You absolutely have to see a film at the Old Town Music Hall!!!!…read more We went for my partners birthday and it was so exciting to see the 100 year old Wurlitzer in all its glory. We saw a rare Gloria Swanson silent film along w a talk by a brilliant film historian. Every show opens with a little performance but we were lucky enough to see a silent film which means that the organist live scores the entire film just as it would have been done in the 20s ! Such a special experience, and a must for any fans of music, film, and LA history.

I'm constantly going to revival and old theaters like The Egyptian, New Beverly, and Aero theatre and wanted to add this one to the rotation. Essentially, they transport you back in time to the early 20th century when movie theaters started taking off! And not just about the old films they show, we're talking OG Dr. Pepper in a glass bottle and lobby cards and photos on the wall. A giant Wurlitzer organ where our organist started off the night's festivities with a few words of history and a few songs on the organ. We even did some sing-alongs lol. Everyone in the red vests are volunteers keeping this running. You can sense the deep passion they all have for preserving this history and a deep love of cinema. Got a brochure calendar for showings through June and will now make sure I come out at least once a month.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL ABOUT DOING BUSINESS WITH INGLEWOOD TICKETS…read more I gave Inglewood Tickets a total of 16 tickets on consignment for last weekend's Fireworks Finale at Hollywood Bowl. The receipt provided to me stated that I would be advised of any sales that were made for the Friday and Sunday concerts. When I called on Friday I was told that only 4 of the tickets were sold at that time. I lost almost 10 dollars on each of those 4 tickets. I picked up the rest of the Friday tickets. THIS COMPANY IS UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST. Inglewood Tickets website has an incorrect email address, and it does not advise that the place is closed on Sundays. The voicemail message says they are open from 10am to 7pm; again nothing about being closed on Sundays. I have left numerous voicemail messages, and only got one call back, after it was too late to use my tickets. I lost more than $200 on the tickets for the Sunday Hollywood Bowl concert, because they were evidently not sold and no effort was made to let me know or give them back to me. The manager, Charles, called me on Monday and said that because there was a miscommunication, he would refund me half of the money I lost. HE DID NOT REIMBURSE ANY OF MY LOSS. When I went there yesterday, Charles told me he was comfortable with his decision to change his mind. I told him I was comfortable with what I was about to do. I AM PUTTING THIS ON BLAST: This company is NOT worth doing business with, whatsoever.

I contacted the owner Charles who was very rude, did not try to work with me at all but did keep my money and refused to give me a refund so be very careful the tickets are overpriced you do better at Ticketmaster or Goldstar tickets, Inglewood Tickets sells the tickets way over the price of actual ticket, he is some street Hustler, hustling tickets online!!! What can I say about LAX that hasn't already been said?…read more The Los Angeles International Airport is the largest airport in the region with the most flight options due to the number of airlines/routes. It also tends to offer lower priced domestic and international tickets, in most cases. For this reason, there is always a high volume of people who pass through LAX on a daily basis. So, plan accordingly! Although I have arrived less than 2 hours before departure to an international flight, I do not recommend it. Sometimes I've barely made it to my flight due to long TSA lines. If you plan to dine/shop at LAX, give yourself an additional couple of hours. Service is not always timely, so you don't want to be stuck waiting to close out a check or waiting in line to be rung up. Lastly, keep in mind that some dining/shopping options might be available in a specific terminal or in arrivals or departures and you can't easily go in between these areas. All in all, LAX is a powerhouse and with it comes good and bad. Keep your expectations realistic and give yourself more time than you think you'll need in order to have the best possible outcome while you're here. Happy travels!

This is probably one of the worst airports to fly out of. It's constantly busy. It's hard to get in…read moreand out. The parking prices are pretty high starting out at $60 per day. If you have the choice, I would fly out of Burbank, Ontario or Long Beach. The wait times for TSA are really long and super strict. Make sure you check the TSA guidelines to ensure items you bring are allowed on your carry-on bag. Empty water bottles are allowed. You can fill them up after getting checked by TSA. There are refill stations near the bathrooms. I would avoid buying the food at the airport since it's so expensive try to pack a snack or have a meal before.
