The line is LONG, and I mean out of the plaza itself, it kind of blocks other cars from getting out, and creates traffic. Other than that, you go by quickly, they get your order immediately by your window, and you keep pulling up until the drive through. I am from the Portland area and was looking for a coffee shop to go to. I found Mercurys Coffee on Apple Maps and decided to give them a try. Pulling into the stand, I was immediately greeted by a very chill dude. Did not catch his name but he had a really cool beard. He helped me figure out what their menu looked like and was very patient. I'm used to going to black rock or Dutch bros, so I was not sure what to expect. He mentioned all their signature coffee drinks, signature energy drinks, and some classic drinks. It took me a long time to decide but he was very patient throughout the whole interaction. I ended up getting the "inception" which is definitely one of the best energy drinks I've had from a coffee shop. I do want to say that it wad on the sweeter side but I enjoyed it. Rolling up to the window (which isn't really a window and more like a walkway) I was greeted by some friendly staff. They were all very focused so I think that's why it was just a greeting and no small talk. Which is always nice sometimes. I got my drink pretty quickly and a nice lady offered me a coffee bean. It was unexpected but I did not decline. The coffee bean was really good and crunchy. The drink costed me $9.66, which is a bit more than coffee stands back home but it was definitely worth it. The young woman taking my order got way too close like almost in my car window close and then she backed up and leaned her body on my car side mirror....a bit odd and not respectful in my opinion. If you're not my friend or family member why are you leaning on my vehicle... This made me forget to ask for light ice as I was a bit baffled. Service was just weird and made me want to avoid this location as I felt my business didn't matter to them and they didn't respect me or my vehicle. Standard drink, I ordered the iced oat milk matcha and it was okay as I finished the drink. The drive thru is nice and in a good area however I don't see myself returning due to service. I am new to the area and there are not any of these particular coffee shops where I used to live. I decided to check out this one today. I got the Blonde Hawaiian and it was very good! Although I did not order any food, they have a wide variety of items available. I enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere. The barista, Izzy, was very friendly. I grabbed a table to do some work while I had my coffee and she brought me over some chocolate covered coffee beans. I liked these as well, although I am not a huge fan of chocolate covered coffee beans generally speaking. I have a favorite Mercurys Coffee beverage - The Bees Knees Tea Latte, but I always avoid this location because I always see a long line of cars snaking around the parking lot. I somehow really wanted the drink, so I decided to brave the line. Turns out it wasn't that bad. A staff member is outside pre-taking the order (they don't have double windows like a typical drive-through). And we breezed through in a reasonable time. That person outside made a huge difference, but I feel bad for that staff member standing out in the cold breathing in the exhaust. For the first time ever, I took the Bees Knees Tea Latte home to finish. (I am usually out and about.) When I got to the bottom and opened the lid, I was surprised that they throw the entire tea bag into the cup along with string and tag. Two tea bags into the large size. Is that what people do? I remember the tea bag tag dangling outside during previous purchases. Anyway, I thought that was a very lazy move. No one drinks tea like this. 4 stars for the overall experience. The coffee is good when they make the correct drink. Last week I ordered oat milk with my latte and noticed after I drove away that it was cow milk. This mistake could be dangerous for someone with a severe cow milk allergy! Today I ordered a vanilla latte with oat milk and this time I could tell that something was off by the color of the drink. I asked the girl if there was oat milk in the drink and she said yes. I took a sip and it was bitter coffee with no oat milk. She made me an americano and lied about the oat milk being in there. Not sure why she couldn't have apologized for making the wrong drink instead of lying. I didn't want to argue with her about making me the wrong drink so I ended up wasting money on the coffee and tip! The drive thru management is awful recently. The people taking orders need to be aware of the gigantic gaps between cars because the backup of other cars in line is all the way on the street. It's always been an issue at this location but recently it's worse. The coffee is amazing but the drive thru is so stressful--and could totally be improved if the order takers just asked the cars to squeeze in as close as they can. Me and my wife we visit the Rosehill location every day. There's not a day that goes by that we're not met with friendly, smiles and great ladies and gents. doesn't matter if it's pouring down rain or if it's 100° out they're always right there to meet us. Kristi and staff has the most fun and really enjoys their jobs, clean and tidy. We are always amazed on the amount of cars that are lined up, but even more amazed by the fast service that they give us those behind us. Tried the blonde Hawaiian coffee with oat milk as it was recommended by my friend but oat milk was my thing so tweaked a bit. Today was our first time trying Mercurys after about a year of living in the area. We keep getting coupons in the mail, so we finally decided to put one to use. :) We liked that they had an efficient two-car line going, along with staff members coming out to the cars to take orders. The worker that took our order today was extremely friendly -- we mentioned it was our first time at Mercurys and she was very helpful and personable. This seems to be a pretty busy location, but we got in and out within 4-5 minutes. I ended up ordering an iced chai with oat milk and sugar-free vanilla, and my boyfriend ordered an iced Dublin cream with oat milk. The drinks came with little coffee candies on top (which was a cute touch). We weren't expecting it, but the drinks themselves were also suuuuuper sweet. I have a tendency to quickly slurp down iced drinks, but because of the sweetness, it took me maybe 30-40+ minutes to finish my drink. I don't know enough about Mercurys, but I'm not sure it's the place to go if you're looking for a classic coffee drink (I could be wrong, ok!?!?). This seems to be the place to come when you're looking for a sweet treat. I'd love to come again and try something a little simpler and more subtle. I'd also probably order the smallest size instead of a medium size. Overall, we had a great experience, but because of the sweetness level, I can't see myself wanting to make this a regular spot for a coffee fix. read more

On a Saturday morning it can be really busy, but the 2 car lines go relatively quickly (a little confusing at first but once you figure out the signage it's fine!). The staff come down to your car to take your order. They all wear masks now which is great. The girl that took my recently over complicated order managed to remember it perfectly! Why a coffee lover would go across the street to get Java is completely beyond me. The menu at Mercury reflects a creative locally owned vibe. The flavor is always spot on. I'm the last few years their business has picked up exponentially--for good reason. When likes are snaking through the parking lot an employee is often taking orders from cars in the line. You just did your grocery shopping at Costco and are headed home. Suddenly you feel like getting a coffee. You see Starbucks on 1 side and this local coffee chain - Mercury's on the other side. Where should you head? The familarity and consistency of starbucks or give this other kid on the block a try? Take my word for it and go to Mercury's - you will never go to Starbucks again! Mercury's isn't really "new". They are a local chain and have been around the area for ages. The kirkland location is a drive-thru only location, with admittedly flawed drive-thru design (the lines get longer and spill onto the street), but the coffee more than makes up for the wait. I have tried most of their Signature drinks - my favorite is Blonde Hawaiian (iced and hot, both are great) - try hot 12oz with double shot, there's nothing like it! They also offer a variety of milk options, including oat milk! Also, don't ever pass on chocolate covered beans, I especially love the dark chocolate one. Overall, their standard coffee's are rich, sweet and creamy, but they are more than accomodating to make the drink to your taste and choice. Try out some of their signatures and see what you like, or just order Blonde Hawaiian! They have a mercury's card as well, that gives you free drinks after every 14 drinks and have load specials (free coffee on re-loading $50). read more

I always see long lines of cars leading into this strip mall with drivers patiently waiting for their drinks. This coffee shop definitely has a large following and I suspect many of the customers appreciate the smallness of this store compared to their big box green and white competitor. Out of curiosity and due to a coupon I decided to give this place a go. We went at an off hour about early afternoon on a weekday. There were definitely less cars however there was still a line. A woman came up to our car to direct us newbies to one of two lines. She was very friendly and unfortunately informed us that cold brew is not a menu item yet which I thought was a little strange. I thought cold brew was a staple drink in all coffee shops. After ordering a vanilla latte and an iced green tea we waited for about 15 minutes inching forward slowly. I think we were in the slow line because cars that were in the back of us that were directed to the other line were served first. Finally when we rolled up to the window I saw two baristas making drinks and they were very cheerful despite the cold and long line of customers waiting for drinks. My iced tea was made to order and it was nice to see someone putting the care into making my tea. The vanilla latte was good and flavorful not watery. However, I actually did not care for the flavor of the green ice tea because it had a heavy scent like cardamom which is weird because I usually have it with black tea. Needless to say I could barely tolerate such a strong smell in a green tea. All in all..the drink is not worth the wait. I probably will return to try the baked goods next time but didn't know about them until we rolled up to the window..too late for the impulse buy. read more
