I went in and met with "Jay" for a estimate on my 2024 Cadillac CT5 my coworker hit, and he beat every other estimate I had done already, and had my ride done in 3 days. This is my 2nd time at this Tesla body shop. This time was for hit and run on my front bumper of Model Y. Cliff took care of me once again! The service here is amazing! I was involved in a hit-and-run, and insurance sent me here. I'm a college student and don't know much about cars, so Cliff explained the entire process to me, and was just super sweet in general! With the amount of damage there was, they fixed my baby up in practically no time at all. They even cleaned her for me! Our 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid was hit in a Safeway parking lot while we were shopping and the other driver was nowhere in sight when we returned to the car. We received an estimate from 19th Auto Body Center for the repair and were very satisfied with the amount quoted. When we picked up our car 2 1/2 days later, it had been repaired, washed, and looked like new, with no evidence that it had ever been damaged. We received text messages every day regarding the progress of the repair and when it would be available for pickup after the repair. Their office is large, bright, and clean, and all of the staff we dealt with were extra friendly and helpful. Usually I'm pretty skeptical about getting my car fixed after an accident, but this center was the most stress-free experience I ever had!! After having someone hit my car in the city, all I could think about was the pain of dropping my car off for repairs, which is extremely stressful especially for someone who has no clue about car repairs. I get into car accident frequently in this city (unfortunately) so I know even if it's not your fault, the car repair is always the most stressful experience! It's more stressful than getting hit sometimes! I cannot express enough that this shop blew my expectations!! I dropped off my car and they promised it will be done it two weeks. They got it done a day or two beforehand. This was also right before Christmas so I was blown away that they were able to do it just in time. The process was so simple. The hand off was easy. Don't waste your time, the workmanship is under par. I had my Tesla worked on 3 times and every time there is something wrong after the car is picked up. 1st time, I inspected some paint chips that require to repaint the bumper. The 2nd time, they scratch the window tint inside the car and some paint chips. The 3rd time, the broken my trunk open/close button and the speaker that is mounted in the front bumper. They do not care about quality. Trust me, go somewhere else. What frustrated me is that they are Tesla Certified and obviously they have no idea what they are doing. Disappointed!! read more

My girlfriend and I got into a few accidents in the past 1.5 years... 3 to be exact... No shock living in San Francisco... I remembered a friend of mine who recommended this shop from a previous collision and recommended me talk to Jack Lee if I ever go. So I have brought my cars (A Toyota Corolla and a Subaru XV) to 19th Auto Body Center. First time heavy winds blew a empty trash can at me when I was driving my Subaru. I hit it and It put a dent on the front right of the car. The second time, someone committed a hit and run on my girl's Corolla on the front left bumper and cracked the head lamp and dented the left bumper. Recently someone hit my girl's car by backing into it. It damaged the right door, right fender, inner wheel liner, and the right rocker. I had to drop the cars at the shop. The cars came out in perfect condition! Just like I had it before I got into a vehicle collision. They even helped deal with my rental car so I don't have to return it to Hertz. Just recently, I couldn't help but notice I have not written a Yelp on this great shop! My Agent, Jack Lee, is great with communication and great with customer service. We have been here too many times, never their fault, it is annoying when your car gets hit when parked, it's even more annoying when it happens TWICE in the same month, and even more annoying when insurance tries to nickel and dime you, charging YOU for things which they should be paying for??? After all my wife's car was parked and hit both times, not the other way around. Cliff @ 19th ABC literally put cash back in my wife's hand!!! Got there on time for an estimate and had to wait for 1.5hrs; before they took at look at my car a woman came to us and the first thing she said was to not waste her time if we're not going to fix it at her shop in a very rude and condescending manner. Wow there's a lot of bad reviews and good reviews it depends I guess who you deal with it. But I dealt with cliff it was Joe from 19th Avenue who took my car there and I had great service the day I got my car somebody scratched it and it took me 6 months to go back because I was busy, but they did a great job yesterday he checked the replacement of the headlight he got some other scratches off from the back bumper and they detailed my car out. So not everyone will have a great experience at places but I had a really good one cuz I don't trust people with my car because there's too many people be scamming and lying,but Cliff was awesome he was patient he took me in before the warranty ran out also I think someone fix my sunroof,but he didn't know who so I said thank you because somebody try to force it open and now I don't have to pay deductible and it's fixed. so I appreciate that And thanks to Triple-A I mean yeah insurance is a nightmare but it was easy peasy for me and I recommend that people go here I guess it depends what your insurance is sometimes could be a nightmare, so I talked to Cliff and I noticed other people talk to Isaac which I don't know who that is but I had a great experience with them, and I will go back unless I can't go to Ford and then I will come here. This by far is the most unprofessional, most crappiest shop ever. Do not take your business here. Brought my car here for minor damage. They didn't fix what was Damaged drained my battery ruined my moldings on doors. Removed my window tint adjuster said my tint film was cheap. Ok I'll let it slide but didn't tell me they removed it left all the glue film on. Missed placed body parts on car then Had the nerve to say is wasn't on there when I brought car in. What the hell. If I could give this place minus 5 stars I would. Made me feel like I was trying to pull a fast one on them when in fact it was them. I had to call in daily to check on car being ready. Over 20+ years, I've taken 4 cars here for a variety of body repairs, some minor, some not so small. Today was my smallest... a door handle that had been side-swiped off the car. Instead of scheduling for a future time with more back-and-forth, they fixed it then and there with a part I'd found online (dealer was no longer able to supply this part for my 2008 Prius). This was my first time at 19th Auto Body, and hopefully it will be the last (in a good way). After reading several reviews from several different body shops in the inner and outer sunset I have to say, as reluctant as I was in deciding to go with them, I am ELATED that I did. To be honest, I probably would not have if they weren't in the most convenient location to my home, but again - I'm GLAD I did. For context, my vehicle had been vandalized on Halloween with major damages to the passenger door and minor damages to: passenger window and passenger rear. I called in last Wednesday morning and spoke with Emily (who is the receptionist) and scheduled a time to drop my car off later that day. I had been fortunate to meet with Jack Lee, (one of the head mechanics) the previous week and after examining my vehicle (including issues that weren't related to my claim) he assured me that my car could be fixed in a timely manner. I would say that getting things done in a 'timely manner' is the number 1 priority after providing quality work. Each place I had called after Jack and I's initial conversation told me they wouldn't be able to start until weeks or months later and told me it would take at least a week and a half (10+ days). I happily returned to 19th Auto Body (who was able to take me the same day) and upon dropping off my car exchanged conversation with Jack again. This time, I asked for a more definitive answer of how long he thought it would take, he told me: "We can have it done in a week." I thought to myself, "Fantastic!". So I handed over my claim documents, went to get my rental and WHAT HAPPENED NEXT WILL SHOCK YOU! (maybe..) I returned this evening, precisely 7 days later and my car looked BRAND NEW. I honestly had never seen my car look as good! The other non-claim related issue I mentioned to Jack was also fixed (for NO additional charge) and simply I can't express my gratitude more. Let me express a few more things that may be over-looked: Because the work was finished on time, I was able to minimize the cost of my rental (don't ask me why my insurance doesn't cover it, I THOUGHT 'full coverage' meant 'full coverage'). I was able to get a non-claim related issue for no additional charge. ..AND, well, there are two other POSITIVE things.. but I'd hate to create expectations for those reading this whose experiences may vary. Long story short, I will be recommending people to this place, and don't understand why they have so many low stars. The over-all experience I received was impeccable. P.S. If you need a rental they will contact enterprise on your behalf and they'll come and give you a lift. HOWEVER, if you're paying out of pocket (like I did) then check this out: http://www.citytoyotarents.com/ I saved $50 by renting from Toyota vs Enterprise, my tax was 9% (not sure if it's the same across the board) For the 7 days (1 week) I had my rental, the total was $130 vs the $180 it would have been from enterprise. Brought my car in for an estimate and wanted to proceed with the work. They told me the parts would take a while to come in but I was okay with that. Left all my info with them and waited several weeks. The person handling my case went MIA and no one got back to me. I called numerous times and each time they would tell me someone would call me back but no one ever did. When I asked to work with another advisor, they connected me with a supervisor who promised to give me an update by the next day but that never happened. I called a few times after but eventually gave up. I ended up choosing another body shop. Parts came in within a week and I got my car fixed. read more

Work was fine, but I would never return after the treatment I got. I dropped off my car on a Monday and was told it would be ready "Wednesday or Thursday". Those days passed with no call from them about completion... So I called Thursday and was told it would be ready Friday. Ahem. On Friday I didn't need the car; I called and they said I could pick it up Saturday. So I came Saturday -- it still wasn't ready. "We just need to install your headlight and reattach this other piece; it'll just be a few minutes. Seriously? Obviously it would be longer. A few HOURS later, no call from them, I called and it wasn't ready. And they were closed Sunday. Finally, Monday morning, miraculously, it was ready. This shouldn't be hard -- every other car shop I've used has CALLED ME to say when it'll be ready. If there's a problem, they CALL ME in advance This place inconvenienced me repeatedly and never seemed to get the idea of keeping the customer informed; I don't need to return for more of that. (I told them they would have to pay for the extra days I rented a replacement car -- it sure wasn't their idea.) read more

Cliff was very nice and detailed about the procedure regarding the paint job and interior replacement. Despite Cliff's professionalism, I cant say much about this employees. What I didnt understand was that, the interior was leather and instead of replacing the parts with leather, they decided to put in some felt like material. Common sense, your are supposed to replace car parts with the correct interior. I mean for crying out loud, the drivers side is leather so why would the passenger side be felt material? Anyways, this place is very good with customer service and organization etc especially with Cliff running the office area. read more

I just took my car there for an estimate after being sideswiped. To me, the damage looks like it could almost be washed off -- paint scrapes and a dent. They gave me an estimate for over $1,800 and I nearly fell over. He told me anyone else will tell me the same thing. So I'm here on Yelp, comparison shopping and will follow up... I got pretty much the same estimates elsewhere so I got over the sticker-shock. I also had the repairs done somewhere else because they had a better attitude. Sorry about that earlier review. My review is the same as Jean's. My experience was almost identical, except that my estimate came to 2500! i found a guy elsewhere that listened to me say the words "i can not have this car totalled since i CAN NOT afford to go in debt right now getting a replacement!" The real cost of the damage? 200 dollars. These guys are in cahoots with the Insurance companies, so basically it is to their advantage to jack up the estimate. However, they run a fine line of losing LOTS of business if there estimates result in the insurance companies wanting to total the car... asswipes. read more
