Rail Yard knocked it out of the park. The food was outstanding, and our server, Nyssa, was exceptional--friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. The steaks were seasoned perfectly, the wings were excellent, and the burgers were just as impressive. Every meal at our table was cooked right and packed with flavor. I have a feeling a lot of the people slamming this place are the same crowd that expects every business to cater to their politics and believes they're entitled to have everything reflect their personal views. Frankly, with all the rainbow flags and political messaging around town, it was refreshing to walk into a place in cowboy country that simply flies the American flag proudly instead of pandering the rainbow crap and sticks to serving great food. Awful food and waste of money. We sat down. Our waitress was Hannah. Cold old coffee was served. Asked for it to be replaced. It was not replaced but microwaved. I know this because it was so piping hot It couldn't have been otherwise. Still tasted stale. Everything we picked was "still frozen" and unavailable. I ordered fish and shrimp but only if they had malt vinegar. I was assured they did. The Food arrived burnt and cold.. No malt vinegar for fish and chips when told there was. Fish was burnt. Wouldn't have ordered otherwise. Asked for ketchup. Bottle was empty. My friend's food made him ill. Our day in WY was ruined.... Severe diarrhoea. Had to drive back to Colorado. Love the RailYard food and staff as well as the atmosphere in the restaurant. The appetizers are all good but I'm a huge fan of the bang-bang shrimp. The entree varieties are different from other places in town and the prices are very affordable for the quality of food. The management and staff are very personable and attentive. Some of the best service in Laramie. These folks also support local community and are some of the most generous when it comes to giving back locally. I cannot recommend RailYard enough!!! read more

Traveled through Laramie, WY. This looked like a nice place to eat. Sat down and my husband ordered the Bison meatloaf, was told they were all out of EVERYTHING BISON. He ordered something different only to find the other three tables around us that sat down after we did ordered something Bison and was not told the same thing that he was told. Have been here before & it was superb. Still love sitting at bar while looking out windows. Today was not superb. Service ok. Food not great. Had "special" burger ordered medium rare. Took longer cuz they "overdid first burger & cooked another one". That one was dried out n medium to well at best. Had Reuben sandwich which was flat & dry also. Not overflowing with juicy sauerkraut or sauce. Took half home to fix it up better for dinner myself. It wasn't halved, the bread wasn't toasted at all and the corned beef was sparse at best. My kids had burgers and said they were good. First and foremost, our server, Collin, was one of the most informed and attentive servers I have ever been around, including at Michelin ranked resturants . Yes, the food took awhile, but the place is packed, and considering it's the newest addition to Laramie, it should be expected. I got a Mac and cheese burger with sweet potato fries, my son a standard cheeseburger and fries, my mother the enchilada chicken soup. My mother said her soup was the best she's ever had, and she has eaten all over the world. The burger was the most moist and flavorful burger I've ever eaten, even putting mine to shame. The Mac and cheese has a wonderful almost lightly smokey flavor, with multiple cheeses. The standard fries are actually spiral cut potatoes that are cut up, and they tasted wonderful. The sweet potato fries were okay. I think I'll have to order the regular fries next time. We finished our plates, and that is something my picky son does not normally do. My mostly non meat eating mother tried our burgers, and I ended up giving her half of mine. I have never seen her eat a burger in my life. Definitely recommend trying it out! read more

Tonight at The Railyard. The food we ordered was good but not without some glitches. The server should not make this a career. Have not had server this bad in a long time. He was not forthcoming and offered no suggestions. We had to pull it out of him to even get a drink menu. He came back with one for a table of six and walked off. Had to wait for him to return to ask for another. Ordered drinks and my beer glass came with two chips in the rim. I did not see them before drinking but felt them when I took my first sip. Had to ask for another beer. That took some time. We then ordered our food, the Brussel sprouts salad with grilled chicken on it and bang bang wings with blue cheese. When the order came, it was wrong, and we only had four place settings for the six of us and had to ask him for that as well. Our food came without the chicken on the salad and no blue cheese for the wings. Flagged him down again but by this time we simply asked to have the chicken removed from the bill and we were 1/3 done with the wings before the blue cheese showed up. Like I said, good food, nice atmosphere, but poor service. Please train your servers in customer service or maybe it's just this one server. We are just traveling through but would not come back if we were staying in the area. I would not recommend this place. read more

The food is amazing! Bison rigatoni is my favorite, but theres the cajun pasta, and the roasted Railyard chicken with bacon wrapped asparagus that are also amazing! I was so disappointed. The man working in front of the kitchen are was using his BARE hands to pick up and plate fries from a large bowl on the serving plates for customers. And then touching his phone, computer screen and register without washing his hands in between or at all. I think I saw him RINSE his hands once. Our son noticed first as he was facing the kitchen and then none of us could even finish our meals. We did not see gloves or hair nets either in the kitchen. It was downright disgusting to think about where his hands had been! On an up note our server Paige was phenomenal. Wonderful personality and attentive. Note sure I can go again. I go to railyard 3-4 times per week. The food is really good and the Owner Chris and the rest of his staff are elite. Its the best restaurant in Laramie and its not even close. Stop In and tell them Coach mac sent you. read more

Water had floaters in it like ice wasn't clean? Service took 30 minutes to ask if we wanted anything other than water or appetizers. Once we got our drinks (they only have one bartender but it took 30 more minutes) it took an additional 30 minutes to take our order and then our food came out relatively quickly after that. The food was mid. The pasta looked like it had been sitting for a while, but it was still good. Not great for the price. I don't think I would eat here again. The waitress was kind of timid or lazy (couldn't decide) but the drinks were good. It gives me Rib and Chop vibes but with Atlitude food. I would rather pay the price for good service and a cleaner atmosphere and eat at Altitude. I would maybe go back for drinks! I get they are new but it seems like management isn't really around or they rushed to open. read more

I have ordered the black n bleu 3 times and yet have gotten a burger that looks like the one in the menu. The first had no blue cheese the 2nd had a teaspoon full and today I ordered it and it came with sliced cheese they told me was blue cheese. In 28 years of being a chef I have never seen sliced blue cheese at a bar and grill and if it is sliced blue cheese why dont I taste blue cheese. Its not a subtle flavor. The Alfredo was brown and had a slight taste of rotten meat. The soda was flat both diet and regular Pepsi. Both burgers were cooked fine but got tater-tot when I asked for fries. Service - I am unable to comment on the food as twice I have placed an order and have not received my food. The first time I placed an order on their website at 10 AM for a 12:15 pick up. Showed up at 12:15 to get my food and was told they canceled my order and refunded my money. I was not informed of this through the various contact information i was asked to provide. I was told they let me know through their app. Okay fine. 1 week later I download their app and place another order. I show up to pick it up and all of the doors are locked and 3 other people are there to pick up their order also with no notice that they would not be getting their orders. This is not okay to happen multiple times. This time there is a charge on my account and guess what no one is there to answer the phone. I will not be giving them a 3rd opportunity to ruin my day. read more

We travel through Laramie 2-3 times a year. 1100 miles one way. We appreciate good food and service. We have a restaurant we frequent a block over where we get both. This restaurant did not deliver either. We had the shrimp appetizer which was very saucy. It had a good taste but the heat from the shrimp in combo with the sauce made it soupy and cooked the cabbage. I was expecting some crunch from the cabbage. I had the Thai salad with the hibachi chicken. Nice selection of spring mix with sliced green and orange peppers. Good taste. Not disappointing. This is where the down hill slide started for my husband. The salad had onions which asked to be left off. He sent it back and it came back with onions. I think the top was scraped off. He was offered to have onions taken off plate and then to remake it without onions. He declined. He ordered shrimp fettuccine. Came out warm. Sent it back to be heated up. Took more time than was considered acceptable for a remake and only three other tables occupied in place. We call that punishment for complaining. They offered to remake the dish it came out with different noodles and sauce. I had tasted both dishes. The remake tasted like Mac and cheese. I think he got the lobster Mac and cheese. When my husband asked to talk to a manager the waitress came back with a comp on his meal. Manager was not to be found. If you're going to manage a restaurant show some ownership and get in the game. Come out of the basement where the staff said you were. Sorry for the lengthy version but better run on this one and use our standby a block over.
