Krystal was our server. She was really nice and gave us great service. The food was good and plentiful. Wish the fruit was in a bowl bs next to my eggs but that is my preference. It wasn't busy when we got to the restaurant which was perfect; however, it filled up quickly. The restaurant was decorated in nostalgic motif. The bakery looked crazy good.

Always the best food at reasonable prices for today's economy. Whether that's breakfast or lunch, it's delish.

Penfold's Cafe is one of the best breakfast spots that I've ever been to. I'm definitely coming back when I'm in the area! We ordered the omelette and french toast combo and everything was delicious. Even the sourdough toast itself was yummy! I love the vintage decor vibe it has going on and the ambiance feels very cozy inside. It was a bit busy on the weekend, but our server was very nice. Also, there is a pretty good selection of Jellycats and toys! It was fun to see what kind of goodies they had to offer. There's a parking lot outside and it's not difficult to find parking which is always a plus.

We were looking for a good hearty meal before going wine tasting and came across Penfolds. From the moment we walked in, the place had a fun and welcoming atmosphere. They had all kinds of items for sale like stuffed animals, candy, shirts, and other gifts, plus fresh homemade pastries available to grab to-go. We were seated quickly and our waitress was prompt and attentive. They had a nice variety of both breakfast and lunch items to choose from, so there was something for everyone. The restaurant itself is bright, spacious, and has plenty of seating. I also loved the carousel horse on display. It gave the place a unique charm. The food tasted good and the portions were solid. Overall, a really nice stop if you're in the area and looking for a satisfying meal before a day of wine tasting.

First time at PC. Came in with a big group. They sat us quickly. All the food was good. The steak and eggs was great. The dishes was well portion. The pancakes were soft and fluffy. Overall a pleasant Experience. I will come back again.

What a great little spot with good food. Service is fantastic and prices are right. There's a little bakery display case as you walk in. My goodness!! I have never seen such giant cinnamon rolls and rice krispy bars! Didn't eat one but they look delicious. Then I saw the largest most delicious looking biscuits and gravy. I split a machaca and eggs plate and my other friend had a burrito. Plenty of food, even with splitting it. Will definitely be back!

Wednesday, Aug 6, 2025: My brother was visiting from San Diego and invited us (Hubby, me, daughter, & grandson) to eat here. It had been years since I was here. Back in the day my daughter was a waitress & hostess. They used to be open for dinner, which we truly miss! They are now only open for breakfast & lunch. Our server, Nancy, provided warm, friendly, and attentive service. My daughter knew Nancy from before and she is a very sweet lady! We all enjoyed our food. I had the turkey sandwich, which was good and filling. I forgot to take photos of everybody's food. Prices were reasonable for good portions. It's still so quaint and the food is still very good! We need to return more often!

This place needs no introduction, a local staple in the community that serves amazing breakfast and lunch! The cinnamon roll is the size of my outstretched hand! We got one to go, most people paying their bill did the same. We both got omelets with fresh fruit and a biscuit and gravy. All delicious and so much food we took 1/2 home. Savannah was awesome, she took great care of us and the people around us. We plan on driving the 45 minutes north regularly to enjoy this place again and again. 10/10 recommend with great food and fair pricing

It's ginormous, we couldn't finish it!!

We heard rumors of a gigantic cinnamon roll at Penfolds Cafe, so naturally we had to confirm if the rumor was true. Despite the Saturday morning chaos, we were seated instantly. Winning!! We immediately kicked things off w the giant cinnamon roll as an appetizer bc what better way to stimulate & ruin our appetites than to eat sweets before our actual meal!?!? This thing was the size of a toddler's head and absolutely drenched in melty, buttery goodness!! One cut and it oozed like a magical waterfall. We were basically in a frosting trance!!!! Then came the "real" food I got the Machaca plate, Hubby got the NY Steak & Eggs. And whew...that steak was thick!!! Major kudos to our server Skyler.... super friendly, funny, and made us feel welcomed and treated us like cinnamon roll royalty. Prices are totally reasonable. Food was fire and portion sizes were huge!! We were beyond happy!!! Will we be back to conquer more of the menu and of course, another giant cinnamon roll encounter!!! Or maybe the giant French toast, that looked good too!!

Great little diner near Temecula hotels filled with tchotchkes and knick-knacks. I was in town for a friend's wedding and stopped here for breakfast, so it did the job of curing a hangover. I was feeling a Benedict, so I had to have the Crabby Benedict with a side of hash browns. Warm and delicious! This place seems to be a staple of Temecula, so definitely worth a visit if you're in the area, especially for brunching.

Biscuits and Gravy (it was like 3 biscuits) HUGE!

We stumbled upon this place and really happy we did. Such a fun, quirky diner, filled with memorabilia. It's hard to take pics inside as it's filled with patrons and I wanted to respect their privacy, but trust me, there's so much to stare at inside, We were greeted by friendly staff upon entering. We were quoted a 20-30 minute wait for a table inside as it was 106 degrees outside, but there's misters outside if you can brave the heat. Nonetheless; we were sat in 15 minutes so not long at all, Our server was super friendly and apologized a few times bc the food was taking long to come out. The giant cinnamon roll caught my eye so you know I had to get it. It was HUGE, ooey gooey delicious and only $9. The Penfold omelette was really good, extra cheesy so if you like cheese, get it. I would ask for the gravy on the side so you can add as you go. I would've liked more bacon, but it definitely had a ton of sausage. The hashbrowns were cooked perfectly. Biscuits and gravy were HUGE! Hubby's California breakfast burrito was delicious , topped with a red enchilada sauce, cheese, avocado and sour cream. All of the food was flavorful, huge portions and delicious. I'd definitely come back for the cinnamon roll.

A rare site from our experience. We did get here 5 minutes after opening.

The food is delicious. The service top shelf. The ambiance nostalgic. Can get busy. They close early. Wish they were open for dinner. You know close at 2 and reopen around 5 close by 9. Even if just Thursday through Saturday. That'd be amazing!

Cinnamon roll to share, it's super big

My family sometimes meets here for late breakfast as it's sort of halfway between where they live and San Diego. The location is super close to the freeway, making it simple to access. There's a good amount of parking in the lot, especially if you're willing to walk a little farther from restaurant. The restaurant itself is clean and has ample seating. I was tempted to buy one of the rubber chickens they sell in the lobby, maybe next time. The menu is pretty large, seems like a lot of choices for even the picky eaters in your party. They have every kind of breakfast option covered, and a wide selection of lunch dishes too. The omelettes are great, plus you get a choice of potato options and a bread item. I haven't finished anything here, the servings are large, but you can take home leftovers for the next day. They also have the largest selection of juices I've ever encountered in a restaurant. The service is good, everyone has been friendly and helpful with recommendations. We have a couple picky eaters who love the food here, so it's definitely kid friendly.

We met up with a buddy from Riverside here as a halfway point, and it turned out to be an amazing spot. Situated right on the scenic Temecula Duck Pond, the restaurant offers an open brewery vibe, a spacious outdoor beer garden, and plenty of room for kids and adults to relax. The Food Breakdown OBC Breadsticks (4-Pack): Delicious and fresh. They come with two dippers--stick to the classic plain garlic butter sauce for the best bite. Lost Traveler's Noodles: Really good. We added the extra shrimp--it pairs amazingly well with the flavorful, slow-roasted pork. OBC Tri-Tip Plate: Cooked to absolute perfection--came out exactly how we like it (medium-rare). Shrimp Tacos: Our friend ordered these when he arrived and completely devoured them. Our server, Amy, was attentive, friendly, and made our visit seamless. Tips: Bring the Whole Family (Dogs Included!): The outdoor patio is extremely kid-friendly and pet-friendly--they even have a "Dog Patty" on the menu for four-legged guests. Come with a Group: The portions are generous. Bringing a bigger group allows you to order more small plates and pizzas to share across the table. Have you been to Oscar's Brewing Company yet? What's your absolute favorite dish on their menu? Let's talk food.

From the TVs and chairs to the overall layout, everything feels thoughtfully put together and the design really comes full circle. And as a military mom, I especially loved the huge American flag. It's stunning and gives the place such a great presence. The bar looked fantastic too. Unfortunately, the food was a major missed opportunity. I had high hopes for the ribeye, but it was thin and nothing particularly special. Honestly, I could've gotten something comparable at Sizzler for half the price. My burger was edible, but the bun tasted cheap, which was disappointing for the price point. And the fries... They were cold, stale, tasted frozen, and honestly seemed like they had been sitting around since yesterday. That's what makes this so frustrating--the restaurant itself has SO much potential. The atmosphere is gorgeous, the location is great, and Temecula desperately needs more places with this kind of vibe. But when the food doesn't match the effort put into the space, it really feels like a missed opportunity. If you're coming from drinks alone - maybe a spot to catch

We arrived with 15-20 folks. The air conditioned indoors was a welcoming environment! What I like is that you order at the counter so that the issue of splitting checks is not there. When we ordered you saw a sign that said this isn't fast food your food is made to order to warn us don't expect your food right away. I was slightly worried because we had a second game in 2 and a half hours but I knew it would be okay. We ordered and sat inside. The staff was kind enough to let us move tables around. Then I'd say within 10 minutes our food orders started coming out. The orders then continued to come out at a very steady pace! We were shocked. Then we were shocked at how DELICIOUS the food was. One by one like a chorus of glee, each person commented on how much they enjoyed their food. The menu was so vast that no one had the same order in the adults and each person loved their food. There was only one hiccup. One of the parents order a canned drink but didn't notice that it was alcoholic. This was in no way the fault of the restaurant as it was obviously beer. The parent didn't complain he just opened it and left it. The waitress who was bussing our area asked him was something wrong if he didn't like it and the dad said, I didn't realize it was alcohol. The waitress walks over with the POS machine asked him is order number found the drink and refunded it to the dads card. She did this completely unprompted and strictly because she felt it was the right thing to do. THAT is how you provide excellent service! Thank you The Local Provisions for your gracious hospitality! Even the presentation looked like it spawned from a hospital cafeteria. Tbh, it looked liked mashed potatoes with a side of broccoli. The only ok thing was the tortilla. You cant mess that up. Its probably bought. I want to try other foods here next time. Maybe that will do it more justice. Maybe fries or something? Something safe and not hard to mess up. On Saturday we wandered into TCI for dinner and started with the heirloom tomato and burrata with crostini. It was so fresh and delicious that I briefly considered writing the tomatoes a thank-you note. Next came the Harvest Valley Salad, which somehow managed to make me genuinely excited about lettuce--an achievement that deserves recognition from the culinary Olympics. For our entrée we ordered the Wagyu Steak Frites with chimichurri. The steak was cooked so perfectly it should probably be framed instead of sliced. Every bite was fantastic. We finished with the ube panna cotta, which was elegant, silky, and the kind of dessert that makes you promise you'll "just have one bite" before accidentally eating half of it. Nathan took wonderful care of us all evening. He was warm, friendly, attentive, and struck that perfect balance between making us feel welcome and giving us time to enjoy the gorgeous patio. Watching the sunset with live music in the background and that spectacular view? It was one of those evenings that quietly reminds you why people go out to eat in the first place. Apparently we enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back the very just two days for lunch. (Scientific research requires repeat testing.) We started with the hummus, which arrived looking like it belonged in an art gallery. Fortunately, it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Then came the chile relleno, which was absolutely outstanding. If this dish ever goes missing, I'd recommend checking my refrigerator first. Faith was wonderfully friendly and outgoing, and our food expeditor, David, was so genuinely warm and personable that by the time he left the table, it felt like we'd known him for years. Restaurants can teach hospitality, but that kind of kindness is simply who some people are. My only tiny suggestion: please turn on the patio misters during these triple-digit California afternoons. The food was keeping us warm emotionally; the weather was handling the rest. And on the way out we let Christine know the carpets at the entrances needed a vacuum. Fantastic food, exceptional service, beautiful views, and an atmosphere that keeps drawing us back. Cork Fire Kitchen has once again reminded us why it's one of our favorite places to dine. Bravo to the entire team!
