im super disappointed that i spend over 1000 on a chandelier that arrived broken.... when ordered i was promised next day arrival of my money back. needlesss to say it didn't arrive next day but i was ok with that as long as we hit the light in time. called in to let them know the light was damaged and was told id receive an email and someone would reach out in 3-4 business days. They are probably fine to deal with as long as nothing goes wrong with your order. We were sent the wrong item. Long, incredibly frustrating story short, we had scaffolding up for a remodel in our living room that was to last a month. They sent the wrong chandelier and we spend the next five frustrating weeks trying to get it replaced. With scaffolding blocking our living room the whole time. They didn't care. We did everything we could on our end but virtually nothing happened on theirs. The only support is through a texting where you can have about 3 minutes of information exchange spread over 20 frustrating minutes. They wouldn't even cancel our order when it became clear nothing was going to happen in anything resembling a timely fashion. All this time, the item we ordered shows "In stock, usually ships in 1-3 days" on their site as well as other sites. Had to file a dispute with my credit card company in the end. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had dealing with a "support" department. read more

Gerard in customer service was great but in general would not recommend. Hint - this is not the actual Hinkley company. It felt very tricky. I ordered a few fans and soon after cancelled the order when I realized it wasn't actually Hinkley (Hinkleylightingexperts.com -- very sneaky). I was told the order was cancelled and that no money would be deducted. Unfortunately the fans I ordered were delivered and my card was debited though I was told I wouldn't be. So now I have to wait a week to get my money back and have to run to fedex for a return. read more

I placed a order for lights on their website. They sent lights without arms! I finally decide I need the lights. I placed a $600 dollar order for our client and they never arrived! Fed ex said they left them but we were home waiting for this order. I have held three weeks straight over two hours every time to no avail. Company cutting back but I think this is the worse company I have ever ordered from! I do design and this has never happened in 10 years. This company is awful!!!! This company is horrific. They show things as "in-stock" and take your payment. Then they send an email with a 67 day shipping date! They then have you request cancellation and say it will take a few days to see if they indeed do not have these items in the warehouse and make sure they haven't already shipped them. They will then approve or deny your cancellation. it takes another several days to issue a refund. They will not transfer you to a supervisor. When I threatened to charge back on my Amex she said that could take 6 months. Interesting that they have ample experience with charge-backs. As a merchant for over 30 years, I have NEVER had a charge-back. But they appear to have them all the time. Buyer beware. read more

We are a Commercial Customer account and for over a week have been trying to contact them to first make payment and then to track down an order. We have requested call backs and email responses yet we still get nothing. Last week we were on hold for over 1 hour 40 minutes until I gave up. Today was the last straw after being left on hold for 3 hours & 4 minutes ..... and still no one picked up again. You have lost a large account for wasting our time trying to track you down. BEWARE! I ordered four flush light fixtures from 1 Stop Lighting. Unfortunately, the color advertised was not what I received. I have repeatedly contacted the 1 Stop Lighting in an attempt to return the lighting. After completing the online return form, I was supposed to receive an email with a RGI number- Nothing to date. You cannot return an item without this number. The online portal will not complete another return request... It replies that the company has already received my request and is waiting for my items to be returned. I have spent hours (10-12 hours) on hold anticipating that today will be the day 1 Stop Lighting pick up the phone. The call back feature the promise to hold your place in line is a gimmick. It's been a week and I still haven't received a callback. Don't hold you breath. I called today and decided to select 1 for sales instead of 3 for returns. I wasn't surprised when the operator immediately answer. After telling her the purpose of my call, she quickly routed me to being placed on hold. Be careful when doing business with 1 Stop Lighting! This has nothing to do with COVID-19, this is just bad business. It's sad that companies are masking bad business practices behind something as serious as COVID-19. read more

I ordered an exterior porch light from a division of this company. The light arrived promptly, but the glass was cracked/damaged on one of the lights. I have not received any response to my replacement claim or numerous emails. They are not accepting any calls due to COVID. When I attempt online chat, it says I'm customer number 80+ and estimated time to chat is 130+ minutes. After 10+ days of no response to any of my emails, I had to file a claim with PayPal for reimbursement and the claim is pending. I would not recommended purchasing from this company. read more

To follow up on my previous post, I have been contacted by Nicholas and Sabine who both claim they are on top of it. I have also received an email (? with no information from whom) alluding that it is from the warehouse stating "we are on top of it!" Sabine has informed me that the pendant lights are in stock but the warehouse is backed up on orders so my lights are scheduled to be shipped 7/26 but maybe they will be shipped today or tomorrow. My concern with this is that I have read numerous 1 star reviews on this company where customers were told the same thing (by these same people) but the items were never shipped. It is striking me as lip service to appease customers for the moment with no real intention of following through with the shipment. I'm unclear on why this strategy is used. Are you stealing money from customers? An example of a recent transaction with another company that is professional and legitimate: I placed the order online. They followed with an email stating "we received your order". The next day they followed with an email that stated, "your item is ready to be picked up". They then charged my credit card. Professional. Legitimate. Until I have the merchandise in my hands I am inclined to believe this company is pulling scams on customers. I will go ahead and report this to the BBB and any other review sites I can find to help future potential customers of 1 StopLighting make informed decisions before making purchases. Currently, I still concur with the many other 1 star reviews and say do not use this company. You have a myriad of other legitimate companies to chose from. We ordered a light on March 16th and the item said it would ship immediately. I can see the Fedex tracking and it is still in the "label created" stage. We have reached out numerous times to see when we will receive our fixture, as we only placed the order because it was to ship right away. Update: 8/5/2020 Rights after leaving the review the case manager, Nicholas reached out to me within minutes and took care of the problem. I guess I was dealing with the wrong person before. I definitely recommend them! Horrible place to buy anything from online. I bought a glass round mirror from them and it came damaged. I reached out to them twice and they never replied so I had to start a Paypal case. Unfortunately, after a long process PayPal said I have to ship the item back at my own expense which would have cost 1/3 of the cost of the item itself. I know they will respond to this review and will bring up COVID but I bought my item in May reached out to them and waited a month before starting the case. Again, buy at your own risk. read more

Product arrived and does not work. I have been trying daily for 3 weeks to get contact with someone regarding a return. They phone number doesn't allow for voicemail, and no one ever picks up. The chat is only available for buying products, but those reps "dont have access to the return system" Return Ref R73922348 if anyone from the company is reading this. I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB. Update: Stephanie - I appreciate you sending the link, but I already went through that process. Return Ref was listed in my original review. The representative who contacted me told me to call craftmade directly, email him the name and contact number of the craftmade person I spoke with, and then maybe he would be able to offer return or refund. I am building a new house and had to order lights. I ordered these lights when builder said. It was has been over 30 days and lights are too big for area. I need to return and they will NOT let me return or even get credit. NEVER been opened or out of the box. They said too bad and try selling them on Facebook. I ordered 2 of the same vanity lights. I needed to return the lights because the glass shades are very short and look very awkward. I requested the returns within the 30 day period, but I printed off the same return label twice. Fed X would not accept one of them, because each light needs a different label. I contacted 1stoplighting to get the right label for the second light and they said they would not accept the return because now I was calling in 34 days!! What? I originally requested the returns within the 30 day period. Why won't they accept the second light back? What I don't understand is this comment on their website? "If your original order is older than 90 days, we will have to issue a refund via check. All check refunds will be sent to the same billing address provided on the order, and are typically issued within 14 days of final approval of the return." Why do they state this on the site? It makes one believe they still will accept returns within 90 days? Very deceptive! They will NOT make an exception! Do not order from this company!! read more
