What a wonderful experience with a very knowledgeable company. Tim visited earlier and did some troubleshooting on my pond pumps, at that time he explained the full needs for updating our electrical panal. We were told about this need about two years ago but never had it explained as well as Tim. We agreed that we should have it should be done Tim sent us the estimate and we really agreed. This is a highly professional, competent company I feel so lucky to have discovered thru Yelp. Tim first came to my home to detect why an area of my home suddenly lost power-- it looked to be a blown breaker but I was unable to reset it. He carefully did the detective work, found a bad outlet, and replaced it promptly, efficiently, and economically, even giving me color choices for the replacement. But he explained that I needed to replace and update all switches and outlets in my older home, which hadn't been touched in 47 years. Contracted for that work, Tim returned with his apprentice Angel and completed the entire job in one very long day, including the garage fixtures (AC, garage door opener) as well as kitchen (including the refrigerator), all 4 bedrooms, dining area, playroom, 3 bathrooms, and installing two new LED surface lights in the kitchen. The work was stellar, and as long as the workday was for them, they stayed late and cleaned up thoroughly. I also deeply appreciated the excellent communication; I received clear professional advice and information from Tim, and also from apprentice Angel and Tracie who reliably mans the phones. Quick, professional and got the job done right the first time! The house we moved into (2 1/2 months ago) had a kitchen light that was not working properly. HUGE Shoutout to Davis Electric & Systems. Due to a mess-up by PG&E, I was without power for four days. It was so stressful, and I felt so belittled by PG&E who didn't believe that I didn't have power in my home and instead told me to call an electrician. I called Davis Electric & Systems, and their team literally rearranged multiple days to help me and work on fixing my electrical outage. Not only were they professional and expedient, but everyone was extremely kind and empathetic. Tim took the time to explain different intricacies of basic home wiring to me so I could better understand what was going on in my own home. He is also the one that, after multiple days, found the issue that only PG&E could resolve but had overlooked during their three previous house calls. Wonderful and amazing are two words that first come to mind when I think about the work that Tim and did for us today. From the moment that I called Davis Electric and spoke with Tracy I was greeted with world class customer service that is actually pretty hard to find nowadays. Tim and Nick installed a beautiful dining room chandelier and even worked with our difficult 1950's electrical wiring. They also installed outlets to accommodate my TV in our master bedroom and installed a wire hiding appliance (see picture for exAmple). This is my first review ever.... But I had to send the message out that this company did me such justice today! I had another company out this morning for an electrical problem that affected a good portion of my house and that electrician said he could not repair the problem today and it was going to be a very difficult job and I was going to have to remove my furnace and a wall to get to my second panel where he said the problem was. Tim came just a couple of hours after that first person visited for a second opinion and he resolved the problem in a very short amount of time. Getting an appointment scheduled with Davis electric was very simple. The receptionist (Tim's wife, Tracie) is so sweet and polite. They came out and did an estimate (back in November), but then we got busy with the holidays and life, and never scheduled an a day. So we called a few months later, and they Tim had to come back out and give another estimate. We got a motion detector light, a closet light (the old one was having electrical issues and had to be completely replaced), and a ceiling fan/light had that to be installed from "scratch". Tim was prompt, and called my boyfriend to let him know that he was just a few minutes behind. I work night shift, and I was fully expecting to not get much sleep - but Tim was so respectful about that and was as quiet as possible; I didn't wake up until my normal time :-). Actually, I woke up to a car horn outside - not even him installing a ceiling fan! Lol! It has been a few days and everything works perfectly. I didn't get any other estimates (I got a good vibe so I just went for it) but I felt the price was very reasonable. So happy with Davis electric and will definitely use them in the future!
