Food and service is always good here. Our family does both take out and eat in. Restaurant is clean, staff is professional and food is good. Prices are very reasonable. Although, it is time to invest in new menus. The current ones are grungy and worn out. There are some words that are so worn out they can't be read. And as a side note for both professionalism and humor...please spell GARLIC correctly when printing up new menus. read more

First time customer. Ordered out. Can't comment on the ambiance, however the staff seemed nice. Was looking forward to making this our new Thai place. Unfortunately, we were sadly disappointed with the taste and quality of the food we ordered. Bottom line, compared to the other Thai place we usually order from, none of the food ingredients here tasted particularly fresh. The food tasted like it was pre-made and reheated. We ordered Basil Chicken and Garlic Chicken - the chicken for both dishes was tough, stringy and rubbery and the veggie ingredients were also previously made and reheated. The mushrooms used in my Garlic Chicken were definitely out of a can. read more

I'm updating my review of this restaurant because our last visit was disappointing. We came for dinner on a Friday night. They sat us in a booth with a seat that had a cloth napkin on top of it because it was ripped. After asking to be moved, they forgot about us. The waiter came to serve other tables in that room and didn't bother giving us a drink menu. We waited and waited for him but he never came to our table. I guess they didn't have the staff to take care of everyone but they should've expected it on a Friday night and at least some degree of acknowledgment would have been nice. We used to love coming here but will have to find a new place. Too bad they became complacent. read more

This place is out of the way for us, but since we had some time last night wife and I decided to take a drive and give them another try. The reason it's "another" is because we had previously been, but family found their food to be too spicy. Personally I liked the kick. Last night was Friday and the place was busy. Between the half of the dining area they opened for sit in and the take outs, I can see the boss with two ladies running around none stop. Our order was taken late. Our drinks weren't filled prompt...Everything dragged out abit long but our server was pleasant and she was showing solid efforts keeping all tables afloat. Since we were just out to kill time I am in super chill mode. Given that the wait was long, when our appetizer came finally our server also brought us an order of spring rolls. She said it's free and sounded like a messed up order she didn't want it to go waste. While we didn't need it I figured she probably felt bad for the wait, we will just bag it if we don't finish. Felt like a good gesture from the restaurant. The food has its up and downs. Really liked the beef dish but the chicken with hot basil was a mess. The sauce is confusing and honestly can't find much chicken among the soggy fried coating. Took couple pieces and left the whole thing there after. Didn't bother bag that dish. When it comes time for check our server informed us the manager wanted to charge us for the free spring rolls that we didn't order. I was very taken back by this decision but decided not to make a big deal since I didn't want our server to be in trouble. $7 won't break a bank or ruin my night, but I definitely won't be going back since I don't agree with this business decision. The three star is for the beef, clean and spacey dining area, and hard working staff. The dough chicken and the not free "free" spring roll contributed to the missing stars. read more

I ordered chicken lomein for my sons, 7 & 4, the portion was barely enough to feed the two of them. the noddles were extremely salty, thank goodness my boys eat them one noodle at a time. These guys take their COVID precautions seriously. Phone orders and contactless payment and pickup options. My drunken noodles with chicken and my tom yum goong were packaged for dining on the go--a must for takeout when on the road these days. Delicious, Delicious, Delicious!! I have now eaten here 4 times, they've only been open 3 weeks! We've had two take outs, and two eat in experiences. The restaurant is decorated with many genuine Thai art pieces and carvings. It feels spacious, modern and comfortable. We have tried a variety of items, and all have been superb. The menu pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portions. In-house plating presentation is consistently elegant and portions are good. Take-out is equally as delicious with some simple finesse attention given to presentation, although one should not expect beautiful in foam containers, as one would plated dining in. The service is attentive, and staff and owners are all very kind. Your food is all cooked to order- so this is not a fast food restaurant. Be patient- it's SO worth it!! They don't have liquor license yet, but soon- it has been approved by the town Select Board, now waiting on ABC in Boston to process. Should be a couple of weeks. Some of what we've had so far: Appetizers: The veggie rolls are wonderful!! The beef Satay is tender and flavorful Sushi- California rolls- excellent! Entrees: Pad Thai Noodles, with shrimp- YUM! Drunken Noodles, spicy flavorful Basil Veggies with Beef - gorgeous veggies cooked so they are still crunchy with flavorful, tender beef and a light spicy sauce Basil Veggies with Shrimp- same as above yet with shrimp Basil Veggies with crispy chicken- similar, but with crisp which pieces Teriyaki Beef Entree- oh yum! My wife and I went to the 9th Monarch on a chilly Wednesday night, just the two of us. We split the fresh veggie rolls appetizer and the peanut sauce and sweet and sour sauce were both delish. I got the Chicken/Pork Pad Thai and was not disappointed. Good portion. Good presentation. Great flavor. My wife got the Chicken/Pork Teriyaki plate and she thoroughly enjoyed it as well. I'm not sure what's up with the negative reviews people have been leaving, but we got there at 6, were seated promptly, got to put in drink and appetizer orders right away. Service was prompt and polite. A manager came and asked how everything was. We will definitely be going back as we aren't super familiar with Thai food and there were plenty of tempting options on the menu to try. read more

Amazing! I'm not an expert on Thai food, but I do have very high Pad Thai standards. The 9th Monarch's Pad Thai is as good as- maybe even a little better than the Chatta Box. If you don't know the Chatta Box-- this comparison means the Pad Thai at 9th Monarch is PHENOMENAL. The tofu in the dish is breaded and fried perfectly; my picky husband didn't even know that's what he was eating! Friendly, quick service (we did take-out), reasonably priced, absolutely delicious. I don't give one-star ratings easily or often, but this wasn't even a "meh" experience. It was not good at all. Our server, while nice, was not on the ball. Got the one soda drink wrong. And this couldn't be attributed to a busy restaurant - we were one of three tables on a Saturday mid-afternoon. And while it's not the reason for the poor review, I might as well mention it. The reason for the poor review is the food. Hubbie ordered the sweet and sour chicken which was noted on the menu as being lightly breaded. The only thing light about it was the chicken - it was nearly ALL breading! I dissected a piece he didn't touch and found a thin sliver of dry chicken. But I really had to look for it. And I ordered the chicken pad thai, a staple. The flavor was sickly sweet and the chicken was rubbery. I'm not a food snob and usually scoff at people who complain about things like rubbery chicken, but I think it's because I had never experienced it before. Well, I know what rubbery chicken is now. Waiter was very attentive, the food was great (I had the Pad See Eaew and the Crazy Tuna Roll), and the restaurant itself was nicely put together and cool (temperature-wise) inside. I've traveled to Thailand quite a bit, and my dish was definitely comparable to what I ate over there, although the cooks here perhaps used a couple less types of spice. Only downside was that there didn't seem to be very many people around--maybe due to the location (it's in a tiny strip mall on a lesser highway) or maybe because it was Monday. So excited to have great Thai food locally!!! I stoped in for take out today and am not disappointed! When I walked in the restaurant was clean beautiful and the staff was super friendly. I ordered Kratong-Tong to start and it was super yummy! I just wish there was more shells! The corn chicken stuffing was savory and sweet and a must try. To finish I have tofu pad Thai which was delicious the only thing was the tofu was a little soggy and unflavored but the noodles and their seasoning were delish.
