Well, here's a toast to Toast!! Me and two friends came here because we were looking for a good brunch spot when passing thru Temecula. We came here because of the good reviews on Yelp, so I thought I would add my own to the menagerie! They were able to seat us on a Friday morning right away and I believe this is because they also have a lovely heated, outdoor seating area. We were very comfortable and happy to enjoy the ambiance outside. I had to try their rose matcha and I was so very pleased with both the presentation and taste. It looked and tasted special, especially with the dried rose garnish. Another unique menu item was the Reuben Benedict. Corned beef is a very big favorite of mine, as is hollandaise sauce and a poached egg. All of it came together beautifully and really deliciously too. The choice of cheese was a very good accompaniment. I got the Parmesan potatoes and they were really tasty too, I did add my own salt, but that was fine because all the other tastes and textures were on point! A special breakfast that was worth a couple extra dollars! For me it's either diner food for breakfast or a special brunch and this fell into the special brunch category and they did a wonderful job. Been coming to this place (Temecula location) for years now. And every time I always order the same thing: Lox n' Loaded and Rose Vanilla Matcha (in oatmilk). This time I added the Chicken Fried Chicken which I'm not a big fan of. The gravy on top masks the blandness of the meat but that's the whole point I guess. Place is always crowded but they have enough servers to cater to your needs. Even then, for some reason, they always forget my drink. Will come back for a lox fix (best I've ever had)! read more

Went here last weekend to celebrate my friend's birthday with a group of 8 (plus a toddler!) the day before Mother's Day, so we already expected a wait. We called ahead and were quoted about an hour, but ended up waiting closer to 2 hours after checking in. Honestly though, with the holiday weekend and our big group, we understood. While waiting outside, they had Jenga and Connect 4 set up, which was a nice touch and definitely helped pass the time. The restaurant itself had a lively brunch atmosphere and was clearly packed all morning. Once we got seated, our server Ryan took care of us right away. She got our drinks and food orders in quickly, and honestly the turnaround time for everything was surprisingly fast considering how busy it was. Ryan was super fun, attentive, and really matched the energy of our group. She even brought out a little birthday treat for my friend, which was sweet! My friend and I both ordered the "life size" mimosas -- which isn't shocking because of the glass size, but because it's basically a whole bottle of champagne LOL. Huge shoutout to Ryan for recommending the freshly squeezed orange juice because it balanced everything perfectly and wasn't overly sweet at all. I ordered the Mind Your Own Biscuits & Gravy. First time ever coming to this location since the Murrieta one near me is still closed. The hostess was friendly and we were greeted and seated quickly, opted for the patio seating and the hostess turned on the heater for us since it was still cool in the AM. I ordered an iced toasted coconut latte (unfortunately, not as good as the Murrieta location, it was very watered down) and then the Aloha Bowl which I don't ever remember seeing these bowls on the menu and it seemed to be a twist on a Loco Moco. We have a hard time finding Portuguese sausage, so I was very excited except the rice was undercooked (hard and crunchy) and while I was not asked how I wanted my burger cooked, I am okay with medium rare, but my patty was borderline raw. I thought I wouldn't like the pineapple mixed in with the gravy, but the pieces were so tiny, it was almost non existent. The service was decent, although our waitress only checked in on us once during our whole visit until it was time to drop off the check. My experience at Toast was a great one. I made a last-minute reservation for a large party, and the hostess worked with me to secure a reservation close to the time we originally wanted and get us seated in a timely manner. They did seat us separately, which wasn't what we would have preferred; however, we understand that the reservation was made last minute and we were also on a time crunch, so getting seated quickly was a priority. I know it's not easy accommodating a large group, especially on a busy day, and given our time constraints, I was initially nervous about whether we would be seated and served on time. However, the staff was organized, patient, and friendly throughout, and everything ran smoothly. Despite how busy it was, we received our food promptly, and everything came out well-presented and delicious. The chilaquiles were especially flavorful, and the egg omelet and potatoes were also excellent. Our group also ordered the Korean ribs, which were very tasty, and the French toast as well! For drinks, our group wasn't a big fan of the iced coffee, and the mimosa flights were a bit too sweet for my personal preference. I only really enjoyed two out of the four options. That said, they were beautifully presented and very photogenic. One thing we really appreciated was that they accommodated separate checks for such a large group, which made paying much more convenient. The space offers both indoor and outdoor seating. It is on the smaller side, but they still managed to accommodate our group comfortably. Overall, it was a really positive experience, and I'd definitely consider returning. read more

While in town, I wanted to try this spot for brunch with family and compare to the location or version of it that we have in NY. It didn't disappoint. The menu wasn't overwhelming but had more than enough choices. I probably had the best shrimp and grits in my life so far here. It's a must have if you like shrimp and grits. I've been wanting to try this place for a few months now and we were finally able to make it in today. No wait time which was great of course even though they were steadily busy. I bet this place gets insanely busy on the weekends, but it looks like there is the option to join via the Yelp waitlist & I love that. Inside is cute, I really like the booths and their design. There is a one stall restroom for everyone to use, but it was kept pretty tidy so that was great to see. Our food was pretty good, I love corned beef so the Reuben Benedict was perfect, one of us got hash browns and the other go the pecorino potatoes. The pecorino potatoes were good, I think they needed salt in my opinion and they would have been perfect. The portion size was pretty big. I am a big eater and I struggled to finish my food. The crème brûlée french toast was good too. I wasn't a huge fan of the custard in the middle though, there was a lot of it and it was just a bit thick in my opinion. Arrived around 10:30 am and it was very crowded, but we had our reservation so we only waited 10 minutes. They have indoor and fully covered outdoor seating. Nice shaded benches for these waiting. Parking wasn't hard to find. A lot of families and people with celebrations making this place an energetic atmosphere. The food and drinks were very delicious. This was my first time at this restaurant. I decided to try out the cinnamon maple toast latte, and it was good but not something I would get again. I also got the crabcake Benedict, which I just don't think that was a good pick for me because the crabcake was very mushy. My boyfriend got the toast burger and he seemed to like it a lot. There was just a lot of onions so he removed them off. I would like to try some other things on the menu, but overall the ambience was very nice sitting outside. This place is delicious. Highly recommend. I had looked at an old review which mentioned a corned beef Benedict which I was disappointed not to see on the menu. They had a Rueben one but wasn't what I was craving. So I decided on the corned beef skillet and asked for a side of classic hollandaise. Let me tell you, this was EVERYTHING. By the time my husband was home with the food, the pecorino potatoes weren't crispy but that's what you risk with take out. I can't wait to eat at the restaurant and experience it fresh. My husband loved his bacon Benedict too. Pro tip, if you order online go to the actual ordering menu to see what they have. It's more expansive than the menu they have linked on their website. I wanted to remove a star because I was hoping to be able to place an order over the phone and no one ever answered. What a pleasant breakfast surprise! After an early morning hike, we decided to go get breakfast and found this cute spot near where our hike had been. The decoration and hand-drawn art along the walls was adorable and the interior was dimly lit and very cozy. Our server was incredibly friendly and accommodating and made sure we got our food quickly with a smile on her face (she was great!) Found this on Yelp looking for a brunch place and we left very satiated! This nice place off the Temecula parkway is inside a plaza area with its own free parking. We were greeted with a friendly host and sat inside, though there is a patio to the side as well if you want to sit outside. This is a modern brunch spot fit with "quirky" brunch-isms to make you smile or laugh. The menu align with this atmosphere. They have a bunch of coffees or drinks to highlight the season and to bring a fun vibe. It seems like all coffees come with a biscotti too. The seasonal mimosa we had came with a lot of apple and cranberry flavors and each were great! For food, we got the veggie and Reuben Benedicts. They were good but the highlight were the pecorino potatoes... so delicious! One note to make here, the eggs were "inconsistent". The veggie Benedict had nice runny yolks but the reuben one were hard boiled. Service was okay. Our first server was new but he took about 30 minutes just to take our food order. But other than that and our other servers were friendly and the food came out pretty quickly as well. I really wanted to love this place. I was told it is owned by the folks from 1909 which is scrumptious and one of our family favorites. Toast is different. We had Sunday Brunch. Pricing is par for the course in Temecula. The restaurant was crowded and very loud. Servers did a phenomenal job speaking up without screaming. Food came out quickly and warmish. Again. Toast gets 10000 stars for stellar customer service. The food. I ordered plain pancakes with no added powdered sugar which is a standard. Three large, thick, dry pancakes with butter and syrup served in tiny metal condiment cups. The ratio of condiments to pancakes was disappointing so much so that when the butter and syrup was applied? The pancakes basically sucked up the liquids creating damp, flavorless pancakes. I really wanted to love this place. Mind Your Own Biscuits came with Sausage a family member said they would give away since they do not care for sausage. Except the sausage was baked into the biscuit. Disappointing. Crab Benedict was tasty but the ratio of crab was small compared to the portion and price. I always give a restaurant three honest tries before giving a final opinion. I hope our next time measures up to our standards. The staff here really knows how to handle every situation and with grace. Everything else here was just not well prepared. My French toast was overly sugary and was soggy, my dad's crab cake Benedict was pretty small and for the price, could've been a bit more. My mom got very dry and bland pancakes. We were greeted immediately by the hostess and our server once we sat down. I ordered a cup of coffee and loved the presentation. Usually coffee just comes in a cup with everything else (sugar/ cream) sitting on the table. At Toast, it was served on a plate with a biscuit, creamer, and sugar in a little jar. It was simple but cute. For food, we both got the Eggs Your Way. Mine was with sausage, his with bacon, and toast. Food was okay. They only have berry jelly because it's made in house but it was bland. Also, surprisingly, the potatoes had no seasoning so we added pepper and it was a little better. Sausage was ok but it was a little too oily and the taste was off. I couldn't eat anymore after two bites. Overall, service was good but the food was mediocre. The French toast was a little sweeter than I prefer, but still very enjoyable. I added eggs and bacon on the side, which made for a perfect balance. The restaurant itself is super cute and cozy.
