Also a nice homemade breakfast was served on the morning we were leaving. Very nice. The king bed in St. Michael's Room was very comfortable and the private bath was acceptable. A few of the older light fixtures were dodgy. There are dining options just down Main street in Madison. We had a meal in town. Typically we stay for more than one night and the town seemed nice enough for a longer stay. JLD Lanier owner architect of this B&B and also the Lanier Mansion. Unfortunately we did not have time to stop by that historic site. The house has some history as a stop on the Underground RR according to the innkeeper. Each room is beautifully decorated with fireplaces and private baths. The upstairs has a large outdoor porch and the home is surrounded by two large verandas with outdoor tables, chairs and porch swings.

I've always had a vision of camping out with our closest friends for the wedding weekend and this was the best way to do it. Our entire wedding party and close family were able to stay on the property, anything that went "wrong" on the big day was saved by Richwood and our coordinator. Each staff member was attentive with quick responses and transparency throughout the process. Everyone at Richwood understands that weddings are often the most important day in the couple's life and puts in the extra effort to make the day easy and carefree. Also- a huge bang for your buck! The quiet country setting was the perfect backdrop for a weekend of mindfulness, meditation, and conversations. We loved being able to use the pool, the carriage house for breakout events, and even walk along the river front on the path across from the B&B. It feels remote because it's on top of a hill but you are just a couple minutes drive from downtown! The beds are so comfortable, we slept like rocks every night. The fountain in the sitting area, the beautiful art and furniture all over the space make it absolutely perfect. The space is totally separate from the main part of the house, we almost forgot it was there. Tom and Chandra are so accommodating and at one point asked us for feedback to make the place better, and we couldn't think of one single thing we would add or change (and I'm always very opinionated!). Madison is a great little town, we loved exploring the shops, the river (a new friend took us out on his amazing boat, the people here are so friendly) and the restaurants. It almost reminds you of a southern town like Savannah or New Orleans (but CLEAN!). Thank you, Tom and Chandra, can't wait to come back!!

We rented the private cottage and it was cute- nothing fancy at all but we enjoyed the view of the vineyards from the screened in porch and it was quiet and relaxing. As far as the wines go- they are sweet and fruity and to be honest not very good. If you go to Madison, I recommend renting a spot here but getting your wine elsewhere.

me and my wife rented a queen suite for a weekend getaway but were very disappointed by a few…read morethings for a $215 room I expected a lot more the first of all we found like 4 huge centipedes in our room and the hotel claims to have an indoor pool and hottub which were closed upon arrival with no explanation with an outdoor pool down the road that closed at 5:45 keep in mind check in wasn't till 4 the tv in the room was Not able to connect to the WiFi nor was I able to connect to the WiFi at all regardless of us trying to do it the way the manual instructed so we had no tv which Was one of the perks of the room the room was also torn up bath drainplug was just torn out of the bath and I had to figure out how to get it back in a few cabinet handles were broken and holes in the wall behind the bed the hotel was advertised as a super nice inn but all in all it was kind of sketchy and poor quality the room was spacious and private and the bath and shower were nice but thats abt it no tv no pool no WiFi and bugs
