I have ordered the paneer tikka breakfast burrito multiple times and while it always takes a long time for them to make their food, it's usually pretty good but as for making a Postmates order they never seem to follow the requests. I know in person they charge extra for extra green salsa and that's fine and every time I ask for extra and mentioning it's okay for the upcharge they never even read it but today I was highly annoyed with mt whole order. Not only was the burrito different this time but there was absolutely no condiments included with the highly salty hashbrowns in it which made the burrito almost unbearable and I couldn't even really taste the tikka masala sauce or whatever. I asked for salsa and they don't have it in their sides menu, which they should but the quality of todays burrito was gross and also it was much smaller than their previous one and it's the exact same burrito I have always ordered. read more

I was in the area and heard about this Indian cafe and wanted to try the vegetarian dishes. The bhel puri was good and wholesome. I ordered the paneer burrito to take home. It comes with paneer cubes, rice and beans with a red and green sauce on the side. The burrito was very filling. What really stood out to me was the service and warmth of the new owner (Megha). She was very warm and let me try the aloo gobi too. The ambiance was decent and the place was clean. There's a patio at the back which will be great on days when it's not hot. I would definitely come back to try the other dishes and I wish the new management the best. read more

We came for lunch with a party of 7 on our way to USC . Don't let the outside location fool you on the quality of this place . Inside you will find a delicious home cooked food served with amazing hospitality. We ordered Vada pav , dosa ( note it's a thin slice of dosa ) , chicken and goat curry with plain naans and puris . Everything was cooked fresh. Filter coffee was the only item that didn't come the way I thought it will. Megha & team run a great restaurant. Good food for what's in the USC area but prices were steep for what's given. The tikka burrito is such an interesting fusion and was pretty good! The chicken was a bit dry but the flavors were so umami and tasty. The naan was also fresh and crispy, but came out a bit later than everything else. I was most excited to see the pani puri and try it for the first time, but a bit surprised by the steep price ($10). The place is a hole in the wall and I would recommend if you want Indian fusion in the area. Service was a tad slow but I was able to catch up with my friend waiting. read more

Their fusion of American, Indian, and Mexican cuisines certainly sounded appealing and odd at the same time, but it wasn't the first time I've eaten such a collaboration (I was fond of the late Cowboys & Turbans in Silver Lake). I loved all three of these types of cuisines, so was it worth the cost of admission to drive out to this unfamiliar part of town for this neighborhood cafe!? PURCHASE Mango Lassi 12floz Cup ($5.00): I loved all-things mango, and I always ordered this whenever I dined at an Indian restaurant. The food was awful, the prices would be comparable if the food was remotely decent, and the service was horrendous (which still gave them too much credit). But it was great! 100% would recommend. I ordered the garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, veggies, samosas, paneer, and chicken masala burrito. All were amazing! I rarely have Indian food but this place hooked me! I'm super impressed. As for parking, parking is easy. There's street parking and a small lot. This place had my favorite food in LA (or maybe anywhere). I read an article a few years ago about four different places in LA that had Indian burritos and eventually tried them all. Unlike the other places, 23rd St Cafe had Indian breakfast burritos. The paneer tikka masala breakfast burrito was a perfect food - creamy, saucy paneer tikka masala, eggs, crispy hashbrowns, and gooey cheese in a large translucent tortilla. After having it once, I only ever ordered this - with the exception of occasionally branching out to the paneer tikka masala quesadilla (also amazing). Yes, it usually took a long time for the food to come out. But it was always amazing, the portions were large, and the price was reasonable. I don't even live in LA but I would go there whenever I was in the area. Unfortunately, it seems the cafe has changed ownership. I went in once earlier this year and they said I couldn't order the breakfast burrito at that time - so I got the quesadilla. It was a little different than usual (different (worse) tortilla, maybe smaller). I went in again in September 2025 and the menu has completely changed - the breakfast burrito and quesadilla were not on it anymore. I asked if I could order the breakfast burrito and was told yes. The price was more expensive than before, but I was just happy it was still available. When I got it, it turns out it was something completely different - paneer, egg, potato, beans, onion and cilantro. Much smaller than before also. The paneer was not in a sauce, and overall the burrito was pretty flavorless. I'm devastated about this change - but want to let everyone know who is looking for those burritos that the menu is no longer the same. read more

This place was an empty warehouse before it turned into a cafe. Needless to say, it remains part of the community. A great location to grab a bite or settling in to study for that upcoming exam. Great joint right? Wrong! First time I came in after a few years, the young woman attending the cash register was snooty and didn't even wait for me to put my bag down before she rushed at me telling I need to buy something if I want to sit in. I gave her a smirk and told her I would order in a minute. She left me alone. I did just that. I went up to the register and ordered my drink/snack but not before giving her a very diplomatic earful. I gave her a 10sec history of who I am and made sure she remembered this is MY HOOD! I also advised her to learn better customer service skills if she wants people to support her business. She looked shocked and fearful, and she apologized. I continued going because it's the only place where I can concentrate and do work. Fast forward 2 months. I come back in around 2pm on a Saturday. I grab a menu and look through it. Once I was ready to order, the whole staff was sitting down at the tables having their lunch. I looked confused and asked if I can order, the Latina lady looked at me and said "I'm sorry, but right now we're having lunch." YOURE KIDDING RIGHT?? LOL. I went to put the menu back on the counter as they all watched, and sat down. 15mins later, same lady asked if I was ready to order. I said "Nope. I changed my nind." I finished my work and left. Moral of this story: If you don't know how to run a business, stay your ass home. :) read more

After coming home, I looked at pictures posted on yelp and I'm disappointed to say to my surprise the burrito should have had other ingredients like beans... but didn't. The restaurant was completely empty, and they still hadn't begin to cook my order. While still waiting for my food I was able to observe, how they were preheating some of my food on the microwave, this is when I decided to leave and cancel my order instead. Stopped here for a lunch and coffee. I saw there were vegan options and was wanting to try something new. I ordered a iced latte and specifically asked for oat milk and cashier said they had oat milk. The other two people I went with ordered chicken tandoori and Aloo matar. Our order took about 45 minutes to make. We were all unable to enjoy our food because it took sooo long and my latte had dairy therefore I was not able to drink it. This place is not vegan friendly and has incredibly slow service ): We asked multiple time how long it would take and they seemed forgetful.
