This restaurant was open for lunch and I'm so happy someone recommended it. I just loved the soup, wontons,but Not they were pork Shumai, but favorite. This place was delicious and so reasonably priced. I thought High-end restaurant. Beautiful! My order was Shrimp California Rolls (8) pieces and they were delicious. My granddaughter ordered New England Shrimp tempura, avocado inside, spicy crab outside with sweet & spicy sauce and maybe panko sprinkled on top. I'M getting this the next time she gave my 2. The waiter was so impressive he ran almost the whole restaurant. I think the night shift was arriving just as we packed up. I'll definitely be back as soon as possible! I always loved going here for casual date nights for sushi pre pandemic! I honestly haven't been back since, and can't say why. I guess I don't go out/take out dinner much these days in my own town, but maybe I need to change this! I always found the servers to be wonderful as was the food and overall experience. we stopped in to try something new for dinner and it was just okay. the place is super cute and clean, i love the decor and ambiance. our waitress was pleasant as well. my husband started with the pork gyoza and said that it was decent and i started with a spicy crab roll, which i really enjoyed. now for the meals, they left a lot to be desired. i was excited when i saw the pictures of the fried rice online because it is hard to find around here and when it came it looked awesome but it was super bland. it looked better than it tasted and lacked much flavor aside from what the vegetables provided, i had to add salt and soy sauce and it was still bland. my husband thought the noodles were just okay. i would definitely come back for sushi, but not for food. overall, glad we tried it anyway! read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside seeing as it is located in a plaza in the middle of a package store and an adult store, but once inside, it's very clean and the sushi was really good!!! BYOB too which was perfect because we grabbed a bottle from the winery we had just visited!! The Crab Rangoons were absolutely delicious!! Their duck sauce was really good too and they kicked it up just a bit by adding a small amount of red crushed pepper flakes to it!!! Never had it that way before and wow was it good!! The three of us shared a House Roll, American Roll, and a New England Roll and a Shrimp Udon. My husband also had to try the Shrimp and Octopus Nigiri as well (I didn't taste them). We had just finished a great day of wine tasting and were in the mood for some sushi. We were recommended 168 at the winery, and told that they were also byob. So why not just pick up a bottle and head on over? The restaurant was very clean and the staff seemed friendly. They gave us glasses for our wine and took our order right away. First we enjoyed some crab Rangoon. I fell in love with their duck sauce that had just a little kick to it. Three of us split an American roll, House roll, and a New England roll. I also had some octopus and shrimp Nigiri. All rolls were done well, tasty, fresh, and flavorful. It was an evening of good wine, good food and good friends. We will definitely be back! read more

Finally I got to check out 168 sushi here in Fairhaven and boy do I recommend them highly!!! The sushi was so great, I got the Chorishi Fire Roll! 2 pc of Shrimp tempura but 8 pieces in total with a spicy salmon on top and a spicy (yet so flavorful) sauce. The tempura flakes were a great touch to add to this chefs special as well! On the side my friend and I shared a chicken fried rice which was very good as well! We ended with dessert which I found great because some places the portions don't let you leave any room left for it I feel like, but with 168 Sushi you get the right amount of food for that extra desire for dessert. So for dessert we both got fried cheesecake. What a nice big slice of cheesecake! Which was frozen in the middle but that is something to be expected when frying such a thing that you'd want to fry something frozen! As far as the service, it was pretty great ! My only thing is let us order how ever much we'd like! We felt just a tad bit rushed and when I wanted a fried cheesecake, she almost ran off before my friend could make an offer for some too! And there were fruit flies in our seating area so a minor annoyance when trying to eat. All of this ended up being 40 dollars (which my friend got some food as well) which was super cheap! I was expecting a bit more after dessert! Fantastic! Other than the minor rush in service and fruit flies which I can usually put aside, the place for me deserves 5 stars! Great job! read more

They are the worst. Despite not having an issue several times before, they refused entry to my certified, registered service dog. EDIT: The response from the owner states that there must have been a miscommunication, but the employee behind the counter was very clear in saying "No pets" despite us clearly stating that he is a registered service dog. We decided to try this out since it's the new sushi place. It was a tiny bit more expensive than a lot of the places around here (not crazy expensive though), but it was 100% worth it. A lot of people on here mentioned the lunch specials, but I went for dinner so perhaps that's even part of it. That said, it's worth the extra dollar a roll or so. This is without a doubt the best sushi I've eaten, around here or otherwise. The food was outstanding. My friends and I got several rolls and we loved all of them. Before 168 our venue for sushi was either Market Basket or other local sushi buffet place. For me sushi is the type of food that you pay more for less (since sushi is half art half food). I have to admit we almost went there twice but pulled a quick u-turn only to eat elsewhere. But finally a month after they open for business we decided to give it a shot....and we regret not doing so sooner because this place is pretty damn good....I can comfortably say this is the best local sushi place. So far we have been there twice, and every time after I ate there I want to go back again, this is a good sign. We tried various different sushi, tempura, noodle (soupy or stir fried), miso soup, sashimi, fried rice, chicken and beef teriyaki....and they are all good and I don't have a "not to order next time" list for this place. Couple notes: 1) The portion is very good. It's like Japanese food on a Chinese food portion. On our first trip we under estimated the portion and ended up with lots of extras to take home. 2) Order lunch special if you come during lunch time...very good value! 3) Sashimi is fresh and thick cut...this can be good or bad. I prefer 6 normal cuut pieces instead of 3 thick cut..So I tend to break them in half when I eat. That said continue with the value themed this is definitely good. We decided to try this new sushi place, located in the UPS / 99 plaza. We walked in at around 7:30pm with a large party of 9. They quickly rearranged the tables to seat us. They wait staff was very helpful, and even those the staff's first language isn't English they did a great job explaining things to us and our waitress was smiling and helpful. Most of use ordered sushi. I have the fried rice, without egg to make it vegan. To my surprise it had fresh veggies in it! My friends ordered sushi and were all very satisfied with their orders. One friend ordered Tempura and he said it wasn't good (another friend tried it and confirmed it wasn't very good). So I would avoid the tempura for sure. The consensus around the table however was "it's definitely better than Ming"!!! Take that for what it's worth. Took a star off there the tempura. (Also while there isn't any authentic sushi in the area, this isn't either, the staff is all Chinese not Japanese. Things like 'volcano rolls' aren't served in Japan. If you want authentic Ran Zen in Providence is the closest place.) read more

This is a Chinese restaurant that serves mediocre sushi. The place has no atmosphere and women with small children are serving the food. I ordered the the Cali roll. It has a sea weed salad on top which was good, but it also has small pieces of assorted cooked fish that were not good in my opinion. I also ordered Salmon sushi that's was good, but the white tuna sushi smelt fishy. I would not recommend this place if you are a true sushi connoisseur. read more
