Their Frozen Baked Apple Marg has a great apple aftertaste (beware though, this thing was strong!). The crispy rice with spicy tuna was easily the favorite item on the menu. The sweet and sour chicken, and the meatball are also great appetizers options to split with a group. I got the shrimp and avocado salad which had a good portion of shrimp. It was light and refreshing to eat. The favorited dish of the night definitely had to be the short rib fried rice, everyone was picking on it at the table. At 11:45am it was busy, but not packed. The restaurant is very cute- fake plants hanging on the ceiling, with large mirrors decorating the walls. The staff was very kind and welcoming. I ordered the eggs Benedict that came with home fries or regular fries. It also came with a salad. I opted for the bacon. Everything was great- no complaints. The egg was perfectly runny, the hollandaise sauce flavorful and just right. I was very satisfied by the presentation and food quality. After doing a little research this place popped up on my radar and quickly sparked my interest with their menu offerings. Right upon entry, it did not disappoint. The ambience is warm, cozy and very earthy with tons of lush greenery. Modestly upscale for sure. I sat at the bar being alone, and was quickly greeted by the bartender. I went to Dear Maud for Sunday brunch! I had a 10:15 AM reservation and it was pretty empty inside which was nice and quiet. We were seated right away and the staff were very warm and sweet. I ordered Eggs Any Style with hash browns and sausage. I got my eggs over easy, and they definitely were well done, but it was still delicious so no complaints on my end. I also ordered a cappuccino, which was delicious. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. I've only ever been to Dear Maud one other time; it was a Friday night and I didn't end up staying because it was very crowded with no remaining seats. It's super popular, and I understand why! I had been to Dear Maud so many times over the last few years - for drinks, dinner, brunch...you name it. Over that time I had become attached to my favorite dishes (Greens and Grains bowl, Fried Chicken Bao Buns, etc.), which always managed to stay on their menu, despite any minor seasonal adjustments. However, I recently discovered that the restaurant had hired a new chef and that the menu had changed. I quickly went to the website to look for my mainstays, only to find that they had been removed. I was so bummed! I already had a dinner plans on the calendar for a date after the major shift, and I tried to be cautiously optimistic about the new program. I was meeting a friend, who was visiting from out of the area, so she was less downtrodden about the new menu than I was. Thankfully, the vibe, staff, and creative beverage menu were still the same. It happened to be a Tuesday evening, which meant that wine bottles were half-off. My companion suggested that we order the 2021 Monrosso Tuscan Red Blend, which was dry, but well-balanced and fruity. I really enjoyed it, and it was a change from the cocktails I typically opted for at Maud's. In terms of the food, we started by sharing the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna, one of their renowned dishes that had made the cut to remain on the menu. I had always wanted to try the hyped appetizer, but was sadly disappointed. The 4 rice patties were fine, but the tuna, while tasting mild, did not seem very fresh. When the fish should have been a bright pink, it was closer to gray in color. The spicy mayo also did not pack much of a kick. The toppings of pickled red onions and chives did provide some nuance, though. My friend enjoyed her Short Rib Fried Rice, while I opted for the Teriyaki Bowl. The generous portion included quinoa, 2 skewers of teriyaki chicken, mango pico de gallo, and sliced avocado. It was an odd blend of Asian and Mexican flavors, but it worked! Each of the skewers included 3 large chunks of tender, juicy white meat chicken that had been coated in a sticky, sweet marinade. I really enjoyed the dish, but found the teriyaki sauce very salty. Dear Maud will always hold a place in my heart, and I will continue to frequent the trendy spot, but I might need to find a new "go-to" dish. read more

They had 2 for 1 cocktails as well for selected cocktails on their menu. The server was friendly and the food came out quickly. The food was good however not amazing. I was a bit disappointed in my salad as it was just lettuce with dressing and some grilled chicken however there was also nothing wrong with it. My boyfriend felt the same way about his burrito. Day Drinking with Dad was our plan and we had 12 noon reservation. Sat promptly at a small table in the back. 2 for 1 drink specials sure helped with our plan lol. The Bloody Mary was flavorful, but could have used a little more heat! The Margarita Picante was interesting and tasted better than expected. We split the French Toast Sticks and had no idea it would be that large. Very flavorful and I'm a huge fan of using Brioche. Nice mixture of fruit, syrup and butter to go along with. The bar had maybe four couples sitting around it, including us. The bartender took our order and then simply disappeared. Meanwhile the bartenders walked around the bar once or twice without even looking up at customers. The flatbread had the texture of a cracker, I was hoping for something similar to a pizza crust or bread so that was not my favorite but it tasted okay. For entrees I tried the pecan apple salad with steak which was surprisingly good and I would definitely recommend and the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich was lacking in flavor overall and I didn't feel there was all that much chicken on it. The salad was much better than the sandwich. We left feeling full.
