We had a really nice, relaxing Monday at this brewery. The outdoor setup is great, with picnic tables on the sand, and I love that dogs are welcome. There was live music playing, which was such a nice touch for a laid-back holiday Monday while my son played corn hole. They have food trucks, although the sushi and taco truck was closed today since it was a Monday holiday. We ended up getting the fish and chips, which had a really light, crispy batter, and the clam chowder was possibly some of the best I've ever had! My son really enjoyed the chicken tenders too. Customer service was good at each of the trucks we ordered from. The bathrooms deserve a shoutout too--they were extremely clean and easy to get to, which is always a plus. They also have a full restaurant that I'd definitely like to come back and try another time. Overall, a really nice outdoor spot to grab some food, listen to live music, relax, and let the kids have some fun. Definitely worth checking out! The only reason I'm giving a four star is because I wish they were better with their advertising. We went on a Monday holiday which their hours say 3-9 but they opened at noon. If they had advertised hours and the fact certain trucks weren't going to be open- we would have planned accordingly. read more

I absolutely love the location of this place. New Bedford is my hometown, but I moved out right out of high school so when I come to visit I always like sticking to places along the water, in this location, checks that box perfectly. I've only been here a handful of times, and the food is always good. Sadly, I haven't always been great about taking photos. One thing that has been disappointing is the fact that, if it has kids, it wouldn't let them to put something like fish and chips on it. No. Paying homage to the seafaring town that the restaurant resides in, and the fact that the restaurant does host a massive amount of seafood for the adults, offering some smaller portion for the kiddos would be nice. The only way around it was ordering shrimp at $4 each and sharing some of our sides in order to make an entrée for our son. I know this is a minor gripe but it's kind of unfortunate for a place like Cisco. It won't stop us from coming. It's just now we know how to make it work. (And maybe now other people reading this will also know.) Can't wait to try the outdoor seating when the weather is nicer it does look pretty awesome. They do seem to have trouble checking you in on open table if you care about points from reservations on open table. It's a great spot for a small group dinner of a larger party. We stopped by after a hike to grab dinner and a couple beers. It was pretty crowded but they were able to seat us immediately. We had our pup with us so we had to sit outside but we didn't mind. The server helped us out right away and our drinks came pretty fast. The food took a little longer but it was worth the wait. Two suggestions would be: 1) to have the appetizer come out ahead of the food cause it would have been nice to munch on something while we waited for our main courses and 2) give a salsa for the chips so they can be dipped in something - a side of mango salsa would have been perfect. The fact that it's a law in Cisco's in New Bedford really upsets me, The food is is fine we had ice cream there, the ambience sucks, the music is so garbage, I hate live music, the band played a really sad song, it put me into tears and cried, I was so upset that I had to wear that stupid wristband even though I wasn't buying anything. along with that, a waitress came up to me asking if I was okay, I said no and then she asked why and I said to her It's all because I am required by law to wear a wristband regardless if I was buying an alcoholic beverage or not I said I was not going to, she politely said I didn't have to wear it and she didn't want me being upset over it, This is the worst trip I have ever been on, I AM NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN. Went here with the family for a birthday dinner, if you haven't tried their other places like Black Whale you're missing out! Food - I got the blackened salmon, my boyfriend got the Cisco burger (not pictured) and the rest of the family got different orders. I also had their seasonal strawberry cosmo and Cisco at the beach margarita. My blackened salmon was perfect and well seasoned, everything combined really nicely on the plate (corn, sweet potato, arugula, & a tomato sauce). My cocktails, I'd give the cosmo a 2/5 due to no strawberry taste, and my marg would be a 4/5 because only one side had the sugar rim instead of the whole rim. My boyfriend said his burger was cooked perfectly for medium rare and he had no complaints. We also really enjoy the boom boom shrimp here as well as at black whale since it's the same owners! Service - she was quick and tentative to our large party, and she didn't miss a beat with getting more drinks to our table/requests. Ambiance - always an interesting place it's also super packed during the night, the outside bars were also very nice, but super packed lol. All in all, this place is great and that was our 2nd time coming to this restaurant! Update: Emily from Cisco Brewers reached out and they ended up refunding the tickets. This was very much appreciated because we had a great time aside from the feeling that we had paid for something that everybody had gotten complimentary access to. Word of warning. Don't pay anything extra for any events here. We paid an extra 20 for seats for the wrestling. The seats were in no way reserved for ticket holders. Anyone could sit in them and we felt totally ripped off. They would have done better to charge a 3-5 cover for anyone who happened to come that day rather than this guarantee of a seat which was not guaranteed. Other wise the venue is fantastic, I love the beach sand and it's right on the water and is a total party and the beer is great. However the fries in the restaurant were not hot. And there were no jalapenos on the nachos. The veggie burger was a solid veggie patty though. Our waitress was also excellent. But yeah, charging for the tickets was a weird money grab that left a bad taste. Maybe if we had been here before we would have known better. But take this advice. Do not pay extra for any kind of prepaid tickets. It is bullshit. Otherwise enjoy! We had a pretty good time here. read more

What a cool summer spot! It was my first time and I will definitely be back! The only reason I am giving it four stars instead of five is because there was only really one vegetarian option on the menu that I would eat. I really wish there were more options. If I go there again, I would have to get the same dish and that's fine, but I do like to try different things at different places, and this place would not allow me to do that. I had the crispy sweet potato tacos, and they were very yummy. Also, when I went, they were out of any beers on draft, and that was a little disappointing. Still because of the ambience and the proximity to the water I gave it four stars, but there are definitely some easy ways to get up to five stars. Hopefully they add some vegetarian options to the menu at some point and if that does happen, I will come back and update my review. The service was great. This place would get 5 stars, but the bathrooms are completely repulsive and totally unsanitary!!(NOTE: they say you can use the indoor bathrooms but with the number of people there it's not really an option.)are repulsive! What they have outside is a portable lavatory trailer which they are using as a permanent structure. The soap dispensers are empty and/or broken and you have to go outside to get a towel so there's no way to avoid actual skin contact with the lock and handle. And they apparently are seldom if ever cleaned. I can't understand how the health department hasn't shut them down. read more

Everything from start to finish was really fantastic! The location is on the water with fantastic views and a great atmosphere. The hostess was very friendly and we were seated promptly with a nice water view. Shortly after we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to hear live music during the day so it was a great addition. This is a hopping place. Outside it is self serve, find your own table. Picnic tables and benches, a band started playing around 7. Food trucks with mostly fried food. You can sit outside and order takeout form inside- which I tried to do, but got through the checkout process and got a message the restaurant had closed down takeout orders. It's expensive, but relative given there really isn't someplace like this outside Newport. Bottled water (you have to get it from the food truck) was $4 each. Drinks were standard, around $12. Food was pricey- $10 from summer salad which was really just a bowl of arugula, a few tomatoes and maybe half of an ear of corn. Fish n chips (substituted watermelon for fries) was $22. Not sure I would eat here again, but defiantly would stop by for a drink on the water and the music. Parking is a premium. Seems most people park on the lot to the left or the street. We scored a spot in the small lot by sheer luck. Take a walk on the path around the water after it's pretty. read more

I wasn't sure if they just served beer here but upon getting here I found out immediately they have a great wine and liquor list, on top of a great beer menu. I sat at the bar and loved the experience. The bartender was great. They have sushi, barbeque, seafood, burgers, etc. here. You could come here everyday for weeks and not get bored with the menu. I thought the sushi roll I had was solid and the seafood platter I ordered was huge. This was mostly due to the size of the Shrimp, which were insanely huge. I really have no complaints. My only recommendation would be to add Sake to the drink menu as the restaurant has a great Sushi and seafood section and I think adding Sake to the menu would be a nice addition. read more

Cisco is a classic, and this location is no comparison to their Boston summer pop up! The ambience in the beer garden is top notch, with food trucks and drink trucks scattered about and great music always. The restaurant is superb, and despite service sometimes being on the slower side, I am sure it's because it is always slammed! If you're planning on eating in the restaurant, be sure to make a reservation so you don't have to wait upwards of an hour or two in prime time. I had the herb roasted chicken, and my friend had the teriyaki chicken, both of which were great! Not dried out, flavor was excellent, and sides were good. My family really enjoyed our visit. The location and decor are stellar with hip nautical design and clear water views in almost every direction. Our server was charming and helpful. The menu is incredibly diverse, not your typical beer kitchen. First of all they have a lot of Asian food including a nice selection of sushi with locally caught options, and Asian grille dishes like salmon on glass noodles with teriyaki glaze. My youngest daughter loved that dish, which made my wife and I very happy. The beer selections include a lot of atypical Cisco options including the seasonal IPA which had a perfectly balanced peach flavor - not too sweet or heavy. We loved dinner so why not desert? The carrot cake was good, a nice way to wrap up our meal. With the 195 bridge out for two years we will certainly be back.
