The brisket was quite fatty, overcooked, and cut with the grain, and the pork ribs were dry with lots of silver skin. All of the meats tasted a lot better with the addition of Smokey Bones' homemade BBQ sauces, of course; and I really liked their spicy option. I would have to say that I was disappointed with the sides all the way around. The portion sizes are quite small, and that might have been OK if they were really good, but they weren't. The "BBQ Baked Beans" were not at all what comes to mind when I hear that name -- they were not sweet at all, but rather had a chili-like flavor to them. The bits of pulled pork in the beans were a nice touch, but the flavor just wasn't there. My son really liked his pulled pork sandwich after he figured out he needed to add his own BBQ sauce, although it would be nice to have the option of adding cole slaw to it. My daughter loved her all-beef hot dog meal, and really wants to go back again sometime soon. Which means we will be giving them another try before too long...
