Great atmosphere, excellent service, great food, and great vibes! If you get the fish and chips, you have to ask for tartar sauce. FYI. Come check it out!

Very pleasant atmosphere. A little noisy if crowded. Dark. The bartender was as sweet as could be and pours a proper pint of Guinness. It was mid-afternoon so our only food was the Scotch egg. It was excellent and came covered in a stone ground mustard aioli that was quite nice. It was a decent snack for two.

Irish pub in Sebring Misses the Irish Spirit by Your correspondent A.J. Labrada On the news of an Irish pub opening up in the Downtown Sebring Circle area was a sigh of relief. Finally an Irish pub, bringing me back to my university days traveling through the Isle as a young writer and filmmaker. So my expectations started high. I first went to visit the pub to check it out. I was impressed the setting looked like an Irish pub, but the place was empty and the staff greeted me as if I was in Orlando, Florida. Something like, "hello, would you like a seat?" Something like that --An every restaurant American experience. At the time, I didn't pay attention because I was just looking around. Some weeks later I decided to get lunch and hear a local Irish group play music. Entering we ordered a cabbage and I believe corn beef appetizer and later we ordered the fish and chips. The food was good a bit overpriced for a "pub". I ordered what every drinking man should order at an Irish pub, a pint of Guinness. It looked like a proper Guinness with the proper required foam but like the pub it missed something, tasted like the can version. I didn't see them take it from the tab, but was told they did, however, I witnessed a bar tender pouring one from a can for another customer. Then the music played. A local group, like the pub, had no personality no soul. They played good but no interaction with the half dozen or so less of us in attendance. That was how the whole place felt --it looked like an Irish pub but it didn't feel like one. It lacked the joy, the conversation with staff the cheer, the comradery. It wasn't friendly, in a sincere way. It felt like, take your order and go. My experience in Ireland was glorious. I never forgot it and plan on going back one day. As an honorary Irishman (a story to be told). The owners of this pub need to remember Ireland --the culture and not just by name but by spirit! Hope they work it out.

You order food at the bar. Very typical pub food-scotch egg, Guinness stew, fish n chips etc.... Our waitress delivered our food in a timely manner. Looked like a pub but way too dark for me. It's a little crowded as the tables are practically right on top of each other. Got to see the HGTV updated Sebring circle.

Sebring has an Irish pub! I can't get over how cool a spot this is! My parents live here and I visit once per year, and in a town of sameness, this really stands out as being unique. The Guinness Stew, Scotch egg, fish and chips, cottage pie, and vegetable curry were all fabulous. The staff was courteous and there is a great decor. The one thing I'd love to see change is the serving style. Everything is order at the bar, and sometimes this is necessary with staffing woes. However, it creates quite a logjam at the bar. A traditional wait staff will take this to another level. I can't wait to return!

We stopped in after deciding not to go to a burger bar and wow - so glad we did! We sat at the bar; ordered vodka martinis (well made & 10$) and then enjoyed a piping hot cottage pie for me, shepherds pie for Wayne. We shared a Kilkenny Irish draft and thoroughly enjoyed talking with the bartender. Great service and enough food for dinner at home

Fish & Chips (haddock)

Just moved to Sebring and so glad we found this place! Very cool atmosphere, you can actually picture yourself in a pub in Ireland. A GREAT assortment of beer on tap, with all the Irish offerings like Guinness, Harp, Smithwick's, and Kilkenny served by the pint. We tried the wings and the fish & chips, both were fresh, hot, and high quality, with decent portion sizes. We sit at the bar whenever possible and the bartender on that night was wonderful, her name was Danielle. She was fast, efficient, and knowledgeable in addition to being very easy on the eyes! We'll be back for sure!

Can't wait to go back and try the food! I saw it coming out of the kitchen and it all looked very good. Just stopped in for drinks and loved the staff and atmosphere! Can't wait to go back!

Highlands Irish Pub - Brisket Flatbread was tasty but the flavors were out of balance!

I always love it when a new restaurant opens in my Highlands County and this place debuted in…read moreNovember. It's a little off the beaten path for me and I'm a lazy ass so it took me until this weekend to get there! Arriving- It's in the clubhouse of the North Golf Course in the Highland's Ridge Community. Follow the signs for that clubhouse or let your GPS do the work. If you are familiar with the area, it was formally The Tavern. Ambience- So this is what a lot of folks would call a Country Club restaurant. As I had patronized the old tenants, I was curious how they were going to transform it into an Irish Pub. The answer is they didn't! It looks nothing like and Irish Pub. It's a large space with lots of natural light and traditional furniture. It has lots of outside seating that's covered with ceiling fans and many seats have a nice view! There is a very small bar that seats about six. In short, it looks like a Country Club restaurant. So much for pub ambience! Customer Service- Awesome, maybe seven stars! I had substantial interactions with the manager, bartender, and a server. All were exceptional. Adult Libations- Definitely not a pub style bar. It's a full bar with just a few taps but nothing special. Food- Like the ambience, it's an American menu with a couple of Irish dishes. There's Bangers & Mash and Shepard's Pie. Other than that, they throw in a couple of Irish terms to deceive you but it's really an American menu. There're enough choices to satisfy most folks. See their website. I ordered Irish Brisket Flatbread- Brisket, bacon, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, BBQ sauce, mozzarella cheese @ $13. It was out in good time and plated very nicely. Plenty of food for the price so good value. The flatbread was nicely crisp. I love caramelized onions and that's the base here. Everything was very fresh. Plenty of brisket. Unfortunately, the onions overpowered the other ingredients, so the flavors were not balanced. It was tasty but needed a little work to be a winner. Conclusion- If you're looking for an Irish Pub, you're in the wrong place. If you're looking for an American menu that has some potential with a great staff and beautiful outside seating, give it a try. As they are new and the staff is awesome combined with the outside seating, I'm going to be a little charitable and say four stars!

Stopped by twice and both times were told they only had bar food avail. Waste of time to drive…read morethere for fried food.

Wines from all around the world. Their list rivals the finest Miami restaurants. I started with a Green Goddess Wedge Salad. The Green Goddess dressing was delicious. It was a nice change from the standard blue cheese wedge dressing. My entree was the Suprema Christina, a classic from 1992. It's a tender chicken breast pan sautéed with mushrooms in a sherry lobster sauce. It came with two jumbo Key West shrimp and linguini pasta. The side green beans were pan seared and nicely wrinkled. The whole dish was an A+. I also enjoyed a nice Justin Cabernet Sauvignon. This restaurant and hotel are nicely positioned near the water. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I highly recommend visiting this great establishment.

Chicanes Promises Upscale Dining but Delivers an Uneven Experience…read more Chicanes carries itself like an upscale dining room, which is why the night's missteps stood out more than they should have. The evening began on a sour note, and not because of anything on the plate. A heavy downpour had turned the entrance into a shallow lake with slick footing, the kind that makes every step feel unsure. My husband took a hard fall, wrenching his back and bruising his hip. Another guest later mentioned the same slick approach, which tells me this is more than bad luck. For a restaurant that draws an older crowd, safety at the door should not be an afterthought. Inside, the welcome was much warmer. The staff was friendly and our server Ethan handled the holiday rush with calm attention. He stayed present without hovering and made sure we had what we needed. If only the kitchen had matched his level of care. The Thanksgiving menu looked promising, but the execution never quite reached the level the price tag promised. The lobster arrived overcooked and clinging stubbornly to its shell. The sauce meant to lift it fell flat. The butternut squash bisque was pleasant enough, though short on depth. The apple walnut salad was a clear winner. Crisp, balanced, and bright. It deserves a permanent spot on the menu. The entrées continued the theme of missed opportunities. The vegetables needed seasoning, especially the Brussels sprouts, which tasted like they had skipped the last step before leaving the kitchen. The potatoes au gratin stole the show, rich and comforting, which only highlighted how muted everything else tasted. For a meal tipping the scale at around $140, the food should meet the standard the setting implies. Chicanes has the bones of a great restaurant. The staff is strong, the room is inviting, and the menu choices read well. But the flavors need more care, more confidence, and more seasoning. A place aiming for an upscale experience has to deliver more than ambiance. There is potential here, but potential is not enough at this price. With steadier footing at the entrance and sharper execution in the kitchen, Chicanes could be worth the splurge. Tonight, it wasn't.

I chose the Quiet Man but didn't like the sensation of toasted bun and cold roast beef either temp for everything would've been better. Liked that some options were half sandwiches at $11 rather than over-priced, over-edible super-sized sandwiches. Would love for them to re-work their coleslaw. We like the lower calorie option over fries and chips but don't care for "their" recipe. Didn't see nor hear about desserts. Great food but fall short in advertising/social media, brunch clarity, dessert options, parking, noise.

The Corned Beef and Cabbage had no seasoning whatsoever, tasted like it was just boiled in plain water. The Chocolate cake looked beautiful, all drizzled with white chocolate and rasberry sauce. The drizzles were the best part. The cake tasted like the refrigerator smells. I hope we got it on a bad night but I suspect its not worth going for food again.
