I'm a HUGE fan of Louisiana soul food, everything about it just warms my heart. Currently my fiancé and I are expecting and since I cannot eat boils I have to resort to other things-catfish (and the baby certainly was okay with this choice)! When we first parked and walked in to the restaurant we personally did not enjoy how tightly packed it was and how all eyes were on us as soon as we walked in. There was no dedicated spot to do to-go orders so we sat at the bar and placed our order. Other than the crowded seating situation I really enjoyed seeing and feeling the New Orleans vibes the whole culture is beautiful to me and I really enjoy seeing it around here. The wait was no issue and the prices are very reasonable especially for the amount you receive! I really should've took pictures-but me and the little one were starving we just couldn't wait! We ordered the Catfish Basket, Spinach Artichoke Dip and Big Easy Combo (roast beef poboy and gumbo) which were all excellent, fresh and so filling! Man, was this a great find! Yelp allowed us to find this place and I thought we had fallen into the bayou. Perfectly executed Louisiana cuisine. We had the etouffee balls - freakin awesome! Think hushpuppies with creamy crawfish in there. We also had some roasted oysters and some beautifully fried shrimp and fish. Found this place while doing some back-to-school clothes shopping on tax-free weekend. Had good reviews and we love Cajun food, so we gave it a go. The service was really good, and fast. The menu has a lot of good options. We went with the shrimp boil, the fried shrimp basket with cole slaw, and to start, the zydeco shrimp, which is fried shrimp with a really good sauce. Shrimp. Shrimp. More shrimp. Everything was good. The shrimp were just a tad over cooked, but the flavor of everything was on point. After eight hours of driving, we were in town for one night. What incredible luck to find 2 Crazy Fellas! Tasty spinach artichoke dip, the chips served with it were I believe some Tostitos. The Tostitos kinda took away from the spinach dip for me because they were so salty-but I realize that they are probably a more cost effective and less laborious thing to serve with it. Husband said his shrimp po'boy was great. And we both agreed that their French fries were very good. I ordered a half dozen seasoned broiled oysters-unfortunately it was difficult to actually taste the flavor of the oysters due to the absolutely overwhelming amount of VERY SALTY seasonings. I was able to scrape enough off of the other oysters to enjoy the seasoning, parmesan cheese and oysters after the mistake of eating the first one as presented. There was a tiny piece of toasted baguette which accompanied the oysters.. It was my favorite part of the dish because I was able to dip the bread into the briney yet slightly seasoned essence from each oyster to get the taste of the shellfish for which I had been seeking. Had a nice cup of gumbo as well. Service was attentive, quick, and very welcoming. The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. This was our second visit. There will definitely be more. Just hope that kitchen is a bit less heavy handed with the sirracha(so much to the point it left a bitter aftertaste) and let the seafood flavor come through by maybe adjusting overseasoning. Eldest son once again was asking for fish sticks, and his brother agreed, so we decided to head off to 2 Crazy Fellas for some fish sticks with a Cajun flair. Now obviously the fish isn't "fish sticks" but breaded catfish filets but you get the point. We began the evening with the alligator sausage plate. It came with a good amount of sausages slices and a lot of cheese chunks. Plus the requisite pickles and peppers. Eldest son went for a catfish basket with fries, hush puppies, and slaw. Youngest had "choose 2" - catfish and fried oysters (it's June so don't do raw shellfish in summer months). I had a side Caesar salad and a bowl of seafood étouffe. We all shared from each others plates so I'm comfortable on saying that everyone's food was very good! Of note is the French fries, they are cooked nicely and very well seasoned. The bowl of étouffe is FILLING so if you're wondering if it'll fill you up the answer is a resounding "ugh omg my belt needs to be loosened" . Our waitress was quick and efficient, kept our beverages topped off (and offered lids and to go cups at the end of the evening) and checked in on us often to see how we were doing. Inside the restaurant is decorated in a Mardi Gras type motif. There are a few TVs on the wall above the counter but the volume is muted so it isn't crazy loud. Overall the restaurant isn't loud either, which is something I look for as my eldest is often overwhelmed by loud environments. He did just fine here at 2 Crazy Fellas. They carry beers from a local place - Mississippi Ale House. I didn't order a beer (had sweet tea) but it seemed like the beer ordering process isn't exactly straight forward, there's a QR code and/or an app???? The family and I came off the recommendation of my good sister/friend, she and I share eateries on tha regular so I trust any place she recommends. Its in a building smaller than expected but considering the limitations due to covid, I'm sure it's just the right size. Anywho, its a creole menu. N I admit. I dont eat oysters but these looked n smell/lack of delicious. We got nachos for an appetizer.. they were scrumptious, like really good.. crispy kettle chips, the zydeco flavor with crawfish, sausage, melted cheese.. pickled onions, yup, very memorable.. My combo fried shrimp n catfish was yummy. I have no complaints. Its real catfish. Its seasoned good n fried in fresh grease.. My only regret is I didn't get the bananas foster!! read more

Tried for a time to order online and it kept saying online service not available . Called and was told they were extremely busy with 2 large parties and had to turn ordering off. Was told to try again in 10 minutes and she would turn service back on or for us to call back and order by phone . Online ordering never turned back on so called and they had turned their phones off. Said number you were calling is not available at this time . If this establishment is that busy then they need to move to a bigger building and hire more staff because that is horrible customer service . read more

The four star rating is purely for their raw oysters!!!!! The raw oysters were so fat and juicy and FRESH!! Plus their cocktail sauce is nice and spicy. They weren't really cleaned the best, there was definitely shell and hard pieces in some bites so be careful to really check them before you slurp. I'd avoid their cooked oysters. We got the crazy fellas and they were not good at all. The bacon is definitely some type of Turkey bacon, it added no flavor or texture to the oysters. The parm was dry. There was barely any garlic butter/garlic flavor. The bread that came with the oysters had more flavor than the oysters themselves. Our server could have been better. She didn't really check on us, we had to grab someone else to ask for napkins and plates. Overall experience for the restaurant is a 2-3, but the raw oysters are the biggest and freshest I've had not by the water so they get a 4 by themselves. read more

After enjoying their food from their truck for the past several months, I was delighted to hear they opened a brick-and-mortar establishment. These fellas have some of the best food in the midsouth! I get the voodoo nachos everytime; the Zapps chips really take nachos to the next level. The fried shrimp is also pretty good but I prefer the Cajun shrimp with corn. Tonight I decided to try the shrimp etoufee and Cajun fried turkey poboy tonight. The turkey sandwich was moist and flavorful and the etoufee was simply awesome. The king-cake bread pudding is one of my favorite desserts in the area as well. They also have TVs there to watch sports or whatever. If you have the opportunity to go, do so! I will also say I appreciate that there is pretty ample space between tables and the servers are all wearing masks. During these crazy COVID times, I do appreciate when a business takes precautions seriously and puts their best foot forward to protect their employees and patrons.
