    Chips, salsa, queso, steak burrito.
    Paris W.

This was the most well prepared to-go food I've ever had!! We got chips & queso. a steak burrito, and the Hawaiian chicken fajitas. They have the best tasting salsa and queso around town, but there is something to be said for properly packaged food you take home. They give you all the "extras" in their own containers. Enough salsa that it matches what you would get if you dine-in and got an extra round at the table, plus extra chips. My burrito was so good and enough for 2 meals. The same with my wife's fajitas (which aren't pictured because we were starving and smashed them). I'm a bad Yelp user who loves to read all of your reviews and doesn't write enough of my own. This was so good, I wanted Coco to know they are doing a great job. It means a lot to get a meal that feels fresh 40 minutes after it walked out the restaurant door. Cheers to the whole staff! Thank you.

Husband thought I looked so good in the lighting, we're getting remarried next weekend! Dazzling atmosphere, food, and gorgeous lol quick + kind service!

Our first visit today & we really enjoyed it. The decor is very modern , & pretty with bright festive colors. I appreciated having our meal by the great Frida Kahlo. The service was attentive. The food was reasonably priced & tasty. I haven't had a fried ice cream in years , and theirs is delicious and brought back happy memories. I also appreciated the server kept my glass filled & even brought a to go cup without me asking, very thoughtful. We are happy to discover this restaurant & will be back again. Coco just opened up on Monday and so glad to have another new addition to the Mint Hill neighborhood. Family owned and operated I believe and you can sense that upon walking in and being greeted very warmly. Decor and everything is brand new and very clean as well. Service was speedy and food delicious. I had the ChoriPollo which was chorizo, chicken and melted cheese - so good I couldn't wait before taking a picture! Green sauce with the chips was 10/10 and flan was also very good. Highly recommend and will be back!

This was the second time I came here and the last. Every time I come here, the food tastes so bland. The birria tacos tasted like nothing but heat. The worst part is a lot of the stuff is overpriced. I'm blown away that a side of guacamole is $7. Did they get the avocado from Eden's garden?? I could buy 5 whole avocados for $7 and they didn't even give me half an avocado. The tacos were $18, asked for extra onions but didn't get it, the coke was $4 and it wasn't even the high quality one. I asked for hot sauce because I couldn't eat the tacos without something to add flavor not to mention the tortilla was completely falling apart but instead they gave me mild salsa and when I asked the waiter again, I was given salsa again. I know they have hot sauce because I got it the first time I came here. I will say they came out with the food very fast and it was hot but I will not be coming back

We came here from out of town and so glad we did. The restaurant was so clean and spacious and the staff was very attentive and friendly. They had a choice of mild and spicy picante sauce with the warm chips. I ordered the chicken fajitas and they came out fresh and hot. Guacamole tasted very fresh and was flavorful as well.

I came in this week as I was anxiously awaiting their opening! It was not super busy and it did take a while to have a server come to my table - however, since they are brand new I expect these type of challenges at first. They provide a basket of chips to start and two salsas - one mild and one spicy. Both were very good and I used the spicy one to top off my dish. I was excited to see Sopes on the menu! I ordered the carnitas and they were filling and delicious. I definitely plan to be back soon as there are a lot of other menu items I'd like to try.

Fresh fruit for Margs! So great to finally have a place in Mint Hill that squeeze's the fruit upon order. I got the flight of Margs and each one was very good, guava being my favorite. The food was great as well. We ate every bite and was very happy to have a tasty Mexican restaurant in Mint Hill. The service was very good which is great to see for a restaurant that just opened. The ambience inside is very well done. It's a colorful and lively atmosphere that is fun and up to date. We will be back often. This is a 10/10 restaurant

Getting started to eat a nice dinner Great conversation with the team at the restaurant Filling like family

I don't know where to begin with this review, but here it goes…read more.. Our visit to Taxco yesterday evening was so disappointing :( It was Cinco de Mayo, and it's worth noting we've celebrated there on this holiday in previous years. Also worth noting that we have loved the food here and this review is strictly about CUSTOMER SERVICE! Our wait to get a table wasn't long. We were seated at a table in the corner on the outdoor patio after 10 minutes. It took about 10-15 minutes for a staff member to recognize us seated there, and he brought over some chips and salsa. Then we waited another 10-15 minutes to get some waters, which we had to ask another staff member for. Then after another 10-15 minutes we had to stop and ask again if anyone was going to take our order, they said someone will be with us shortly. After waiting another 10-15 minutes we stopped another staff member and asked if they could take our drink and food order because we've been waiting for a while, so they did. While waiting for another 30 minutes, we saw other customers who got waited on promptly after being seated after us, and who ended up getting their orders (bar drinks & food) before us. When there was still no food or drinks at our table after this 1-2 hour ordeal, we decided to leave. We walked up to the front to tell the hostess, and also asked for a manager to tell them about our situation...and that's when everything went downhill for us. The manager was VERY RUDE when talking with her and kept using a busy 'holiday' as an excuse. We explained we were one of their weekly and long time customers. The guy who runs the bar practically knows my name and I don't even have to say anything when I pick up orders because he recognizes me immediately. He even recognizes my voice when I call in an order, and notices when I haven't been at the restaurant for more than a week. Anyway, we calmly told the manager about our experience seeing others get waited on promptly...they were picking and choosing who to serve. She didn't care at all about what we felt or had to say. We mentioned at the end of the convo that they lost a long life customer for the way she was responding to our concerns, and her response was "GOOD LUCK!" We loved Taxco because it was our local Mexican restaurant in Mint Hill. The food was great. We've supported them for over 8 years, through the pandemic, and definitely have spent A LOT of our money there. I've featured them on my foodie page numerous times and have recommended them to SO MANY people in the Charlotte area! It is so sad to see service like this in our area, poor restaurant management, and zero loyalty to a customer base. Unfortunately, our relationship with Taxco has come to an end now. Good Luck!

I also got the elote loco. I really wanted a traditional elote but the lady said elote loco and I replied yes, and so that's how that went. Not even 10 min later my food was out. They give complimentary chips & salsa. The elote loco was ok. Not usually something I would order but wasn't bad. I ate it all. Worth ordering twice if you're a fan of the red stuff. My burrito was a decent size. Short and fat. Rolled terribly. All of the guac and little bit of sour cream was on one side of the burrio and the other end had the chicken and rice. There was a thin amount of beans. The chicken was hella dry. Like it has been cooked a day before and reheated in a microwave. The flavor was lacking. The chips and salsa. The chips were warmed, but the salsa was giving crushed tomatoes with garlic. It was more of a tomato than a salsa. Personally, I wouldn't come back but they do have other dishes and so maybe I just ordered something that isn't one of their bests. My total was around $26. A bit steep for such mid food.
