They also stopped on the way at a furniture store and picked up additional furniture. Drove to my new location and unloaded everything in less than 2 hours. Travis is an absolute professional and strategic in placing items in the truck to maximize usage. Bruce is a joy and charming as charming can be. Quan is an absolute gentleman and wrapped everything meticulously. These guys are awesome. I could not have made this move without them.

The crew basically shrugged and said "sorry" as they did not have tools on hand to pull and fix a stripped screw, leaving me SOL. This may have been a two-star event as the rest of the move was great. However, there were lighting fixtures lining the sidewalk that they pulled and after the fact, I noticed some of the stakes were broken. These were left piled up and not re-inserted in ground. The crew was definitely in a hurry to leave.

But when we met Brad for our walk-through/quote, our concerns were put at rest. He was detailed, honest, and it was evident that he had a lot of experience. Overall, everyone in the company was responsive and easy to work with. Our moving team leader was James who was great to work with. He and his team helped us pack our "breakables" even in the midst of a tropical storm. Overall, the team was efficient, hard-working, and happy. They loaded everything on a Friday and arrived the following Tuesday. (They do not work on the weekends fyi.) To our knowledge, nothing was broken! Moving is so hard, but they made it as seamless as possible. We would highly recommend them!

It caused us some inconvenience when they said they won't be able to unload and unpack same day. So we spent the night without any furniture, clothes, or anything for the kitchen. As it was all stored overnight in their truck. The crew of 6 were friendly, did their work and hustled. They were responsive to our needs and always polite. We appreciated that. However what didn't work well for us is that we lost a cabinet in the move that they dropped and it got damaged! Post the move we also spotted a few prominent damages to our furniture like a full chip off our brand new mango wood breakfast table, a rip near the leg of our living room loveseat. Chips off night stands. And skid marks near the door trimming and hardwood Floors. The prominent one was the sliding door new closet cabinet that we just cannot use because of the crack and breakage at the top and back entirely. They need to take better care with the move especially when the crew changes hands to finish the job. And if you're considering them make sure you double check and verify how long will it take and cost upfront. We were told one thing and what ended up happening was different.

I was looking at several moving companies in the Triangle for a long-distance move across multiple state lines, and after speaking with Sapphira, I knew Raleigh Moving Company would be my choice. She was so professional and informative, and I was really impressed when she told me that the company employs their movers full-time, and that many of the movers have worked for the company for years. The company is easy to get ahold of when you have questions, and everyone there is communicative and helpful. Sapphira was so helpful in coordinating logistics and answering complicated questions, and was so gracious and flexible when I had to change my move date. We also did a virtual walk-through the day before my move, so that she could be sure the team was fully ready for everything the following day. My movers were Travis and Wilson. Wow -- what a team!!! They were so professional, so courteous, and very experienced. It was clear that they really knew what they were doing, and that they were invested in the success of my move and in making sure I was happy with everything. I ordered a Pod to store my belongings while my new home is being built so I made an appointment with Athens. The team was extremely professional and made sure to take great care of the items they were moving. The furniture was wrapped, no marks on the walls or any damage to the house. They made it look easy. I know it's not or I would have done it myself. Maybe the most impressive part of the experience is the way Pharaoh thoughtfully packed the pod. His Tetris skills were on point and packed items to prevent shifting or damage during transport. I will be requesting this crew in a couple of months to move into the new home.

I scheduled the move on relatively short notice and they were on top of providing a quote and getting everything together. The day of the move they showed up right on time. They managed to pack up the entire house in under 2 hours, and they did so with care and attention to detail. They made sure to explain each thing they were doing and to check in with me regularly. They wrapped everything, made sure to check in about anything that was fragile and were scrupulous. They pointed out when they found spare change lying around and made sure to bring it to my attention. They were done with the packing up before I could believe it! The move itself was carefully coordinated-- they took the time to check in regularly about where they were and how long it would take to arrive. They managed to unload everything and get it into the right places in the house in under an hour. They were careful with each and every item. After they unloaded everything they went carefully through the bill and the items to make sure everything was to my satisfaction (they came in perfectly as quoted without any shenanigans in the slightest--not my experience with other movers) and explained that their policy let me get in touch and receive compensation for us to 9 months if I found anything had gone wrong. They were professional and friendly at all time---a real joy to work with. Moving is incredibly stressful. Having done it often, I know that one of the things that makes it so is the sense that its very hard to tell if you are getting honest, excellent careful movers, and frightening to entrust all your things to strangers.
