We have had good experiences at Acme. The staff has pleased us with professional service, customer focus, listening to our needs and within a budget we can handle. And they have a friendly crew that takes pride in doing a job right. We've been there 4 times over 15 years with the little things that happen when we park. This week I brought my car in to have a hood problem diagnosed and to make an appointment to have the hood repaired. Don and a great mechanic spent at least a half an hour trying to diagnose the hood problem. They fiddled and tweaked and then explained all was well and the car was now safe to drive. I was so impressed with how they discussed the problem, fixed the problem and sent me off with a smile and "Have a great day"...all this with no charge! I was told by a friend that Acme was a very ethical and excellent Auto Center...and this totally proved to be totally true. Thank you! read more

Excellent experience at Acme! Rob looked at my front bumper which had become detached, called in one of his mechanics, and he fixed it right then and there. The end result looked terrific. Both Rob and the mechanic were professional and personable. AND, they didn't charge me anything! I was in and out within 20 minutes with a huge smile on my face. Nobody likes taking their car into the shop, but these folks made the process a whole lot less horrible. I was rear-ended by a big truck, and took my car to Acme to get it fixed. Everyone who I spoke with there was incredibly helpful. Rob even called me multiple times with updates when the insurance company was slow to respond. In the end, it was determined that my car wasn't worth fixing, but even then, the folks at Acme were incredibly helpful, giving me the phone numbers of local salvage yards. Update: I have now used Acme for a mirror repair and they were fantastic. Reasonably priced, fast, responsive. Great place! Previous review: Full disclaimer: I only had to have an insurance inspection done, so that is the extent of my experience with Acme. Now that I got that out of the way, my experience with Acme Auto was fantastic. I needed to get my new car "inspected" (the insurance inspection where they take a bunch of pictures and that's about it) within a handful of days. I tried calling the Midas and they told me I'd need to get the car washed before the inspection and that even if I did that, by the time I drove over to them the car would be too dirty for them to take the pictures! So...no one ever buy cars when there is snow on the ground? Absurd! I called Acme and she said as long as there was no snow on the car and it was sunny we'd be good to go, no appointment necessary. I got in and out in less than 10 minutes and even received a nice follow up letter in the mail early the next week. Thanks Acme! read more

Don and the great folks at Acme Automotive go above and beyond. When I was t- boned only a couple months after purchasing my vehicle, the car needed major repairs and replacements. The team at Acme automotive, did beautiful, efficient work and communicated with me every step of the way. Having a car accident is no fun - BUT - dealing with compassionate and respectful and efficient folks as you go through the process of setting up the repair makes it a whole lot easier to bear. And, the folks at Acme ( from receptionist on up ) made my day even better than bearable following my accident! They were so kind and helpful that I left smiling! Now that's amazing!!! Excellent customer service. I had work on my front bumper done, and it was completed within two days, exactly as quoted, even with finding additional damage when they were working on the car. So they completed the quoted work and more within the specified time. My interior was cleaned spotless and vacuumed when I picked it up which was a great surprise! When I called to say I would be there in a few minutes to pick up my car, they had it running and all warmed up for me on this cold snowy day. I truly appreciated the personal way I was treated by the entire staff at ACME. Hopefully I won't need to come back, but if I do, I know I will be dealing with a great facility. My experience with Acme Automotive was extremely poor. I had brought in my car for an estimate and was dissatisfied with the exorbitant price I was given. After all was said and done, I had my car towed to another shop. (By the way, that place at which I later had it repaired charged $1300 less and did a beautiful job. Also, my car was clearly repaired properly, because it then passed inspection.) When I went in to settle the bill on 5/21/13, I was shocked to find out that I was being charged for 10 hours of labor, which came to $450. All that was "explained" in writing on the bill was "Disassemble Car for Comprehensive Supplemental Damage Est." When I asked for an itemized breakdown of the process, I was refused one. Not wanting to leave delinquent, I paid and left. I then checked my bank account the next day and saw that the check had already been cashed (I wrote it after 3pm.) I also got a call from the owner, wanting to explain their process. When I agreed to speak with him, under the pretense of asking for my money back, I was handed an itemized bill that was printed the day of hour meeting (printed 5/23/2013 at 12:34pm). Clearly, it was generated after I was forced to pay, or I would have received it upon request two days earlier. Oh, and I didn't get a penny back. read more

Was referred here by my uncle after my car was dented in the back bumper while parked. I was quoted that it would take 5 days, which I was completely expecting. After the second day I had a call from Don that my car would be ready on the 3rd day, thus it was much earlier than expected. On top of quick and speedy service, my car was returned completely washed and it appears as though they even cleaned my rims! I'm not sure if they do this for all customers, but this was EXCEPTIONAL. I went to Acme after having bodywork done at another auto body place. I had driven away, going back to my town, when I saw red paint on my silver car. It appeared that someone had been painting a car red and then went over to my car and touched it in several places! I was near Acme, and before returning to the other auto body place in the next town , decided to ask if they knew of any household soap or whatever to clean the paint off. They said they'd take care of it and used their own solvent to clean it all off! I was very impressed as they hadn't even done the body work. I was even more surprised when I took out my wallet and they said there was no charge!!!! It's really a pleasure dealing with such a professional, going the extra mile, business. I immediately felt welcomed and taken are of when I stepped into ACME. My repair consultant not only worked with my every step of the way and kept me updated, but he helped me understand how collisions and insurance companies work. My damages cost close to $3000, and it was all fixed within a week and a couple days. He made it a point to get my vehicle in and out of the shop. I signed up on yelp just to write a review about Acme. I called to set up an appointment to get my car looked at after I was hit in an accident. The woman on the phone was so nice and got me an appointment first thing the next morning, she even called the rental car company for me and had them come pick me up. From then on I only spoke with Lisa and I really can't say enough nice things about her. She explained everything that was going to happen, dealt with the insurance company for me, responded to my e-mails quickly, and called with updates as they happened. I brought my vehicle her and they gave me a complete run around, Lied to me put on a show like the rep. who looked at my vehicle was talking to the manager, all lies, they didn't want to do it because my insurance company apprised the damage as minimal and they just couldn't do it to make money, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, They are liars, and don't know how to treat people, I have been in business for 12 years and have never treated anyone as these people treated me at acme, very patronizing and arrogant! read more

As good as it gets. I have been here twice, (accident prone) and the fact that I am willingly admitting that in a review shows how pleased I am with Acme and their services. I am absolutely blown away by the quality of customer service that I received here. Every single person I dealt with was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. Not once did I feel out of the loop about the progress of the repairs on my vehicle. My latest visit was a pretty serous accident, and was right outside of the body shop. I came in immediately after with my car, and Ray, the service agent I dealt with assured that I was okay and made me feel so comfortable in such a stressful and miserable time. They originally quoted me a longer wait time to get my car back, under the impression that I had rental on my insurance (I understand why the wait time was long, this place is the best in the area), after I let them know that I was paying out of pocket for my rental they assured me that they would do everything that they could to get it done sooner, and they finished almost 10 days earlier than my insurance company had projected! The car looked amazing, and they even vacuumed and cleaned the inside. I explained the day before that I was on a tight time schedule and had to pick up the car before work, and he had the car running and ready out front for me when I picked it up! They recognize the little things that make a BIG difference. It took about 5 minutes to go over paperwork and I was on my way. I would recommend this place to ANYONE looking to get quality repairs and great service. If there is a wait- it's only because they are an outstanding company with many loyal customers. Worth the wait- I've heard horror stories of other auto centers in the area. Support local business and go to Acme. This may sound like an ad- but its just a really, really satisfied customer who recognizes that many businesses forget about the value of quality customer service. read more
