Bacon Mac N Cheese $10.99 Cavatappi Macaroni baked with cheddar cheese topped with bacon crumbles and our house made beer cheese.

We came to the 1916 Pub with family to celebrate a birthday. We chose it because we had heard some good things about it. It is located inside the clubhouse at the Cleveland Heights Golf Course (public). It was clean but very plain inside. The waitress was polite. The bartender had no knowledge of the limited beer selection on draft which made it difficult to order. The kitchen, located on the other side of the clubhouse, was not very efficient at all. One member of our party waited almost 20 minutes for their food after the other four of us had our entrees. The Bacon Mac & Cheese was very good. Good portion size, and very cheesy. The Irish Nachos and the Kobe beef burger were also quite good as well. The Haddock fish & chips was a bit of a mess. Two entrees of fish were ordered, one was the very late served entree previously mentioned. (Note, they come with thin French fries, not the traditional thick UK style chips usually served.) One was served without the coleslaw mentioned on the menu (when we told the waitress, she shrugged and said "Sorry"). The fish was cooked well. So yes, the food is good but the service needs help: no one seemed to be bothered by the late entree and the bartender didn't know what she had on draft or even seemed to be interested. The place wasn't busy, but we did notice that golfers sitting at the bar seemed to have preferred service. I would expect that attitude at a private golf club but not a public one.

This was their medium cheese burger

They have no idea how to cook. People near us had the corned beef dinners. Tired old meat with a 2 inch strip of fat. I decided to go simple with a burger medium and this is what they served. I'm so tired of overpriced food horribly cooked. Music was good though. Nice view of the golf course from the upstairs seating area. Stick with golf the restaurant blows

Food was nice. Had a Shepherd's pie was good. Great Guinness on tap. No atmosphere. That's the reason for one less star.

Good food but the service is terrible. They need a manager that actually comes out and asks how things were. Basic.

I have to say, I loved the ambiance of Gavaghans. I am not entirely an Irish pub kind of girl, but…read morewhen you are in Rome you do what the Romans do, right? And in Sebring, that means you walk into the cool Irish pub on the circle and soak it all in. The interior alone makes it worth the visit. Dark wood, warm lighting, that cozy tucked-away pub feel that makes you forget you are in the middle of Florida. It feels transported. It is one of those places in Sebring that you just have to see because it is so unexpectedly cool inside. Service was great. I was there for a quick in and out, so I sat at the bar and kept it simple with a chicken Caesar salad. Nothing fancy. For the price, it was very fair, and the flavor held up. No complaints. It did exactly what it needed to do, which was give me a solid meal in a comfortable setting without overcomplicating things. Now let's talk about Sebring itself. Sebring is one of those towns in the middle of nowhere Florida where you find yourself thinking, "I wonder what it would be like to live here?" while also scratching your head a little. It reminds me of The Villages before The Villages became The Villages. There is a concept there. It is adorable. It is charming. And most of the time, it is very, very quiet. Personally, I would go stir crazy living there full time. But I can absolutely see the appeal. And to be fair, Sebring is not always sleepy. It comes alive during major events like the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring at Sebring International Raceway, which draws racing fans from all over the world. There is also the Sebring Soda Festival, the Highlands County Fair, and various car shows and seasonal events that suddenly flood the town with energy. During those times, I imagine the entire vibe shifts. If I were to come back, it would be for one of those big events or for some serious antique shopping, because that is where this area quietly shines. Gavaghans fits perfectly into that Sebring personality. Cozy. A little unexpected. Solid. Worth stepping into. Even if you are not an Irish pub person, it is one of those spots that makes you think, okay... I get it.

We sat ourselves at a table nearest a window. The place is dimly lit. We placed our order at the bar. We did not wait long for our meal. We each had the Cesar Salad with Bacon bits and a glass of red wine. The salad was a generous portion, fresh and crisp with just the right amount of housemade dressing. We each ate half of the salad and took the remaining home. The place was quiet with only one other table seated. We were able to converse with each other in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. It was a most pleasant evening. I recommend Gavaghans and plan to return on a weekend when the place might have a more livelier vibe.

Upon entrance it feels like a traditional bar, with a partial wall separating the bar from the restaurant area, which contained ample seating and plenty of TVs for those looking to catch a game. We came in on a quiet Friday night, ordered a couple of drinks at the bar, and chose our own table for our long overdue catchup session. The shepherd's pie quesadilla was a perfectly sized appetizer, served with gravy and sour cream on the side. My date ordered the traditional shepherd's pie and he thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was solid. Our server never disappeared for lengthy periods of time, nor did she show up too often, giving us plenty of time to catch up and converse without interruption. 5/5 Recommend as a local spot for casual drinks and/or dinner.

It was very inviting! You order at the bar, which is think is a traditional Irish Pub way, our bartender was great and made some awesome drinks that absolutely made up for our day! We had two of the featured drinks, one was a watermelon tonic and the other was an old fashioned and they were made perfectly! Wife ordered the fish & chips. Just OK. Fries were not crispy, still a little white. Cole slaw was bland. I ordered the Guiness beef stew. Dish was only warm, not hot. Flavor was good, not great. Not enough to complain to anyone working there. But certainly would not recommend the place for the food. Plenty of places to drink and root for your team, has options for inside and out. Found a quiet enough place inside, but no TV around. Probably why it was quiet. Thanks, but we'll be trying something else next time.
