I was not expecting much of this drink but WOW was it beautifully crafted and absolutely delicious. Even though it was a mimosa, it tasted more like mexican watermelon candy. The drink was my favorite part of our visit. For food, I ordered the fried chicken eggs benedict. It was just OK. The hollandaise sauce could have used a bit more flavor, and same for the chicken. But the absolute worst part of the meal was the country potatoes (they were bland beyond repair). My husband ordered the french toast and that tasted WAY better than my meal (definitely had ordering regrets). Overall, great atmosphere and drinks. During our visit around Downtown Temecula, we stopped by 1909 on a whim! They seated us very, very quickly on a late Tuesday night. We were given the menus and we immediately knew what we wanted to order. We had a round of drinks and I immediately ordered their mussels. Their mussels were very, very addicting! It's located in the middle of Old Town and it's always poppin! Luckily the time's I've been, the wait hasn't been too long. There plenty of indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. The servers are always sweet and quick. They have a variety on their menu. Their 1909 burger was so delicious. I'm usually not a burger girl but it was stacked with fresh ingredients. I absolutely LOVE this spot! I go here every time I am anywhere near Temecula and will continue to go back! There is street parking, or you can park in a large lot behind the restaurant. The ambiance is hip and open, with very clean bathrooms. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating with a very large covered patio out front. It's located in old town Temecula and is such a hidden gem! I ordered many delicious drinks, but loved allll of the frozen cocktails (as it was incredibly hot!) Service was great, and always is. Came here with a friend for brunch, the servers were friendly and attentive and we were seated right away. They were happy to accommodate us with an outside table and highchair for my son. Our server was training a couple of people so we had a few different people checking in on us (btw both trainees did amazing, they were so friendly and already great with recommendations on menu items.) I inquired about an iced coffee and they didn't have anything besides regular hot coffee, which seems a little odd when you're open for "brunch" everyday. The bacon garnish seemed a little stale but I figured that was because it had probably been prepped ahead of time for the bar, but the other nibbles were yummy. My friend ordered the Fried Chicken Benedict and I ordered the Caprese Benedict. Both had huge portions and looked absolutely beautiful, my friend said hers was absolutely delicious. The Caprese Benedict did not come with any bread/English muffin, which I knew ahead of time, and while it was delicious I needed something to soak up some of the hollandaise/egg yoke! Great as a lower carb option if you subbed out the potatoes, but there was definitely a lot of sauce left on the plate with nothing to eat it with. I ordered a kids egg and bacon meal which also came with potatoes. The bacon was in kind of the same state as the piece that came with my Bloody Mary, so that was a little disappointing because bacon should always be yummy, but my kiddo loved the eggs and potatoes. They had quite a few different options for kids and they are reasonably priced (mostly $10 or under) which is appreciated. We will absolutely be back again to try for lunch! This place pops off with a lot of customers, but they are very professional with how they handle reservations and walk-in's. Super dialed in. Their menu sits in the perfect balance of casual and upscale and the pricing is fair for the quality and experience. This is my go to place in old town for the most part but the last two times I've had a pretty bad experience. This time was after a run and it was still early in the day. They sat us in the back when the restaurant was pretty open. Then they served all the other tables before us and were suprised and unapologetic when we said something. The food was okay. Because the service was so slow we only ordered our entrees and juice and when I ordered a refill it took so long I considered passing on it. It's too bad because for a $30 breakfast I am expecting service and a good time. Especially at 1909. This could easily of become a $100 per a person meal (as we were celebrating) but no one was serving us (even an app took 20 mins) so we ended up leaving and going to baileys.
