I just moved around the corner from this cafe and was happy to find this secluded coffee shop. It very chill and removed from the chaos closer to the Morgan or Montrose stops. The menu includes some of the asian comfort food I grew up with so I am very excited to come here more often. The man working behind the counter is very helpful and friendly. This place definitely settled in an ambitious spot like a review below mentioned. Because of the neighborhood I truly hope that this place survives. The food here is above average (not the greatest thing of all time) the prices are slightly high but still fair. The place inside is beautiful and they have free wifi too! If you can only get one thing I would definitely recommend ordering a drink. Their coffee is to die for and definitely worth the higher price tag. I suggest the iced pumpkin pie latte and I love that they make it with less sugar and allow you to add simple syrup on your own. Overall it's a place that I'm definitely coming to regularly for coffee or tea and occasionally for a simple but yummy meal. read more

A hidden gem in a less than fashionable area of East Williamsburg. Behind the rather anonymous name and exterior is some of the best food and coffee in the area. The sandwiches are unusual and awesome (and unusually, pleasantly small and delicate for an American café) -- my favourites are the refried beans, fried egg and cilantro sandwich. The egg, kale and cheddar is also superb. Lots of flavour packed into a small meal. It's worth keeping in mind that there's a single chef who makes everything and also does coffee, and so the wait time can be fairly long. It is, however, worth the wait. I have not tried the Asian dishes yet (of which there are plenty: kimchi rice, udon, ramen, noodle salads, jiaozi), but I'm looking forward to doing it. read more

A friend recommended this place as the best bacon egg and cheese nearby our new apartment, and it did not disappoint! So tasty. I don't normally write reviews, but the guy who was running the operation was so incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming. Just went to the place today. Love trying new places and I must say If I am working in the area again I will make it a priority to stop here and grab their amazing toasted whole wheat toast with avocado mashed with a fried egg and their special sauce. It had to the one of the best sandwiches I have had. Also had a caramel latte and it was pretty good. I recommend this place highly. Maybe one or two years ago this place deserve 5 stars. Things have changed. Maybe it is a new cook, different suppler or a change in recipe, but things have been slowly changing for the worse. The coffee is less flavorful, almost water down. The ramen noodle sucks now and they should go back to the old recipe. It is now way too salty and the toppings/noodles texture used to be so much better. If they just fix the little things, this will be back at 5 stars! read more

As tourist from California we were craving some yummy soup to keep us warm from the chilly NYC weather. This establishment provided great service and food. The cashier was really friendly and welcomed us with a cheery good morning. We were a little short on change and the cashier was okay with it. It was really helpful since I need caffeine to function. The pork belly soup was Delish and the fried rice was great! The only comment I have is the lack of Sriracha sauce. It would be the cherry on top to their great food! read more

I really like this place. It's comfortable and in a secluded place but close to the J train. I've only have the cold brew which is a solid cold brew (as in it is tasty and packs some caffeine). I went here for the first time last week, and liked it quite a bit. It has your standard coffee, tea (organic), snacks, baked goods, and fruit, but it also has some interesting offerings like Udon noodles and some other Japanese dishes. The proprietor is very nice, and gifted me some sort of baked coconut pastry during my visit. Delicious. (yes, I can be bought quite easily) Definitely a good place to come and grab a cup of coffee. Overall a really satisfying lunch. For 2, we ordered the avocado edamame toast (2 pieces), pork dumplings, and veggie cold noodles. I was surprised that my least favorite was the toast, tasted fine but nothing special. The dumplings were amazing (boiled variety, lightly pan fried) and the cold noodles were really good.
