Laramie was packed the night we went out to eat and this would easily be a 4 star review if the service was better. Tried a few of their beers since it took an hour to get our paninis and while everyone was as nice and accommodating as they could be, felt like the management was out of office as they offer a very limited menu and wait times were staggering.

Nice place to take a beer break when traveling to Yellowstone National Park. Very straight up clean tasting beer no frills everything was good.

Coal Creek is a fun place to unwind after being outside all day...or hunker down when the weather is bad. They have beers to please different tastes - IPAs, stouts, helles, blonde. You can also order some basic food items and there is a cafe next door. If I were to be critical, I would love to see them carry some simple games and some firkin' brews to keep things fresh!

My husband and I stopped in while we were visiting town. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the beers were delicious, and they also made a great mixed drink! We both got a salad and it was fresh and delicious! This was a great place to spend part of our afternoon!

Friendly service, very good beer (had a pitcher of the Queen's Lunch IPA) and decent pizza (had the Wyoming pizza, but they were out of bison so I had to substitute with bacon and pepperoni). If I come back, I'd order something different off the menu. Overall, I enjoyed sitting outdoor on a nice evening and drinking some local beer.

Solid beer at Coal Creek Tap!

Not a bad place. The taproom is located in downtown Laramie so you get that kind of vibe... like most of Laramie it's kind of on the more subdued side but this brewery is relaxing enough where you can pull up a chair and have beer and unwind a bit. Coal Creek Tap seems to be a newer brewery in the area... I have been to the other ones prior visits but Coal Creek was a new one for me. When I swung by here on my way back to Denver to fly back to Washington I grabbed their Coal Train Coffee Stout. All in all it wasn't too bad. I've had stouts where the body was a bit more robust and the coffee aspect more noticeable but the beer was pleasing enough. The bartender was friendly and service was prompt. No complaints there. My forte with beer drinking are brews with a more experimental edge to their ingredients or a flavor that is exceptional and extremely memorable. I didn't quite get that here but that's no reason not to swing by and get a brew here!

Wonderful staff, beautiful venue connected to the coffee shop, clean, excellent seating, and great beers!! We liked the Queen and double IPA. Bery laidback and fun atmosphere and people. The pizza was wonderful too! We got the sausage and pepper and do not regret it!

Cool spot with nice sunny seating, delicious beer flights, and great service. Love that they write down your beers in order on the flight so you don't forget which is which. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Laramie!

Great atmosphere and solid beers. I grabbed a flight, (mentioned in my check-in) scoring four five-ounce samples of the "Heavy 80," Scotch Ale, the "Wyoming Toad," Rye IPA, the "Samurai," Imperial IPA and the "Liberator," Espresso Dopple Bock respectively. To be fair, I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan--named 'Beer City USA' by Enquirer.com--so my craft beer palette can be a snobby bitch. AJ and I liked the Samurai most, but I really enjoyed the Rye IPA too. The Espresso Dopple Bock was lost on me. I'm not a huge "heavy beer" consumer normally, so getting me to like a flavorful, dark beer is more difficult. Usually I stick to the Vanilla Java Porter from Atwater. Sadly, the Heavy 80 left little impression on me to review a day later. That Samurai, however, is a great Imperial IPA to try. And I'd definitely get that "Toad" Rye IPA again, too. The physical location is awesome, and not to be forgotten--very friendly and beer-savvy staff.

The Reuben sandwich here is amazing! The atmosphere is very cool as well! Big thumbs up!

This is a shining example of how to run a taproom the right way. Very cool space with excellent craft beer. They use the exact proper glassware for each style of beer which is something I have never seen executed at this level. The bar tender was excellent and very knowledgeable. Food was good and the prices for everything are very reasonable. We have been visiting craft breweries as a hobby for years and this one really stands out! If you are ever visiting Laramie this is the one must visit place.

This is the pizza that is so worthy!

The service here was great and I have to give a shoutout to Sydni for being such a lovely bartender. They have a marshmallow sour and hear me out because at first I was like, ummm idk about that but when I sampled it, it was like insanely stupid good. If you like to drink sours then I would recommend ordering that one. One of the coolest things that I've ever seen within my travels was a beer keg urinal that is in their men's bathroom. All in all, the service was amazing, the beer was amazing and I wound definitely stop in here again the next time that I'm in town. Once again, thank you Sydni.

It was well-balanced & finished clean. On our visit to the 2nd location, we arrived just after opening & were able to grab some cooler filler stouts , on top of our 2 pours for the passport. The service here was great, tho, again, it was early so we definitely beat the crowd! We were advised of the open container option, should we want to check out downtown while we sipped. I always love towns that offer this for their downtown, so, Bravo!

Great selection and variety. It feels a little upscale here so doesn't always feel as comfy for a casual lunch with kids. I got a chicken ceasar salad and it was okay, nothing special. Maybe the draw here is the drinks, I wouldn't know. We started off with the pepper jack cheese curds, which were actually pretty tasty, but it's hard to mess up cheese curds so not too many kudos there. Our entrees were extremely disappointing. The burger we got was dry, and looked like it had been nuked in a microwave. Frankly, Freddys burgers look more appetizing than the one we received. The sweet potato fries looked freshly unfrozen and sad. I got the crispy Mac and cheese with the brisket option. Brisket was fatty and dry, and the Mac and cheese was such a small portion, the 9 pieces of brisket they gave me made my plate look small. For Mac and cheese, it was alright. I've made better with $12 at home, but the brisket was extremely disappointing for the markup they charged. I almost forgot to mention, there was only about 12-13 people here, with 1/4 of those being individuals sitting at the bar. It took us close to 40 minutes to get our food! Absolute insanity since there was almost nobody here. Better yet, the food arrived lukewarm! Service was fine. Ambience was nice, the actual building itself was nice to sit in, but the food was so sad and overpriced, I'll probably never set foot in here again. I can get better Mac and cheese in the Walmart fresh food section and a better burger at Freddy's 10 minutes down the road.

We stopped in during the afternoon while traveling and were short on time. One of the reasons we…read morechose this place was because it had been recommended to us by ChatGPT for its good atmosphere and food, so we arrived with positive expectations. If you are on a schedule, hungry, or just passing through, I strongly recommend having a reservation before going. Another issue was the online menu experience. Their website would not open properly for us, and the menu information we found online did not match the physical menu we were given at the restaurant. That made it difficult to plan ahead or know what to expect before arriving. The host was initially kind enough to seat us at the bar so we would not be turned away, which we appreciated. We ordered a quick meatball dish to go and were told it would be about 10 minutes. Unfortunately, it ended up taking around 45 minutes. Had we been informed clearly from the beginning that the food would be significantly delayed, and that not having a reservation would place us at the back of the queue, we would have simply gone somewhere else and saved everyone the inconvenience. By the time the food arrived, we were tired and frustrated. During the wait, it was explained to us that because we did not have a reservation, other orders had to be prioritized ahead of ours. While the meal was ultimately provided at no charge, the overall experience was stressful and not ideal for travelers on a tight schedule. If you plan to visit, especially while on the road, I would recommend reserving in advance and allowing extra time. Good luck!
