I took my truck in January 2025 due to the damage caused by the tornadoes that hit Alvin, Texas, in December 2024. My truck had broken windows and some scratches. To summarize, if you care about your vehicle, you should consider going elsewhere. They did a sloppy job and left my vehicle in worse condition than when I arrived. The window they attempted to replace is faulty; it doesn't raise or lower properly, so I'll have to get it replaced correctly elsewhere. When they took my truck apart to paint it, they didn't replace the screws in the area where I put the diesel and DEF, so now it's loose and will need fixing. If you have an insurance adjuster, make sure you are present when they inspect your vehicle. They did a decent job on the paint, but that's about it. It's worth noting that the shop is no longer run by the original owner, but that shouldn't matter; they should still provide good service, and they don't. Overall, it was awful. Maybe I am venting, but it feels like every time I look at my truck, there's something else they didn't do right. To save yourself the heartache and stress, please go somewhere else. I love my truck and worked hard to pay it off, so it's frustrating to trust someone to do their job, only for them to do a half-hearted job instead. Go somewhere else!

Was visiting Houston from out of town and a screw had popped off on my bumper and it was flapping in the wind. I had to drive 150 miles back home on a Sunday so I could make work Monday morning. I called some "body shops" but everybody was closed. I found 2 guys A1 Autobody and this other guy. The other guy wanted me to go to Home Depot and bring him something - while A1 was like I can most likely fix it given the pictures. I was a little reluctant to spend money from somebody on Yelp and not an official body shop. But, I wasn't in a position to really wait and shop around. I didn't know what to expect but when I got to the location this guy was prepared and I could quickly tell he knew his stuff. I felt very comfortable having him work on my car and feel like I got lucky to find him. I have driven 200 miles since, and my car looks great - panels are secure. With the remaining time he offered to fix some dings and gave me the rundown of what could be a quick-fix vs. time-intensive. Bobby has a lot of experience with body work. This is like directly dealing with the guy that will touch your car rather then go to shop, schedule an appointment, and wait around. Overall, very happy and would recommend again.

However, in my opinion, from the standpoint of someone garnering quotes for a future mirror replacement, the receptionist or customer service associate who answered the phone did not have a good enough concept of (potential) customer relations. After a truly harrowing, somewhat traumatizing freeway experience, I thought the person answering the phone would at least have some kind of empathy or even just a professional, friendly tone. My initial request to speak to a mechanic or service advisor was ignored. Anyways, I volunteered info about the make, model, year and color of the car, but she only seemed interested in the VIN number, which I provided. Any other place asks for all of this info. She actually said I read the VIN number too fast at the end of my reading of it, which makes no sense as I never read numbers that fast out of courtesy. I even took the extra step of making sure she got the letters correctly, but, again, she did not appreciate that. Instead, she rather unprofessionally and abruptly ended the entire call. I've never had this kind of low vibration, low intelligence customer service from any auto-related business. So, I called back and left a message thinking perhaps the owner would contact me either the same day or the next, to no avail. Every other business I have contacted, from dealerships to independent repair and body shops, have had much more impressive and professional communications.
