Then we ordered the steak frites and a burger, and the food took a long time to come out, the server came by to say she'd check on it, but it still took much longer than expected. When the steak finally arrived, I had ordered it medium but it came out medium well to well done, pretty overcooked, and the fries that came with it were also a bit burnt. The server was attentive and offered us a discount for the delay, and when I mentioned the steak, she got the manager involved. He came over, apologized, said he'd let the chef know, and ended up comping that dish entirely, it was clear they cared about making it right. My husband's burger was good. We had wanted to try the carrot cake for dessert, but after everything, we just lost the appetite for it. The service was friendly and they tried to make up for the mistake, but between the long wait and the overcooked steak, it wasn't the first impression we were hoping for. Hopefully just an off day.
