I got the taco salad and loved their take on making it unique. My husband got tge Baja bowl with brisket and really enjoyed it. My daughter got beef fajitas and we were all so jealous because it was incredible. It was cooked to perfection and was seasoned just right. The red fish tacos were spot on and lastly the nachos with brisket were delicious as well. The good was they were very close to the place we were staying. We asked what's their best seller and asked for recommendations. The guy at the counter said it's all good. Go we got the redfish taco, named for the place so has to be good. The fish was way over cooked and chewed like a tough pork chop. I got the brisket to see how well they do that. Being from Texas I know a thing or two about that. Turns out to be just fine. No complaints. There was a guy singing and playing guitar where we ate. He was good and smoothed things over. Redfish taco is tucked into redfish village and is such a lively spot. Family friendly restaurant with ample seating indoor and outdoor. You order at the counter, making it a casual environment. Love that they also sometimes have bands play at dinner time. Lots of TVs inside too for sports events. We enjoyed the happy hour nachos which came out quickly. We've been 30a regulars - and been Red Fish Taco patrons for several years. This isn't the same RFT and we won't be back. They moved to become part of the Dawson Group and the food quality has gone wayyyyy down. We went in on a Monday for Happy Hour, the tequila in the house margs has gotten cheaper, the queso feels like it came from a cafeteria and the guac needed about a pound of salt and lime to make it better. My sister in laws shredded chicken tasted like it had been rolled in straight chili powder. Some things should be left alone. This is wasn't an improvement. And the worst part- is that the Dawson Group people were eating and having a meeting there too. It's a shame. read more

Had a great meal with the family at Red Fish! We ordered at the counter, and opted to eat indoors where our group found a large table where we could sit together. There was seating outdoors with patio heaters but it was pretty busy due to the live music that night. Our food was brought out quickly and it was piping hot. You could grab your own silverware, napkins and condiments (the green sauce is my fave!!) and take out containers too at a self service station. Our dishes were cleared quickly when we were finished - the staff were very attentive and efficient. The smoked brisket tacos were fantastic, the grouper tacos were great, the birria tacos were excellent - everyone was happy with the portions and great flavors. We shared a tres dippers and it was a generous portion of salsa, guac and queso with chips (still warm) - so good! Highly recommend Red Fish Tacos for a casual night out. read more

Food was expensive and not very tasty. The street corn used to be on the cob and was tastier. Now, it seems like it's from a can and not nearly as good. We go every year, sometimes multiple times, when on vacation in blue mountain. The new layout and decorations were also a detraction from its previous vibe. Every year we come to the area for the week and this is our first time actually dining here. I'm mad at myself for not going all the times before. They do get crowded but where we stay at, we can walk here. Please order the chips n salsa the chips are perfectly seasoned, Salsa is kinda chunky and flavorful and with just a hint of spice....very good. This is a genuine shame. Red Fish Taco was a staple of my family and I for many many years. Having fantastic food, great service and a homey, welcoming atmosphere. The Dawson Group has RUINED my favorite restaurant on 30A. Not only has the food quality DRASTICALLY decreased, but the ENTIRE MENU has nearly doubled in price. I used to be able to get a brisket quesadilla a side of street corn AND a drink for $20 or less. Now, a quesadilla ALONE is $14, adding brisket is $7 MORE and a simple sweet tea is $3. Not to mention the street corn is no longer street corn. It's now comes in a bowl filled with taco seasoning claiming it's "Elote". The "Elote" (on the menu it claims to be "corn cut off the Cobb") is now canned corn with taco seasoning, butter and tomato's. Dawson Group, you should be ASHAMED of yourselves. Taking a PERFECT business and changing everything about it when nothing was wrong in the first place. Renovating a place, then jacking up the prices to pay for it is not the way to run a business. No one asked for this. No one. I'm extremely disappointed in this "new management" and I will NOT be returning. read more

All I have to say is THANK GOD for the Dawson group breathing new life into this restaurant and menus. The food was below average prior to the management change and the inside felt like a hollister store in the mall in 2007 with how dark it was. BUT NOW The food quality has drastically improved and they have kept the live music that the locals love. My husband and I go here multiple times a month and always bring friends or family when they are in town. Probably not good to order if you are driving. Location is nice - a welcome burst of air conditioning on a hot summer day. TVs with sports. We found the food decent. Across the visits we have various appetizers and tacos. The queso and salsa are both good. Price point for food was a little high but in line with the area. No complaints on the food but nothing wowed us. We didn't love the service situation / ordering at counter / lack of physical menus. A personal preference but made it harder to organize our group and it's pretty dark at the counter looking at the menus. Wait on the longer side even when it wasn't busy. This place was a huge disappointment. The kid's meal is a single taco for $12 - the chicken is veryyy spicy for a child item. The fries were a soggy wedge fry.
