I'm a Designer, I tried this site for the first time and I won't be back. My time is worth more than wasting over an hour on ineffective non-existent Customer Service. Very difficult to even get a live human on the line for Customer Service. BTW there's no live agent at "Live Chat". The site keeps you on the chat line as "next in line", then drops you after 25 minutes. I needed to return a light package I bought for a ceiling fan that turned out to be incompatible with the fan and replace it with the correct one. After twice wasting time with "Live Chat" I tried the phone line again. After 30 minutes on hold, I gave up, ate the cost of the first light package (I'll donate to Habitat for Humanity) and ordered the new, more expensive one from Lumens.com read more

I placed an order that was marked as fully delivered however half of the items were missing and never received. I have had no luck with their customer service third party provider, they website chat bot or other attempts to speak with someone to resolve this issue. It's quite frustrating! I've gone through their systems as they defined them but have received zero responses back. This company has gone downhill. I've had to return a few lamps because of defects or have my invoices adjusted because the discounts either were not applied or not applied correctly. The reps must be people with poor math skills working in customer service. At one point, one of the reps told me that partial refunds do not include sales tax, which is complete BS and fraud! I've had to write to them repeatedly to get the refunded amounts corrected and am sick and tired of doing so. Will use another company from now on. Hope you all see what Stephanie is trying to do here, which is make it appear that the customer is petty by complaining about a less than $2 price difference. In fact, the total adjustments I've had to have made have amounted to well over $100. If 1Stoplighting hired competent representatives who knew how to calculate partial refunds and include the sales tax along with them, you'd be saving people like me a lot of time and headache. read more

Ann adequately handled a cancellation/return request that another person in her position failed to adequately address the previous day. I had ordered Capital Lighting outdoor sconces from them. The order didn't ship for 5 days, then I tried getting in touch with them, there is no phone number for Support. There was one guy in sales who asked me to get in touch with support but support is only available using Chat on their website, and that too was not available during their working hours. There are many reputable companies out there that will stand behind their policy. I purchased Generation Lighting - Syll - 6 Light Bath Vanity end of January. The item arrived with the glass being damaged. I called 1stoplighting.com right away to notify that glass is damaged. I got a confirmation that the replacement glass will arrive in 2 days. 10 days gone by and I haven't received any replacement glass, I call them again. Ann from 1stoplighting.com told me that the glass is not available until end of March and they will send me a replacement unit instead. Again, 10 days gone by and I haven't received anything from this company. I called them again. Extremely rude customer service rep Gerard said that they can not send me a replacement unit even though their site shows they have 41 of this particular light in stock. The only option www.1stoplighting.com is offering at this point to wait over 10 weeks to receive a replacement glass. This is ridiculous. I requested to speak to a manager to make it right, however the rep said I can not speak to a manager if this is in regards to my current order since I will get the same answer. At this point I have no choice then open a chargeback with my credit card company since www.1stoplighting.com is refusing to resolve the issue. I spent countless hours dealing with this company to get a replacement glass that arrived damaged. Unfortunately, they refused to send the replacement glass as they stated it will arrive in 2 days. Please be aware, if you purchase anything from www.1stoplighting.com, and if there is a issue - you will go through a nightmare and wont get any resolution. We ordered a lantern in black and received bronze. There is no way for them to track anything or provide you with any sort of customer service resolution. The prices fluctuate by the min making it impossible to pin point their own advertised info, this works to their advantage beacuse since their system does not provide them with relevant or up to date info, they cannot help you do anything excpet return the product with refund being 10% less the purchase price for "shipping". Their customer service is useless but also the kind of unpleasant that just makes me wonder how businesses like this can function even for a bit. Jhonjon Vestido is a special example of this. He was rude, defensive and condesending. His exact words were, "that he could not help us cause he was not GOD." Which is really a terrible excuse and not really as informative as he prob thought. I was given a ship date of Aug. 2 despite the fact that their own website says the item will ship Aug. 22, and other retailers have a ship date in Oct. My invoice has disappeared from their website. I cannot get to a customer service person - they only have a bot. In order to chat, one must agree to a privacy policy without seeing it, and I will not do this. I ordered this ceiling fan to replace a 24 year old fan that had developed a humming noise that was loud enough to make us turn the fan off. The new fan was at least as noisy as the one it replaced.
