It issn't normally open to the general public (hence the reason I was not aware of it!). However, it can be rented out for events or weddings. The exclusivity of this location means it doesn't have clear signage and access is usually gated to be only allow invited guests onto the property. We went for an event planner reception...and were surprised to hear even our organizers have never had access to this venue before and were excited to be there. Many celebrities will reserve this property due to it's strict accessibility. So if you ever get a chance to check it out, do not hesitate!

The gardens are absolutely beautiful with lush greenery, fountains, and charming little spots that feel like a peaceful retreat. You drive up a long, tree-lined path that sets a relaxing vibe right from the start. The big oak tree on the "Forbidden Lawn" makes for a stunning backdrop for photos. The place feels upscale but still warm and inviting. There's a nice mix of formal gardens and natural areas, so there's always something pretty to look at. Paula LeDuc catering runs the food, and they're top-notch, which is a bonus. Just a heads up, the venue has a lot of rules, like quiet music and an early curfew, so it's not your wild party spot. It's perfect if you want a classy, peaceful venue with gorgeous scenery. Definitely worth checking out if you're in Napa and love beautiful gardens. tasting room is this beautiful venue space.

For starters let me begin with saying the variety and versatility of this venue is amazing and very convenient. For those couples planning a wedding here, the vineyard setting is something out of a movie. Nestled in the surrounding nearby vineyards of Napa Valley is where this venue hosts it wedding ceremonies. With the sun setting over the Napa Valley mountains to the west and the walkway to this are lined with perfectly manicured cypress trees, one has to ask themselves if it really gets much better? Continuing on with this venues variety, there are many options couples have when planning their cocktail and dinner hour. For cocktail hour there is a rather charming garden area with fountains and home grown herbs and flower beds. This area is idea for bartender setups and close enough to the kitchen so that the very professional and accommodating catering staff can provide passed Hors d'oeuvre. Speaking of which, the food at this venue is otherworldly and I cannot recommend it enough. Dinner hour location options are plentiful! If you are in the mood for an outdoor dinner setting in the garden, that is easily accomplished! Other options for the dinner hour are the courtyard near the tasting room or dinner hour in the actual tasting room which both provide an intimate setting for guests and can be rather handy should inclement weather conditions be present the day of your event! Lastly, if you are planning a dance party/reception, I can't recommend the tasting room enough as the best location at this venue. With a beautiful dance floor and amazing full bar, this area truly has all the ingredients to make for an outstanding dance party enviornment! If you are in the market and looking for a place to host your next wedding, corporate event or private get together, you would be well served to consider this venue as very serious option! I should also mention that the convenienence of this venues location can't be beat. Situated along Highway 29 in Saint Helena makes access to this venue a very practical option for you and your guests! Salute!

Absolutely not to be missed when you're in the area. Plan at least 2-3 hours to enjoy the art rain or shine (as a matter of fact some installations come alive with color when raining). I came across the Legacy Cave Tour, which is adults-only and offers a lower fee for non-drinkers, which I thought was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the online booking didn't work for me, so I had to call to make the reservation. When we checked in, the woman at the front desk gave me a bit of a weird vibe. After looking up our reservation, she said, "Oh, indeed you do have a reservation." It just felt like an odd response, like... why wouldn't we? is it because we're brown? We arrived a little early, so we spent some time browsing the gift shop upstairs. That's where we met our guide, Will, who was lovely, friendly, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday, and he asked if we'd been given a birthday sticker. Apparently they offer special occasion stickers at the front, which the check-in woman never mentioned, but Will made sure we got one, which was a nice touch. The tour itself was a small group, which I really liked. We went into the cave, and for those drinking, the tour included 3 wines. It was interesting learning about the history of Beringer Vineyards, and again, Will did a great job explaining everything. One thing I do wish they offered: for non-drinkers, it would be nice to have something like grape juice or a non-alcoholic option during the tour. There were a few of us in that situation, and it felt a little odd not having anything to sip on. After the tour, we walked the grounds, which was really nice. It's free to explore the property and browse the gift shop, which makes it a pleasant stop even beyond the tour itself. We ended up buying a couple bottles to take home, along with a wine barrel mug that my husband liked.

First of all, Tom and Desiree are two of the nicest people you will ever meet in the wine country. They invite you into their home, share food and wine and tell wonderful stories. We plan for 90 minutes and always end up staying longer - sorry Tom and Desiree but time goes by quick when you are enjoying yourselves. The winery makes a Howell Mt Cab and a Rutherford Sauvignon Blanc. The Cab is huge and you can taste Howell Mt in every sip. The Sauvignon Blanc has all the qualities of a superior white but at an affordable price point. Truth be known, both wines are priced less than their peers. Tom states he charges less because he wants to treat people like he would want to be treated. Red Cap Vineyards is by far one of the best finds in all of Napa. We have visited most of the wineries in Napa and this one is hard to top. When it comes down to it, it is the people behind the wine that makes the visit special. These two have vested their lives into Red Cap Vineyards. Your visit will be special and you will walk away feeling like you are part of the Red Cap family.
