I have been a customer for 29 years and was unceremoniously dumped in a form letter - xeroxed and looking like it was produced in the 1970s - which I literally found today. I talked to a couple of men there who oozed misogyny and spoke to me like I was a foolish child. I got the impression that if I was married this would not have happened. Avoid at all costs, particularly if you are an older woman. I will not go into the details of it all but be aware that their customers are numbers to them and not people. Their offered to reinstate me was $1400 a month for a 2013 Subaru that I was paying $400 a month for with liability only. I had pulled out of parking spaces twice and been slammed into by young men who were speeding - at least 30 mph over the speed limit - but they said it was my fault that they hit me and that I was parked illegally, which were lies as both times I was in legal parking spaces. Both of them also tried to make money off of the insurance and submitted claims for side scratches which I had photos of that were $10,000 plus. One of them claimed physical injury too. And GEICO never investigated, just paid them. I also had another incident with GEICO before this. First I had a conversation with a sales agent about how to lower my insurance costs. Without explaining what she was doing - so clearly without my consent - she dropped my insurance to liability only. When I asked to review the tape of the conversation - since I knew I had never said that - first I was told that was impossible and then sent a "transcript" of the call that had been extensively edited. So when I was hit by a car on the street and it was speeding so fast it bent my undercarriage they refused to pay for it. Also two accidents that I had were listed as illegally parked and there was no truth in that. Avoid at all costs. I literally drove around without insurance because they could not even take the time to tell me there was an issue and I should address it.
