Terrible experience. I ordered a fan and down rod on 9/5. The fan arrived late so I requested the $25 credit which was provided as promised. The down rod which showed available (and still does today) they are not sure when it will come in. I just got off the phone with the rep and was going to cancel the down rod. She wants to take 12.50 (half of the 25 dollar credit away) from me due to cancelation even though the fan still arrived late. Do not use them. read more

I am not one to complain and give a bad review but I want to share my story to the public so this does not happen to them. I bought a pair of Uttermost lamps from 1stoplighting (original order # 10655672) on December 15, 2022. The box was damaged but the lamps were still intact. The lamps were not a good fit for our bedroom so we decided to return them. The return request stated "THE ITEM MUST BE IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING AND IN RE-SELLABLE CONDITION. ANY DAMAGE INCURRED DURING SHIPPING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SENDER. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU PURCHASE INSURANCE SUFFICIENT TO COVER THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE ITEM(S)". We did tape any holes and cuts on the exterior of the box. The lamps were placed back in the Styrofoam packing within the box. I was instructed to return the items directly to Uttermost Returns. I dropped off the package at a UPS drop off on 12/19/22. I purchased insurance based on the cost of the lamps which was about $300. I checked online tracking to ensure Uttermost Returns/1stoplighting received the package and we received a refund. On the site, it later stated refund could not be processed due to lamp damage. There was no customer service number to contact Uttermost Returns Center so I contacted customer service at 1stoplighting. The service representative did provide me with 2 pictures I'm assuming was from Uttermost Returns. The pictures were not clear and hard to tell what was actually damaged. The representative notified me that I needed to contact UPS. I first contacted UPS in January 2023 and was provided a claim number by the representative after giving him all the information to contact 1stoplighting to review the damaged product. I was told that I would be contacted once they "investigated the problem". I never heard back from UPS. I contacted them again on 3/14/23. I was told that the claim had been closed because they were unable to view the damaged product. I had to explain again that I was the sender returning a product to Uttermost Returns and the lamps were bought through 1stoplighting. The claim had not been resolved. I was told they would look into this. Still no feedback from UPS regarding the claim. I contacted UPS again on 4/20/23. I repeated myself for the third time after the representative told me the claim had again been closed because they were unable to view the damaged product. So there was no confusion, I sent a copy of the return information, shipping label from UPS drop off, and the pictures that were provided to me by 1stoplighting. After several months of giving UPS an opportunity to resolve this issue, I contacted them again on 11/6/23. I was informed by the UPS representative that the claim had been resolved. I told him it had not and explained for the fourth time what happened. He instructed me to contact the receiver. I told him that I was told by them to go through UPS. EACH COMPANY BLAMING THE OTHER. I also stated that I was instructed by 1stoplighting to pack the lamps in the original box. He then stated that my claim had been denied due to improper packaging. After stating that I would write a bad review on the UPS website, I was told "to hold off, that he would file a dispute". Needless to say, after 1 year, nothing has been resolved and I'm very frustrated. I'm not only out the $300 on the Uttermost (which by the way is a great company and going directly through a local designer store for purchase is never an issue) lamps purchased through 1stoplighting but also the insurance money purchased through UPS. So, what is the point on buying package insurance if no one is going to honor it. So buyer beware. Please do research on companies prior to purchasing any items or using them. read more

I must have chatted with her at least five or six times while trying to find chandeliers for a 16' ceiling and another for a 20' ceiling. She did not hesitate to call the manufacturer to obtain additional chain and facilitated the rewiring of one of our chandeliers. She was a delight to work with! Ordered a stair wall light via their website. Firstly, it was shipped/sold by a third party and not them. Once it arrived, I realized I had ordered the wrong light, and called customer service to ask to send it back. The customer service representative was unhelpful, bordering on rude. He could not advise me what part number I should have ordered and said that I should call the manufacturer not them for advice. He also told me that they couldn't issue a refund and that they needed to get the ok from the manufacturer to do so. Told me to wait to hear back from them with a return code. Do yourself a favor and buy locally. Just bought two overhead vanity lights. Installer just installed and they do don't illuminate my bathroom bright enough. We old schoolers are used to Wattage not lumens. Since they are installed less than an hour ago. They will not return them because they were installed. Go to your local store to get a fixture. I ordered 5 pendant lights and 1 bathroom vanity light for our basement on 4/23. This was from craftmadefansolutions.com, "brought to you by the 1StopLighting.com network" (and their customer service answers the phone as 1StopLighting). All items showed in stock and would be shipped within 24-48 hours. The email said "So far so good, we received your order request smoothly! The next step in the journey is for the warehouse to pull the product for shipment. At this point all you need to do is sit back and wait for our shipment update!" Fast forward a week. I call on 4/30 having heard nothing. After 70 minutes on hold I was assured that my order would be shipping out that day, but no explanation for why the 24 to 48 hours was not met. I never heard from them again, but finally on 5/3 got a text from FedEx that there was a package headed toward my address (as I have my address enrolled with FedEx directly). Logged back in to find out that it was indeed this order, but never got any shipment update from the company. Finally on 5/6 my order arrives. Make that part of my order. The bathroom vanity light. 0 of 5 pendant lights. Even though the order status page shows that the entire order was delivered under the same tracking number. Call customer service again. Got through pretty quickly, after explaining what was going on they put me on hold for about 20 minutes, finally came back on and told me that they called the manufacturer and were told that they quit making the pendant light! So 3 weeks after ordering I find out I'm not getting the product. They offered to refund the purchase price of the lights I didn't receive. How generous! But absolutely refused to do anything else. No partial refund for the other light. No discount towards ordering something else (they did offer to connect me to sales to shop for different lights but I was too furious with them by this time). Other than that, nothing. The customer service guy said he would send something to his manager to see if they could do anything. But of course I have not heard anything back at all. As a final kicker, today, May 10, the same pendant lights show as in stock and ships within 24-48 hours. Run, run away fast from this company. "In stock" doesn't mean anything, they clearly are just a middleman to shuttle orders to manufacturers and don't keep up with inventory. read more

Went through and charged card. 16 days later cancelled it with no reason but email said shipped. Thank god I looked at fed ex shipping or I would have assumed otherwise. Call customer service, and after 20 minutes on phone they figured out "data error" . "Fixed it" they charged me again. Once again they cancelled order. State wrong number in system for the product. 35 days since first order and still wrong? If you order something from them you may or may not actually get your product even after multiple attempts. The actual cost of product once they (if ever fix it) ended up being 15 buck more than multiple competitors. Best just go to them and not risk the waste of your time. read more

Within 30 days of receiving our low-voltage LED landscape light, our landscape contractor who has installed thousands of this model of LED low-voltage light, installed the light on a low-voltage line containing other of the exact make and model of light on a low voltage line coming from a new transformer. All lights work properly, except the light purchased from this dealer. Also within the customary 30-day return window, we contacted this dealer to request a return-merchandise authorization form so we could send the defective merch back to the dealer to obtain a refund or exchange. The dealer refused, and instead, insisted we (in our case, our landscape contractor, because we are too old and unable to try to troubleshoot ourselves). The customer service rep insisted "we messed with the wiring", when in fact, no wiring is necessary to connect a low voltage light to a low voltage line that is properly working. Rather than accepting the return, this dealer wants me to pay double the value of the product to hire our contractor to come back out to troubleshoot the dealer's defective merchandise. We believe this dealer, whose role it is to act as a "middle-man" between a manufacturer and the consumer, is ripping off the consuming public by insisting that THEIR customer (us) contact THEIR vendor (the manufacturer) to deal with defective merchandise WE bought from THEM (not the manufacturer). If we buy a defective car that requires a repair, the car dealership does not tell me to drive to Detroit to speak to Ford. They also don't say, if you drive it off the lot and then requires repair, we are not responsible. The dealership takes care of me. In fact, that is the role of the dealer. We believe this Kitchler dealer is purposefully making it so difficult and costly for us and other unsuspecting consumers, we drop the matter and go away. This dealer insisted (because the product was determined to be defective immediately after it was installed), we were not entitled to return it for a refund or replacement. We were instructed it wasn't their problem if we took it out of the box to see if it worked--and we would have to deal directly with the manufacturer (that does not sell product directly to the consumer)--or hire a contractor to troubleshoot a product that cost $144.44 before tax, they are effectively ensuring we will just go away and leave them and their profit alone. I believe my customer service rep (Elle) was trained to prevent elderly consumers like me from receiving a refund on defective products they heavily advertise online directly to consumers. Considering that Kitchler does not sell direct to consumers, it is transparently obvious this "authorized" Kitchler dealer is avoiding paying a refund by them making it impossible to comply with their return policy that says, "What's better than getting a great deal and a fixture you love? Knowing that if it doesn't work out, you're still covered! That's why we try to make returns as easy and straight forward as possible. Please read our return policy below so you know what to expect and who pays return shipping (it's either us or you)." Guess what, folks? It didn't work out! The policy goes on to read, "You can return most items (including Kitchler products) within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in their original packaging and condition (items can't be installed or altered) to be accepted." So, how do you know you have a defective light fixure if you (or your contractor) does not install it? You don't. You discover a defect in a light fixure when it's installed and it doesn't work. We insisted we have the original packaging and we were within the 30-day window of delivery of the product, but Elle wasn't having any part of us. Just "NO". She was VERY well trained indeed. read more

Called to order a down rod for my Fanimation ceiling fan. The fan is already installed but with a very short down rod. Told them the model name and size and my ceiling height .She said she looked it up and then processed my order. Well they sent the wrong one and will not accept a return because I'm a few days over their 30 day return, and another person there said it was a clearance item and cannot be returned. (I had to wait for the electrician to fit me in). When he took the fan down he advised me that the down rod I bought was wrong so he went out and bought the right one (threaded). I can't believe a simple down rod is on clearance. It is a 12" silver, very common. I paid $20 for the thing. Not exactly a clearance price. Got the right one at Home Depot for $10 Nice customer service 1Stop....I'll never buy another thing from you. read more

I ordered two sets of these heaters from 1 Stop Lighting via Amazon. I placed an order for the black fascia heaters but they sent the stainless steel heaters. To top it off, one of the heaters didn't work AT ALL! When I complained to Amazon, they told me the correct orders were sent to 1 Stop Lighting and I should call them directly. When I spoke to 1 Stop Lighting, they told me that they would not take back the SS heaters and send the black heaters I ordered. 1 Stop Lighting blatantly refused to take back the defective heater, stating I needed to work with their technical team to repair a BRAND NEW HEATER! I am currently out my original purchase price of the four heaters plus an additional $500 to return the heaters. 1 Stop Lighting's mantra states customer service is their number one priority. CLEARLY IT IS NOT! I'm currently disputing these charges with my credit card company. read more

I had a wonderful experience with 1stoplighting. Im a designer and ordered two sconces for either side of a clients' bed. It was a discontinued item so I understood going in that stock was very limited. The order came quickly, just a couple days. One item had some scratches in the finish. The CS team bent over backwards to make sure I received a replacement quickly. I understood that there might not even be enough stock to fill a replacement order, but the CS team found the item. I will never do business with1StopLighting again. I ordered several light fixtures from them with the intention of choosing 2-3 for a property I bought. The website does not provide a simple return process so I called their number and the recording states if this is in regards to an existing order, to go to the website's help desk to initiate a return request which takes you to a 3rd party site so I did that. It took a few days or so to receive an email from their 3rd party site and the person asked me if I installed the items and if they were in the original packaging and I stated I did not install the items and they were in the original packaging and I would like to return them. I never received another response from this person. I subsequently received 2 more emails from 2 other people over the next few days asking me the same questions and I respond to them and never get a follow up to process my returns. I called 1StopLighting twice over the course of 2 days and chose the option to place a new order and of course, you get a live person. I explained to this person how frustrating it was with this whole experience, He transfers me to Princess who never acknowledges my frustrations and continuously talks over me. She sends me several emails with return instructions for 2 out of the 5 sets of fixtures I need to return. I receive 4 emails with RGA #s for the same light fixture instead of one for each of the 5 different fixtures I want to return so I call her again the next day and again, she does not acknowledge my frustrations and the extremely poor customer service 1StopLighting gives to their customers and continues to talk over me. I tell her to listen to me and explain that after waiting to receive the documentation I need to return these fixtures for apx. a week or so I need to receive the RMA #s ASAP so finally I receive the 5 RMA #s I need to return all of these fixtures in which you are responsible for paying return shipping for. I found the outdoor fixtures I wanted locally, but was told it would be a 2-3 month wait for delivery. I checked various websites and luckily the fixtures I wanted were to be found at 1StopLighting. I spoke with a very helpful sales agent who found the fixtures for me at far less cost than my local store ( including free shipping). I awaited the OK from my HOA and called 1StopLighting again to place my order, which was to arrive in 3 days. It was a 5 day wait and 1StopLighting refunded me $25 due to a late delivery! Everything about my purchase from beginning to delivery ( packed with care) was perfect. I highly recommend 1StopLighting and will definitely use them again for my lighting needs. read more

Very bad experience, lost close to $1,000 (6 outdoor Livex lamps and install labor). Last year, we bought 6 Livex brass outdoor lamps and after 1 year they start to tarnish badly under dry CA inland weather (60mi away from ocean); even the 2 not touch by sun/rain. 1stopLght simply indicated that Livex will not do anything; thus my loss. 1stopLght sells very low quality or maybe even after market lamps. Normal use they should last at least 10 years. read more

Wow. Where do I start? Most definitely the worst 'customer service' I have ever received. No interest in even pretending to help customers! Purchased the lights that were advertised as being in-stock on 11/5. They didn't ship until 5 days later. When they were received, they were ALL incorrect. No serial numbers matched up. The order was totally botched. Then, try to reach them online or by phone -- impossible! Have been calling and writing since yesterday, as the painters are scheduled to install the lights on Saturday. Today alone I have been on hold for more then 67 minutes! That's right...read it again -- 67 minutes!! You never do reach 1Stop. There is an operator who CANNOT HELP YOU who tells you he will transfer your call, and then you are in indefinite limbo. I truly believe they have absolutely no intention of ever picking up! They tell you to try to manage your issues online, but they are totally non-responsive to that as well. Non-existent customer service, slow mailing times, incorrect fulfillment, ...how many more ways could they have botched this order? read more

1stoplighting has THE WORST customer service! I ordered two chandeliers from them back in late September for total of $2500. The day after I ordered the fixtures, I got an email from them stating that at the time I placed the order, their inventory system showed stock available, however the lights recently went out of stock. The back-order date was November 4th. On their website, the have an in stock guarantee. If you order a product and the item ends up on backorder, they give you $100 back. That seems like a pretty awesome thing to do to compensate their customers for their inconvenience. Unless of course, like 1stoplighting, you choose not to honor it. I spoke to their customer service line today to ask them to apply the guarantee and was told the item doesn't qualify. Why? Because the item was out of stock when I ordered it, she said. I explained that wasn't true and even had an email from them stating that the item was in stock when I ordered it and apologizing that it was now out of stock. We went around in circles and essentially, they're just not going to honor their own policy. For a credit intended to keep customers happy despite inconveniences, it has had the opposite result. I will not be purchasing any additional products from this company. There are far too many places to buy lights without having to deal with backorders, delayed shipments and non-existent customer service. I bought two lamps online with them. First, my charge card would not go through. I had to call them (wait 20 minutes) and then process the sale. The prices are great here but BE CAREFUL. I spent $568 on lamps, they didn't look good. The color was different from the pictures so I wanted to return it. I had to pay for shipping. The boxes are big so it cost me $150. At the bottom of the ad in a place that is hard to see, it says no restocking fee, 100 % secure and low price guarantee. I missed no free returns. The agent said that because I had a $125 off the price, I did not get free return shipping. TERRIBLE!!!! When I tried to process the return online, the instructions provided did not have a label or address to send it, just a name of a person. So, I called. Again, on hold for over 20 minutes. Finally got someone, he emailed me new instructions with the address...but forgot the zip code. Had to get that. Also, the instructions say that you cannot write on the box but there are address labels to me all over the box!!! TERRIBLE PURCHASING EXPERIENCE AND TERRIBLE RETURN EXPERIENCE. read more

I purchased an LED bathroom fixture about two years ago, and the LED burned out. I contacted the company about a warranty replacement in mid-April. Despite the company's assurances my replacement will be shipped out, I have still not received it four months later. Ordered a ceiling fan on 10/19, with guaranteed three-day delivery. When I hadn't received any shipping info by 10/21, I reached out to them. They claimed that it had taken 48 hours to verify my credit card, and that I would receive shipping info by 10/22. (I checked with my bank, and the purchase charge was processed on 10/19.) I received an email with FedEx tracking info on 10/23, indicating that my ceiling fan would be delivered on the 24th. It wasn't. I just checked FedEx again, and now their system says a shipping record was opened, but that they are waiting for the package to be provided to them. I sent them an email this morning (10/26) asking where my order was, and asking that they apply the $25 refund guaranty to my credit card. They just now responded that they have no idea why the initial order was not filled, and assured me that I "should have an update with tracking in the next 48-72 hours". So, I'm right back where I was a week ago. And they ignored my request for the $25. I'm not sure whether to conclude that they are incompetent or dishonest. I strongly recommend shopping elsewhere. read more
