Changed up my taste palate for the day, and decided to try a cuisine I usually never explore! And what I have here is the... KEBAB! The Kebab originated from the Middle East, and is essentially pieces of meat on a skewer stick! I had opt to try the lamb kebab plate (which is a combo with fries, pita and hummus!) The lamb kebab left me craving for more since the the lamb was chewy and juicy. For some reason, I expected it to be dried and small in pieces but nope!! This food truck was generous with the meat portion, and the taste was amazing even thought it was only 2 skewers! They even provided extra sauce to dip the lamb. We got 2 warm pieces of pita which we dip like crazy in the hummus. They even provided too much hummus that I felt guilty tossing in the end. And y'all know, the fries was fabulous as well! Toasty and warm, and the ketchup is self served! Only 1 star off for pricing! The plate was $17, which is pricey for lunch. read more

I don't even know how to start... their kebabs are so delicious! I got to try some of their food while at Strand Brewing in Torrance and it was AMAZING. The wait wasn't bad either, after ordering it took less than 10 mins for our food to come to us. I would 100% come back to have more food. read more

We had the opportunity to shoot a wedding that was catered to by Original Gourmet Kebab and it was SO delicious! They actually went out of their way to make sure the bride and groom were served even though they couldn't get their truck closer to the reception area because of the venue's layout. They teamed up with the servers at The 1909 venue and were able to walk the food down to the area that the bride, groom, and wedding guests were. They made sure our clients were satisfied and we were able to get ourselves plates too! I had the chicken kebab plate today. I definitely preferred the bowl. The guy taking the orders is friendly and helpful. I couldn't decide on fries, rice or salad, and he let me get any two. I got the rice and salad. The salad had a nice dressing on it. On the down side, the chicken was a bit dry, probably because it was the healthy breast meat. The humus was also a bit bland. This was a little surprising since their sauces are all so good, especially the garlic. I think next time, if I get humus, I'll ask them to add a bit of the garlic sauce to it. read more

The guy who took my order was super nice and made a fabulous recommendation to me by suggestion I get my kebab cooked medium... this was by far the most tender and buttery beef I've ever had from any Mediterranean joint and even better than some fancier restaurants/steakhouses. The flavor was good and the portions were hefty. The cook really jam packed as much food as they could in my plate but hey I'm not complaining! The plate cost me $16 but I would gladly order from them again any other time. The tabbouleh was yummy and the hummus went great with the fries. Highly recommend! read more

This food truck will occasionally stop by at the Fresco Community Market in the LA neighborhood at Hermon for dinner on Mondays. And when they are there, I will always make sure to stop by and pick something up! I have only been there a couple of times, but their food has NOT disappointed. I have ordered their chicken kebab plate and their kebab plate (with the seasoned filet mignon) and they are both so delicious! My hubby absolutely LOVES the chicken kebab plate and that is probably his favorite. The chicken is very juicy and well seasoned. The tabbouleh that comes with it is also very good. My husband has never tried tabbouleh before, but now he is absolutely hooked.... The meat on the kebab place is also really yummy! I really appreciate the fact that they will cook it to the exact temperature that you want... BTW, Shawn took my order and he was really friendly and really nice... AND Marilyn (the one who shouts for you when your order is ready) was really nice too! This truck came to Jazz on the Lawn in Santa Monica today. Way too slow to be a food truck. When I ordered they told me it would take about 15 minutes. After 45 I gave up on waiting, for a refund and tried to enjoy the rest of the event (hungry). If I hadn't asked for a refund, I'm afraid I still might be waiting for my order!! I stopped by Ten Mile Brewery in Signal Hill and the Original Gourmet Kebab happen to be there. We ordered the Kebab Rice Bowl, Lamb Fries and A La Carte Chicken Kebab. The bowl looked small but once I dug into it, it was jam packed with beef and I couldn't even finish it by myself. Everything was delicious, great seasoning, and the meat was nice & tender. I was fortunate to catch this food truck on my lunch break from work! I ordered the falafel plate. It was sooo filling and the rice was amazing! One of the best Mediterranean food I've had in a moving truck! The only downside is that the wait was pretty long. So if you only have 30 min for lunch you might not make it! They have Kabobs, plates, bowls and pita wrap. My colleagues ordered different entrees and they were all large amounts and filling and all came with pita bread on the side. We ordered the OG Fries with Chicken and it's delicious. Very zesty, flavorful and had plenty of fries and chicken. Fries were crispy, not greasy and seasoned nicely. Food was decent but took forever despite there being only a few people in line. Also the owner has a major attitude that makes me not want to go back. He asked if I wanted vegan garlic cream on top of my lamb bowl. I said no because I don't really like products that are normally not vegan but other ingredients are substituted to make it vegan. (Also, I ordered a lamb bowl. Obviously I'm not vegan. Not sure why he thought that would be a selling point.) He actually started ARGUING with me when I said no thanks, and got all offended that I didn't want the vegan cream and kept saying that he made it himself. Dude chill. It's my lunch, I'm paying for it, don't ask me if I want to add an optional ingredient and then get all huffy when I decline. Sorry your ego got bruised but just give me my lamb bowl please. Ok first of all it's super hard to find good lamb at a restaurant let alone a food truck I was completely shocked on how tender and amazing it was. I've never had a lamb plate that was so amazing. The garlic sauce is very addictive. The lamb is so soft it disintegrated in my mouth. read more

I was so excited for Mediterranean food to come to my campus. I didn't even mind paying $14 for my plate as a poor student. Unfortunately, this was the worst meal I have had. The fallafel was extremely dry! I could not break it open with my fork and I had a feeling it was leftover from the day before. Why? Get the loaded fries. Really delicious with chicken and falafel! Falafel can be a little dry BUT with the loaded fries they are covered in sauce and awesome (owners take note - delicious but moister falafels will give you the wow factor!) Sauces are incredibly tasty. I am totally sold. read more

Probably one of the worst experiences I've had with a food vendor. Be cautious when using for your next event, food quality is 2.5/5 with service being a 1/5. The owner, Sean, is a bitter manchild who will only have things his way, at least his crying and complaining gave me a laugh. This truck came to close to our office today, and me and my friend were excited to try it out. We were extremely disappointed when they told us they were only offering maybe a fourth of their menu, the food we got was horrible, and the person who handed us our food was rude. I got the Kafta plate, which they recommended, and when I cut it open, it was apparent that the ground beef was completely under cooked, and looked really raw. The inside of the kebab was red and mushy, and I had to throw the whole thing out because I was scared to eat it. To top everything off, they lost my friend's food ticket and didn't start making her food until we reminded them. After taking time out of my workday to walk to the truck, stand in line, and wasting almost $17 each, we were really upset with the entire experience. read more

The truck prices run in the $13 (bowl) to $16 (plate) range, and you find that out during the order. Hidden prices aside this truck serves some great street food. I tried the ground beef bowl, a few co-workers tried other varieties and everyone was a fan of their food. The flavoring had cinnamon or something a little sweet on it that was not my favorite, but not terrible. Just a little jarring. In reality they deserve at least 4 1/2 stars. I ordered falafel rice bowl and it was great. It is a bed of yummy rice, pieces of falafel, topped with lettuce, tomatos,parsley and hummus. Everthing was soo fresh! Customer service was excellent and price is very good for being a food truck. I thought the falafel was on the dry side because it tastes like it was cut in pieces then fried which make the falafel dry. Also, a couple of us were curious about thier yogurt drink, laban, and I think it would be awesome if they gave out samples. read more

This food truck is amazing!! They showed up at our apartment complex tonight. Very nice people and the food was awesome. We had falafel (AH! Soooo good!), Lamb kebab, and Chicken kebab. The tabouleh and hummus was fantastic as well as the garlic cream sauce they drizzled over the chicken. I'd definitely get them again. Plus, I love the simplicity of their truck design.
