and listening to Wu Tang Clan". Guess I'm an impatient A**Hole but in such a small space there should be at least 1 person on hand for customers. VERY small beer selection. read more
