So I recently went back to him for some auto body work on my car that had scratches from where I rubbed up against an icy snow pile that was full of broken pavement and made some deep scratches that I couldn't fix myself. The fender looks like new. They were even able to get some of the scratches out of the rubber of the bumper. This must have been one of the WORST car repairing experiences I have encountered. I will describe…read morethem in descending order by degree of unbearable: 1. This is the most unacceptable mistake to me. The nuts on one of the wheels are LOOSE and the tire is UNDERPRESSURE when they return the car to me. I drive off the store for about a mile and many warning lights show up on my dashboard, I return to the store to question them about it. When they came out to check my car, they realize the wheel nuts are loose. I was planning to take the highway, imagine what could happen if I didn't go back to the store to confront them. They literally put my and my wife's life in danger once. By the way, this is a picture of the state of my trunk when the car returned to me. What gives them the confidence to charge $85 an hour for a job like this? I saw no respect for customer property here. 2. They inform me that they do not have the rim that fits my car, so they need to order a new one from a dealer in Hartford, which shall arrive on Friday. I am fine with that, as long as it did not delay my plan next week; then on Friday, they told me the rim will not arrive today, so I need to wait until next Tuesday. So I made a plan to pick up my car that same day, and guess what, it got delayed again, by the time I pose this comment, I still haven't got the wheel. And what they did is just put the spare tire on my car, which lead to incident 1 above happens. If they are just gonna put the spare tire on my car, I could have picked up my car a whole week early and won't waste so much time waiting for that rim only God knows when it will arrive. 3. Do not expect to get a warranty from them if you planned to have your car fixed here. When I came down there to get my car, I asked if there is a warranty for the parts they have fixed, the manager immediately jumped out and informed me they do not guarantee the mechanical aspect they have fixed unless it is caused by their fitting craftsmanship and not the parts they ordered from the dealer. The question is, how the hell am I supposed to know the cause if an accident really happens. On top of that, even the "guarantee for their fitting craftsmanship" is a verbal promise, so who knows whether they will fulfill that promise. To be fair, they do promise you will get a warranty for body repair, but I wouldn't know since I didn't get that service here.

My car went in for a simple recall and a check on the remote entry key and came out not running proper with all the dash warning lights on. When returned to them they claimed it was not related to the previuos work completed. I found that they had rebooted the computer to fix the key and resulted in the car running badly. They blamed the bad work on me the client and charged $89 for a diagnostic that was thier issue in the begining. When I complained to VW of America and the owner of the company...Dana wrote me back a rude email stating it was my issue and he would rather not do any further work for me. I aslo had brought the car in for a recall item...leaking sunroof. They cleaned the car with a powerful cleaning agent that burned our eyes and smelled like an old outhouse. When we returned it, they told my wife that she was wrong and that it did not smell at all...what ever happened to the client is always right? over all I rate them low because they are rude, are unable diagnose or fix the problems and when the do something incorrect they balme it on the client and charge them for it.

We have bought two cars here. Those experiences were fine. However, the service department is a…read moredifferent story. At best they are inept, but that feels too kind. It really seems that they are dishonest and corrupt. Every time we have brought our car there, within a week we need to return for a new problem that didn't exist previously. This last time, they replaced some tires. The next day within 1 hour the brakes seized. Either your inspection was inadequate and you put us back on the road in an unsafe car, or you broke something during the repair. They charged us a diagnostic inspection fee ($90), even though they had the car less than 24 hrs earlier. They then wanted $3000 for new brakes. Huh? You didn't see that when the wheels were off, and you want to charge us for a diagnostic inspection. No thanks. I will never use this unscrupulous business again for service. We are going to be replacing this car soon with another Honda soon, but they have lost our business. It's a shame because I would like to keep business local and tax dollars local, but I cannot support them any more. Too bad.
