Such an awesome place, location, and food. We stumbled upon Local Provisions on accident. Intending to try a different restaurant. In Temecula for a soccer and 4 hours in between games, I wanted a sit down restaurant where we could spend some time. Where we were going to go had a 20 minute wait. That was too long for me. There were open seats at this other place across the courtyard. Sooooo glad we went elsewhere. To make this long story short, everyone ordered burgers and for some weird reason, I ordered a salad. The Baked apple salad with added blackened salmon was the best salad I've ever had. I was also told by everyone else I was with that the burgers were awesome. Casual little gastropub in a cute little complex. There's always a game on, and the food and drinks are always good. Kids loved the Soft Pretzel. The Gumbo is nice and thick, though a little heavy on the salt. Sandwiches are always good choices. The Classic Reuben has plenty of pastrami, and I love the Cuban Sandwich with tender pork in a pita. Their stuff is simple, but they know their stuff. The classics are impeccably done, and they throw in their own twist to make it all taste good. read more

No real service here since you walk up to the counter, order, get a number, and they bring out your food. We ordered cuban sandwich, carne asada fries, and the Blue burger. Everything here was pretty good. The garlic fries came with fresh garlic. The cuban sandwich had tons of flavors. The fried potato chips seemed like they just opened a bag of chips and tossed it on lol but still good. The burger was juicy and I loved the jam on it. It complimented the bleu cheese very well. I was so surprised the carne asada fries were actually good as well. It did need some more guac though. When I went to ask, they said it's not actual guac and just smashed avocados. They charged me $2.50 for a tiny container when they could've just gave it to me or either give me a bigger serving for $2.50! read more

I came here and read the reviews in their Lobster tacos - so I got excited to try them. Unfortunately the Lobster tacos dry lacked meat and flavor. Very underwhelming and disappointing. The beer was good. Service was good too, just spent a lot in those lobster tacos and was not pleased with the outcome. So maybe will be back for a beer and to chill and talk with friends. read more

Local Provisions has an easy, welcoming, slightly country bar feel to it. Sort of back woods-ish, minus the bugs and humidity. LOL Local has lots of beer, both in the Frig and on Tap. Tasty and generously made sandwiches. And since we were here at noon on a Sunday, couple of large TVs tuned to the NFL game of the moment. What's not to like. Four thumbs up from us. read more

This is a cute small place with a few tables inside. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Today I grabbed something togo since I have a busy day. The loaded burrito was delicious, just enough heat from the charred jalapeño. My grandson stole my cheesecake again, it's so good! The Local has been a part of Vail Headquarters in Temecula for awhile now. They serve up light bites and gastropub food. You walk right in and order at the counter and they bring the food to your picnic table. The staff is friendly and they are dog friendly with bowls of fresh water on the porch. I took my baby girl to get some annual vaccines for her boarding. My pup and I shared a pretzel, the sauces were all mine. Vail HQ has several choices to eat, but The Local was open on a Monday when the food court area was closed. We found The Local Provisions while visiting Temecula for the wildflower season and it was the best lunch surprise of the trip. The pork and carne asada tacos were outstanding -- fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The Vail Ranch setting is charming, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and it has exactly the kind of relaxed local vibe that's hard to find. This place deserves way more attention than it gets. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant. The whole area around it and outside of it is super cute. Has a cowboy western feel to it. The inside is super casual. You pay at the front, take the number and sit and they bring the food out to you. The one thing l wish they'd change is to have sodas that aren't by the can. They do have a cooler of water and cups near the entrance so that's helpful when your soda runs out and you may not wanna purchase another. My husband said his food was amazing. I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was tasty. It did have a huge piece of gristle which was unfortunate. But comes with the territory of pork. Just a bummer with how big it was and it happened to be my first or second bite of the sandwich. The flatbread we ordered for one of our kids was really tasty. But eat it while hot because as soon as it cools, it's not as tasty. My daughter had the $8 pbj sandwich. Their bread for it may be used for their grilled cheese but it should be switched out. The bread is really thick and they have to add soooo much pbj to make the ratio right. It was dripping out of the sandwich and was an utter mess. If they used a thinner bread it would be better and maybe the bread wouldn't be as dry. Also, $8 for a pbj sandwich for kids is kind of absurd. I'm sorry but even if it was better tasting, it still shouldn't be $8. Once we added a side to it, it was well over $11. I just didn't feel the value was there for the money. Overall, it's a cute casual eatery. I probably wouldn't come back but only because I would prefer to try other eateries. read more

Was looking for some good sandwiches on our way home to San Diego from Palm Springs and found this place! My husband and I both wanted the salmon BLTA but they were out. The staff member taking orders recommended to me the smoked turkey BLTA so I got that while my husband got the Cuban sandwich. I got garlic fries with mine and he got the potato salad. Food came out pretty quick and it was SO delicious! My husband inhaled his Cuban. There was so much meat and flavor in both our sandwiches and we were raving and glad we stopped here and can't wait to come back for more! The garlic fries and potato salad were amazing as well. Rustic is a great word for the place, just awesomely set up. Front porch dining with picnic tables out back. Small dining room was just right for us. Staff was smiling and awesome! Counter ordering here which suits me just fine. It was busy so it took a couple minutes for our food but well worth the wait. I just love the fact you know your stuff is fresh made. I love that you can literally grab and go. With kids, this is so key. And it helps that the food is GOOD. The hubs got the fish tacos and I ordered the asada ones - naturally we traded one so we could have the perfect mixed plate. There are a couple benches outside which worked well since the kids could expend extra energy while we waited. Normally the area where the benches are is pretty open, but since we were there on a Friday, they had vendors with booths scattered throughout. We actually didn't mind since it provided extra entertainment for the kids - and between bites of my delicious tacos, I took turns with my hubs being pulled different directions (luckily tacos travel well). Overall this place was great. The pricing is fair, and the change of scenery is a much welcomed option. The fact we didn't have to stay put in one place was great, and the food came out pretty quick. Oh, and there is a kids menu! Although, most of the food was eaten AFTER we got home with the complaint that we didn't provide them dinner. Ah boy. read more

Kinda disappointed from the last two times I ordered in the last month. I used to love this place but the last few times it's been a bit disappointing. The Cuban recently came with some soggy pita or flat bread instead of a nicer sandwich bread. I ended up sliding it off on my store bought sourdough bread cuz the inside was still good. The pbj burger was excellent but the lobster and mahi tacos have gone downhill. In fact we threw the lobster tacos out. Came on a Monday night and it wasn't too busy, so that's always a plus. The server was really nice and she was overall just really pleasant which I enjoy. I don't like fake bubbly or completely disinterested, just real. The drink fridge is pretty cool and a good amount of selections as well. The food took a hot minute to come out but that's just because they make it fresh, which we had no issues with. We finally got around to checking out The Local Provisions on a recent Friday night, and am so glad we did! This great place is located in awesome Vail Headquarters where there's always something going on - this evening was "May Market" night with lots of local vendors, food and kids activities, including the cute little Vail HQ train. While there is some indoor seating, it was a beautiful night so we placed our orders and grabbed a table outside. Hubby enjoyed a Pliny the Elder IPA and I had a NZ Sauv Blanc while we waited. I appreciated the extensive menu with something for everyone (including the little ones) - salads, tacos, sandwiches...but we were there for the burgers after hearing such rave reviews. We both opted for their signature Local Provisions burger with garlic fries and omg, they totally lived up to the hype! Huge burger and so incredibly tasty! My husband and I came out to Temecula to spend our anniversary. We typically have gone to Santa Barbara, Los Olivos, Paso Robles, or Napa to celebrate big celebrations. I wanted to cross Temecula off our list. I will say most of Temecula has been extremely disappointing. However, this restaurant was amazing!!!!! We ordered the pretzel, patty melt, and the hamburger with blue cheese. The pretzel was so soft and had the perfect amount of salt and was served with a yummy cheese sauce and mustard. The blue cheese hamburger is something that I will dream about. It was perfectly balanced with a jalapeño jam of some sort that provided sweet heat that went with the funk of a blue cheese. The patty melt was served on the most perfect crusty sourdough bread. The ambience itself is extremely welcoming, and we had the best service brought to you by Alicia. They had a nice beer and wine selection & of the places that we found were actually extremely dog friendly. Alicia provided a lot of recommendations for future trips and insider tips, but her hospitality is one of the reasons why we would go back to the local provisions!!! Shoot even Temecula! read more
