I had a very disappointing experience at Stinky's Bait Shack in Walton County, Florida. When I went to the bar to order a drink, Jacob was extremely rude. He cursed at me and threatened not to serve me. He was visibly shaking, and it appeared he was unable to handle the pressure of a busy bar. I also observed inconsistent ID checks. Jacob asked me and my sisters for our IDs, which is completely fine. However, I noticed that several other customers were not asked for identification, including my male family members who are the same age as us. It appeared that he was only asking female customers for their IDs, which seemed inconsistent and unprofessional. There was also inconsistency in how drink orders were handled. The customer directly in front of us was served three drinks in a single order, but when it was our turn, we were told we could only order one drink at a time. If that's the policy, it should be enforced equally for everyone. The customer service was unprofessional, and this experience left a very negative impression. I would not recommend this establishment based on the way we were treated. read more

We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. While staying in Santa Rosa Beach for a month Stinkys was a two minute cart ride from our rental. So we frequented there. We tried the fresh fish of the day many times including red fish, grouper, swordfish and crab. It was cooked just right. The gumbo and seafood chowder were tasty. The crayfish pie and crayfish hushpuppies or scrumptious. The oysters both fresh and in a po boy were yummy. My only regret is we never had room for any of the desserts. Fast response to challenge. Went back next day for coffee and biscuits. Wonderful service from Jackson and delicious coffee. Thanks for making it right! Ordered an iced coffee, paid for it with my Amex, phone got the alert right away that the charge went through, Kaley said the charge was declined. I showed her my phone, pulled up my account to show her the transaction was not declined and she said well on her end it was and there was nothing she could do. I stepped outside and called Amex who verified the charge had posted, went back in to tell her (Kaley? Kelsey who claims she is a manager) and she still refused to give me my coffee that I paid for, even after showing her proof! Completely stole my money and horrible customer service. All over a $5 coffee. We planned on our extended family all dining there the majority of the week but not anymore! Frauds! read more

I really enjoyed the bands and the ambiance. It's a comfortable place to see a decent local band. Is it a bit pricey? Yes. Everything in the area is pricey. You are in a beach community. The employees were all nice. We didn't have any food. read more

We are here on vacation and came back every day because she was so friendly, told us about the bingo, bands, and specials. it was so busy she served everyone with a smile and helped customers who apparently did not read the menu while waiting in line ten minutes. Stinkys is a great place to have a beer and wait for your table at the resturant. There's a gift shop and a full bait shop as well as a bar and night time music. Not a bad place to relax and we would visit it again. read more

A quick and fun place to get a drink while waiting on a table at Stinky's or while on the beach and needing a refresher. They were always welcoming and accommodating each of the 4 times we went last week while on vacation. Try their frozen Fat Tuesday drinks - you won't be disappointed but you'll definitely want to start with just one so you don't overdo it with the alcohol. They have half gallon offerings of these, and they'll give you cups, to take to the beach and share with 3 others. When we went, they had a Honey Lemonade, Margarita, and Stinky Juice. They'll let you taste them before you commit to one flavor, and you should definitely try the Stinky Rita (mix of the Margarita and Stinky Juice). We went there with four adults and four kids and boy was it busy! We heard it was an amazing place so we were ready to devour some food. Long story short, we ended up having to get our meals to go. My husband got shrimp and grits, and he only got three pieces of shrimp and three pieces of sausage. The other three adult meals were thrown in a cardboard box and appeared very sloppy. My husband and I stopped in for beers twice while we were on vacation. Each time we were pleasantly greeted and helped quickly. I wish we would've stopped by during a time there was live music because it seems like a great place to relax, have a few beers, and hang out. We were searching for a fun coffee shop recently, while we were in Santa Rosa Beach visiting our son and his family. Stinky's popped up with a very high rating, so we decided to check it out. It looked like a bit of a "hole in the wall" but it had a fun vibe (combining coffee shop, bar, and misc. gift items AND BAIT TOO--APPARENTLY ;-)) and the coffee was delicious! We had to try the "Cracked Coffee" (which we were unfamiliar with) and... YUM!!!!! We will definitely frequent Stinky"s whenever we're in town! read more
