Sunbright Solar The…read morepurchase process: We purchased solar from Sunbright Solar. We interviewed Dan Schipper for the job around November 2022. We sat on our laurels for a few months. We had it down to two companies, but weren't completely decided on all the specifics. The interview went well. Dan is a no non-sense sales rep. He is respectful to his clients. He gives intelligent answers. He doesn't sugar coat anything. He gives the best sales service that a person can get in any industry. When we put the long pause on the decision process. Many of the solar companies we interviewed tried to pressure sell us. Dan gave us a monthly phone call to find out if we are still interested. He would say something like, "Hi, where are you at in the process? Is everything good?" Then he would inform us about lender rate changes (usually higher) and/or upcoming product improvements. Given the latter, he would recommend we continued to hold off a couple weeks. I never felt bothered or hustled by Dan. Dan is informative, respectful, and keeps you in the loop. Post purchase agreement: Here is where Dan really started to shine. No big project comes without hiccups. Ours was with communication and poor performance with the lender for our bridge loan. They changed our rate after we got locked in. My best understanding to date is that they never actually locked us in, didn't do the paperwork. Then they pushed their error onto us, the borrowers. Dan got on the horn with them, he handheld us and the bank through the process. He did his best to ensure we got a loan at the previous rate. He earned a lot of respect from us over the month that we negotiated our way through it. Installation: Dan knows how to handle his customers needs. Installation came, and we weren't happy with the street view of our panels. They were placed too high. No problem, he had an employee come out within a couple days to make us happy. I got on the roof and looked around. The installation was clean. Warranty: So, we can't get a break here. Apparently, diodes on a solar panel go out at a rate of less than a panel per million. We got one. We have all the usual warranties. The panel company gave us some run around about getting the new panel. Of course, Dan is on it. He spends some of his time to just check on us. He tried to come out on his off day to get some readings. The faulty panel was replaced with a new one. Dan just continues to go above and beyond. Referrals: Sunbright Solar continues to go above and beyond. I referred Sunbright Solar to my father. Dan gave the same great service. We were given a little gift for the referral. Thank you Dan. I've never been happier with a contractor. In fact, I'm usually pretty grumpy with contractors. We're coming up on about 6 months of solar. Everything that could have gone wrong did. Thankfully, Dan was there to help us see it through. I mean wow! The man has your back!Sunbright Solar is the real deal. He contacted the manufacturer, was able to determine that it was still under warranty and was able to get a replacement inverter sent. Very knowledgeable, very honest and courteous. I highly recommend them. This was after two other solar repair companies (with very high ratings) ghosted me for weeks after initial contact.

I was told I would be producing much more than I was using (147% from a more recent conversations with the sales person). and that I wouldn't get an electric bill. Now I am paying $220 a month plus an electric bill. It's costing me more now than it did without solar. I've been trying to get some help/answers but the "manager" isn't in any rush to talk to me about this. The company and the salesperson aren't in communication about this issue. I will say it's only been a few days since I found out all of this. I've gone through three other companies to find this one was my "dealer". Wanting to get this resolved and get the solar I was promised.

Only decades of industry expertise and the calm, confident manner of a fellow who knows what he's talking about. He penciled everything out the old-fashioned way, on a piece of paper with no flashy graphics, or sales tactics that I noticed from "the other guys." His demeanor and excellent value proposed really sold me on the company and then the CEO Jeff delivered beyond expectations. His team was timely and highly professional, even assisted with certain electrical issues that had nothing to do with solar, that is to say they went above and beyond. Jeff has always been responsive, and his follow-through has been impeccable, as he demonstrated when he replaced an under performing panel, without any necessity for me to keep checking in, or any hoops whatsoever to jump through. I couldn't recommend them enough, and I'll certainly be using them again for any solar/home battery/etc needs.

Their service, professionalism, and care for customers really stood out. Unfortunately, things have changed drastically. The new staff particularly the young woman answering the phone is incredibly rude and unpleasant to deal with. She lacks basic customer service skills and makes the entire interaction feel like a chore. It's disappointing, especially knowing how different the experience was under the previous owners.Because of this ongoing negative experience, I've decided to take my business elsewhere.
