Our couple was super satisfied and so was my team! The food was amazing.

We had the opportunity to shoot a wedding that was catered to by Original Gourmet Kebab and it was SO delicious! They actually went out of their way to make sure the bride and groom were served even though they couldn't get their truck closer to the reception area because of the venue's layout. They teamed up with the servers at The 1909 venue and were able to walk the food down to the area that the bride, groom, and wedding guests were. They made sure our clients were satisfied and we were able to get ourselves plates too! I highly recommend them for your wedding or just any event you may have; especially if your theme is Mediterranean.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. The guy who took my order was super nice and made a fabulous recommendation to me by suggestion I get my kebab cooked medium... this was by far the most tender and buttery beef I've ever had from any Mediterranean joint and even better than some fancier restaurants/steakhouses. The flavor was good and the portions were hefty. The cook really jam packed as much food as they could in my plate but hey I'm not complaining! The plate cost me $16 but I would gladly order from them again any other time. The tabbouleh was yummy and the hummus went great with the fries. Highly recommend!

This food truck will occasionally stop by at the Fresco Community Market in the LA neighborhood at Hermon for dinner on Mondays. And when they are there, I will always make sure to stop by and pick something up! I have only been there a couple of times, but their food has NOT disappointed. I have ordered their chicken kebab plate and their kebab plate (with the seasoned filet mignon) and they are both so delicious! My hubby absolutely LOVES the chicken kebab plate and that is probably his favorite. The chicken is very juicy and well seasoned. The tabbouleh that comes with it is also very good. My husband has never tried tabbouleh before, but now he is absolutely hooked.... The meat on the kebab place is also really yummy! I really appreciate the fact that they will cook it to the exact temperature that you want... BTW, Shawn took my order and he was really friendly and really nice... AND Marilyn (the one who shouts for you when your order is ready) was really nice too! I most definitely will always get food from them.. as long as they keep coming back to the Fresco Market!

I stopped by Ten Mile Brewery in Signal Hill and the Original Gourmet Kebab happen to be there. We ordered the Kebab Rice Bowl, Lamb Fries and A La Carte Chicken Kebab. The bowl looked small but once I dug into it, it was jam packed with beef and I couldn't even finish it by myself. Everything was delicious, great seasoning, and the meat was nice & tender. I would definitely look out for them again.

Our rice had raw pieces ... everything else was fine they even gave us a bag of pita bread so not professional. Not even homemade.

I was fortunate to catch this food truck on my lunch break from work! I ordered the falafel plate. It was sooo filling and the rice was amazing! One of the best Mediterranean food I've had in a moving truck! The only downside is that the wait was pretty long. So if you only have 30 min for lunch you might not make it! They have Kabobs, plates, bowls and pita wrap. My colleagues ordered different entrees and they were all large amounts and filling and all came with pita bread on the side. The customer service was also great! Great experience overall.

We ordered the OG Fries with Chicken and it's delicious. Very zesty, flavorful and had plenty of fries and chicken. Fries were crispy, not greasy and seasoned nicely. Chicken breasts wasn't tough and was also chopped into good pieces, seasoned well too. The hummus on top is awesome. Super creamy and the flavors just pop through. Would highly recommend! Would definitely have it again!

Ok first of all it's super hard to find good lamb at a restaurant let alone a food truck I was completely shocked on how tender and amazing it was. I've never had a lamb plate that was so amazing. The garlic sauce is very addictive. The lamb is so soft it disintegrated in my mouth.

They had utensils, napkins, and sauces with containers while you wait. I ordered the falafel bowl and pali salad in case the bowl itself wasn't enough. It did take longer than the other orders but once I got it, we sat outside where they had a few tables and chairs. The bowl looked fresh and vibrant, so many colors and a decent amount of falafel. I tried their white and mazbout sauces on the salad. I'm glad it had spinach as it helped reduce water from seeping out. The falafel was slightly spicy since I am terrible with spic r tolerance but the sauce made it very balanced. I also got to try someone's fries and it was super delicious, the spices they used on the fries were flavorful and the fried were very crispy and smooth inside. Overall, very nice quick lunch, we arrived before they opened right at 12pm and avoided the lunch rush! Very affordable prices as well.

I went there in the hundreds of times. I like this place, and appreciate that they keep their prices so low. I think the falafel bowl I had was $6 or something ludicrous like that. It was good, not great. I also had the veggie shawarma. I won't get that again. It was mushy, and when I go for that dish, I'm not trying to be healthy. I guess if I were vegan for principled reasons, I might appreciate that more....... It was one and done for me. Shout out to the workers there. It was Ce and Michelle. Ce is one of the nicest restaurant workers I've ever met!!! Total gem!

By the time my friend and I wanted to order, they seemed like they ran out of pita, so they had to make fresh pita. Luckily it wasn't too long! I asked for everything on it and you can technically add more to it aside from "the everything" they mentioned. We ate inside, which the right side of the joint is where you order and you can dine inside on the left side of the place. They actually have quite a nice dining area! The seating is also very nice and cozy. Sitting down with our pita bread, it was pretty nice! Everything tasted so fresh and the pita was so soft (especially cause it just came out). Falafel was nice and crispy. It was really good. Although, I wish all the hummus was all on the bottom and which it was spread out more nicely. Maybe i'll get more next time. I was extremely full by the time I ate 3/4 of it. I didn't want to save it cause I was afraid the pita might get soggy, so I forced myself to finish it and became extremeelyyyy full haha. Still very delicious!

By far (!) the BEST falafel sandwich I have ever tried in ANY restaurant…read more I can not believe I found this place less than a month ago. I do not live in the area, but I am visiting here once in 2 weeks. Last time I was there, I had a huge cravings for Falafel. I know a few restaurants in the Pico/Robertson area, which has falafel, but I was hoping to find a new one, and I did! The GPS found this place, and I decided to try it. It was DELICIOUS! By far, the best Falafel I have ever had, and I am eating Falafel all my life. The salads are fresh and the place is clean. It served with 2 potato chips, which I didn't care about. I would rather had 5 falafel balls in my pita bread, instead of 4. (most of the places that sell falafel, put 5 or 6 falafel balls in your pita bread) The place is very small, you can easily miss it. Do yourself a favor, and stop by if you are in the area, and hungry for an amazing falafel! I know I will, every time I will be there.

Well, to start off, I must admit I drove by this place about 10 times before I finally went in. All…read morethose times, I never saw people inside. Which I understand why. I finally went in today and sadly, was not only disappointed, my fantasy of Falafel King was destroyed forever. I know Benito used to work for Falafel King, but this place is nothing like it. The service was horrible. The guy behind the little counter was not nice at all. In fact he was rude. And didn't like if you asked him questions. But that aside, sitting in this little tiny restaurant was not a good feeling. We were the only ones there. They have a seating area outside, I'm guessing for overflow - yet, the table and chairs were right there in the middle of the restaurant. Piled up. They didn't even bother to take it outside. Put all that aside - we get to the food. One of the best things Falafel King has were the "chips", which were battered slices of potatoes that were deep fried. These were slices of potato, they were potato chips. Thin. No "meat" on them, if you know what I mean. And sadly, they were fried either early this morning or last night. Terrible, cold, hard, no taste - not even salt. We move on the falafel - which tasted good. The taste of the falafel itself was good, but the oil dripping down my hand an face was not. I blame that on the oil not being hot enough when he put the falafel into the oil. Next, the actual shwarma is not really shwarma (like you all know it). There was no revolving slab of meat where the fat melts into the meat and makes it so so special. No. This was a little baggy of already cooked meat with no spices on it thrown on the plancha and heated up. Hard and tasteless. Very disappointing. I picked it out of my pita and ate the salad with tehina and spicy eggplant (which WAS tasty). The pita is also a thin hard pita - not the nice fluffy type. I didn't finish my food, and my friend didn't finish the food, as you can see in the pictures. Sorry to give it a 1 - but to say you have ANY connection to "Falafel King" is a disgrace. Sorry if I sound brutal. I tell it like it is.

I hunted a bit before tracking down a spot and paying the meter. I have not been to Dune before, but the value of the lunch special along with the promise of a fried chicken shawarma, coupled with unexpected free time, sounded like a promising moment to stop by. Walked up to the window and after no acknowledgement, I peaked inside the door and asked whether I place an order at the counter or wait to be seated. When I tell you the jarring elder Gen Z stare and incredibly unfriendly direction to sit on the bench and wait my turn (in the literal sense that I was told to sit on the bench and wait my turn. There was only a party of 2 seated at the bench and no line to speak of) made me regret coming out to eat entirely. I'm not lying when I say I thought about leaving immediately and driving home in my air conditioned car instead of sitting on a hot bench in nearly 100 degree weather with no acknowledgement of party size, no offer for a drink or water while I wait, and just existing in my bizarre humiliation ritual for having asked what the procedure is here for any kind of recognition of my interest in dining or simply existing. And yes, after sitting down I saw there is a small low contrast sign on a post stating to sit on the bench and wait, but it is positioned parallel to the counter window and only when turning away from the glass toward the seating area was it placed in a way that I would see it. Not very useful for someone who is walking up or down the sidewalk as it's not visible. I held my breath for about 10 minutes before being asked my party size (one) and seated at a shaded table. I regretted my choice to dine out the entire wait time for the table, while ordering and then being required to pay upfront before my meal was even presented to me, while seated awaiting my order, while my food (loaded fries, fried chicken shawarma, date shake and an added unsweetened iced green mint tea) was dumped at once on the table in front of me, while eating feeling humiliated for existing inside human skin, and again when having to walk to the window and ask for a to-go box. I felt like a massive inconvenience for the staff and fully regretted bothering them every step of the way for normal things like a Dine LA menu which was not initially offered, adding an iced tea to my order, existing in a metal folding chair and generally taking up space. I don't like being treated like a turd by people, and certainly don't want to be treated this way when I'm paying for a service. But after the initial flubbed interactions, demanding payment with tip upfront before receiving any kind of service was rendered, and then dumping my food at the table without ceremony, it's truly no wonder why the LA restaurant scene is dying. Between poorly trained staff, rising costs in rent and utilities, the outrageous cost of staffing and the fact that eating at a restaurant is completely unnecessary when cutting household expenses, restaurants are disappearing left and right. Some of the foods I still dream about are lost forever to closure after closure. Customers being treated like they're inconsequential isn't the only reason people like me usually choose to dine at home, and it's not the only reason restaurants are disappearing. But it's one of the only controllable elements in a world of runaway hospitality expenses. Customers deserve even a modicum of respect if restaurants are going to survive. $48 for the meal including tax and tip. More than enough food for lunch, I took home half. Loaded steak fries / wish they were served with a whipped feta or dipping sauce instead of ketchup but they're good. Generous portion of steak. 9/10 Fried chicken shawarma / fun idea, execution made it difficult to pick up to eat. Serving in a metal basket made it impossible to cut in half since there was not a solid surface to cut against. Flavor is yummy, wish those middle eastern flavors were more prominent in the batter but the chicken is extra crispy. Enjoyable. 8/10 Date shake / luxurious, creamy, flavorful. No notes. 10/10 Unsweetened green mint iced tea / overpriced, underdelivered. I'd skip it unless you're parched. 5/10 **written without the assistance of AI**
