The Longanisa Sope Benny caught my eye and we also ordered the Breakfast Carbonara Pasta. The Longanisa Benny was unique, and unexpectedly very yummy and flavorful. I love it more than the carbonara. Found this restaurant through yelp and was not disappointed. For starters, we got the Empanadas, Tuna Tartar, and Fried Deviled Eggs. All three were amazing with the Deviled Eggs taking the cake. The waitress highly recommended the Blackened Artichoke Pork Chop, so I went with that, and my girlfriend ordered the Pesto Tagliatelle. The Pork chops were INSANE. Super well seasoned, very tender, and the cream sauce pairs well with it. Would highly recommend it. The pesto pasta was good as well, had an interesting pistachio flavor, but needed some salt. We had a great time at 1909. I came with some girlfriends for an impromptu casual birthday dinner celebration. The place was decked out with neon hearts and balloons inside, which was so cool. We sat outside on the heated patio and it was extremely comfortable and kept us warm since it was a cool night. Our server was great and worked with us to concoct our own version of some of the dishes on the menu, which was fun. They also brought out a delicious Coca Cola ice cream float for the birthday girl! Less than 4 or 5 star reviews pain me. They really do. I cherish a great experience, and always seek to give praise. We moved to the area a few months ago, and this place quickly became one of our faves. Not sure what happened! But during the last couple visits the vibe and the food were off. Hopped in yesterday to try the brunch. The hostess was visibly not feeling it, and that can kinda set the tone. Were sat and approached by the server, who we would later find out was subbing for another server, also not feeling it. Lots of stern upset looks except for our actual server (tall guy that's a marvel fan, he was awesome), and a bald bearded guy that was super friendly and helping everyone. 3/5 for service, marvel guy added a star at the end or would have been 2. The food; Birria hash 3/5.... It was flavorful but dry as can be. Couldn't even really separate it without a knife. Birria is supposed to be juicy not chalky. Longganisa Chorizo Benny 3/5.... Again, flavorful but the sope underneath was too thick and overcooked, which overwhelmed the good flavors. The Espresso Whipped French Toast 6/5.... Phenomenal. Saved the day. Best thing on the menu. Came here for brunch with my friend and it didn't disappoint. I got the fried chicken Benedict which was different but good. It didn't have very much sauce on it and needed to ask for extra since it was dry and the poached egg was overcooked :( I was sad the egg was overcooked it's my favorite part of an eggs Benedict. Our original server went to lunch and we got passed off to Val and she never really checked on us so my food got cold waiting for the extra sauce. We waited until our server got back from his break to get an another round of mimosas. The restaurant is super cute and has a lot of patio seating. It's right in the middle of old town Temecula so there is parking all over. Let me start off by saying it was decorated so cute for Valentine's Day, and our service was great! However, the food was very mid. I ordered the curated Valentine's Day menu and the strawberry pomegranate salad was very sour and the lettuce was so hard and barely edible. The strawberries weren't ripe at all and mostly white in color. The steak was fine, but just average and cold, with no side offered except shoestring onions. The desserts were both terrible. The cake for the woopie pie was soooo dry and the strawberry mousse was terrible and low effort. My friend's burger was good but her fries were cold and hard. I expected more from 1909. read more

I came here to celebrate a big milestone of getting a new job. I ordered my go to, the Pesto Tagliatelle, and as always, it did not disappoint. The pasta is so flavorful and filling. I also love how they add pistachios to it. I also tried my moms Cranberry White Cheddar Salad, and it was great! We also got an order of honey garlic fries which are so good, I could probably eat them all myself! Our waiter was so friendly and patient with us and brought me a root beer float to celebrate. This is a very simple and straight-forward dining establishment. You can get a good sense from the entire Yelp Outside pics. The receptionists were quick and attentive. We started with their Old Fashion. As you can see in my pic, their name is on the ice block. BUT what can't sense is the cedar smoke smell. They smoke the glass prior to pouring the drink. Interestingly, the cedar smoke is in the aroma and not a hint is in the beverage. I like smoky aromas and this a an extra sensory treat. We also shared their Cranberry White Cheddar salad, see my pic. Everything was as fresh as it looked. The dried cranberries, green apple slices and crunchy pecans had a super counterbalance of textures with the lettuce and white cheddar cheese. Such great food! The mussels app was a real standout to me. I'd say the best I've ever had, thanks to the whiskey cream broth with bacon. The birria short rib tacos were also smashing. The sea bass was cooked and flavored to perfection (although the rest of the plate was lackluster). My wife got the sea bass and that's decent tasting, whoever cooked that fish seasoned it well. I ordered the cast iron ribeye, they must have not had a cast iron skillet because the sear on the ribeye was pretty weak. I expected a nice deep, rich butter basted sear, but really let's just start with seasoning the steak and veggies! No flavor, compound butter was clumped on top...the mushroom risotto tasted like heavy cream and rice...it was so disappointing. There was no effort or pride put into this plate. The fried deviled eggs were ordered, but no one really talked about them after that. Overall a sad food night for my first experience here. Best part about the night was our server! Went here for dinner and it was very good. We had the Fish Tacos and the Potato Gnocchi, both were excellent and decent portions. We also took home the Flourless Chocolate Cake and Bourbon Bread Pudding. I would have to give the bread pudding a 2 out of 10 score. Being from the south I know my bread pudding and this was very bland, texture tells me it's a mix from a box, and the sauce was just about non-existent. I would skip the bread pudding and save your money instead of being disappointed. We stopped by 1909 today for lunch and I enjoyed my food. We were seated quickly and the service and food were good. We were seated outside on the patio which even on a warm day was comfortable, due to them having fans and misting machines outside. I ordered the veggie wonton rolls for an appetizer and the chicken Sammie sandwich with honey garlic fries. My friends ordered the cilantro lime fish tacos and the sesame miso salad. While the food and drinks remained outstanding, our service was atrocious. We watched 3 bartenders standing around engaging in long conversations as we waited 30 minutes for our drinks, and not once did our waitress press them to hustle up. We finally got our drinks and food, but after that, we were only acknowledged one time by a different server. I had to flag him down to pay the check.
