They have weekend themes as well that both staff and guests can participate in. There was no wait when we arrived and even for larger parties, the wait didn't seem long. My friend made a reservation at this restaurant for dinner. Upon entering the eatery in Temecula's Old Town, it was bustling inside. The food exceeded our expectations. We ordered cilantro lime tacos, biryani tacos, shrimp and potato risotto, fried cauliflower, and caramel pudding for dessert. The potato risotto was the standout dish. The Biryani tacos were delicious when dipped in the accompanying sauces. The caramel pudding was also worth trying--its creamy texture was perfect, the top was toasted just right, and every bite offered a satisfying crunch. I give this restaurant a 4 out of 5 because we had hoped to try the rustic-style chicken, but the restaurant informed us they had run out of chicken breasts. This is puzzling for such a popular dining destination. Even though the bar was busy, he made us feel at home. In addition to the well crafted drinks we ordered off the menu, he made us a bar-only cocktail called the orange creamsicle tease. Monday, August 2, 2024: I met up with a dear friend, who was a former coworker and retired Air Force Chief, whom I served with at March ARB. She was the one responsible for helping me get the job in contracting. We were seated out on the patio. Although it was hot outdoors the ceiling fans & misters made it a bit more comfortable. Our very friendly & attentive server Ricardo got our drink orders and I ordered an appetizer, the veggie wonton rolls. It was very good and the sauce was quite savory & complimentary. We both ordered the same breakfast meal, Eggs Your Way except she opted for over easy eggs with nothing runny and I had scrambled eggs and we both had Applewood bacon. The portions were generous and I was so stupid to forget my to-go box ! Ricardo was wonderful with a great personality and reassuring smile. He looked after us pretty well. My friend asked if they offered a military discount since Temecula has many active duty & veterans, who live in the city since Camp Pendleton $ March ARB are close by. Ricardo replied "no" so my friend wanted to know why so he had the manager come over to answer the question. He was very nice & explained that they offer the discount on Veterans Day only. This place has really fallen off. After waiting 30+ minutes for a table, it's hard to walk away, even though it was disappointing almost from the moment we were seated. I do think our server was trying her best, but a few things were hurting her. She let us know 3 servers called out, which is why everything took so long. Somehow their water was down when we got there and they were told to charge us if we wanted water since only bottled would be available. Pretty sure that's not allowed, but we eventually got some waters at least. The food was just NOT what it used to be. Shrimp and chorizo starter was way more fishy tasting than in the past. Used to be more creamy and comfort style food. The toast that came with it had some barely toasted and others burnt as black as night. I got the pastor tacos with a side salad and none of this was satisfying. Lettuce tasted dirty and had hardly any dressing. Tacos were dry and greasy with flavorless pineapple (either from the center of the fruit or left out to dry). Friends smash burger was fine, but didn't have crispy edges like other smash burgers, and flavor was carried by sauce.
