I've tried a lot of Mediterranean restaurants, and somehow I keep finding myself back at Dream Kabob House. The lamb chops are hands down some of the best I've had--perfectly seasoned, incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite tastes fresh and cooked with care. The rice and red beans are just as impressive and complement the meal perfectly. You can tell they pay attention to every part of the plate, not just the main protein. Everything tastes homemade and authentic. What really sets this place apart is the owner. He is always welcoming, friendly, and genuinely appreciative of his customers. That kind of hospitality is hard to find these days. There are plenty of Mediterranean restaurants closer to me, but I gladly drive miles out of my way to eat here. That's how good it is. The spot is located in DTLA so find street parking if you know you know. I was surprised to find it food from this establishment was going to be amazing but the best food comes from little hole in the walls. Ordered the beef luleh kebab plate came with rice, grilled veggies, and a pita bread. The flavor was all in the meat, well executed nice char seemed like a mom and pop type of place plate cost about $20 and we wanted a small side of hummus would cost about $2. I've been coming here for so many years and I've never wrote a review. This place is a literal hole in the wall, but it's so good almost don't even want to write about it cause I want to keep it to myself anyways if you ever find yourself in downtown LA this is the place for a great casual lunch !! The kebabs are freshly grilled to order and the Shirazi salad is amazing easily 10/10 Don't even get me started on the hummus and then they plate it on a bed of rice with a grilled tomato and a hot pepper. If you're a spicy girl like me you're gonna love this place and they also have the warmest pita bread so good and they make this kidney bean salad. Oh my gosh stop it's beyond good service is always amazing. Roman the nice gentleman at the front is awesome. One day I accidentally ordered Uber eats via the robot you know in LA they have all these robots and the robot lost my food anyways they were very helpful. The staff & service is 5 star. They were so nice and telling me about the dishes & what to try. The ambiance is like a burger stand type. The food is good. Hummus, the stuff you sprinkle in the rice, the grilled tomatoes, and the chicken was seasoned and cooked right. Next time I'll go for grilled onions instead of fresh cut. The meat is good. Everything else in the plate, not so much. The pita bread is given to you cold. The rice isn't that good. It's lacking the butter and that creamy sauce that's normally throwin on top of it. They do provide a small thing of butter and small container of that creamy sauce, but it's not the same. In terms of service, the guy taking your order gives you that hurry up attitude. The interior itself doesn't make the place pleasant the be in. Overall, doesn't feel like a great Middle Eastern experience. For the price charged, not worth it. Should be more in a fast food price range. read more

Roman took my order and prepared it and Waheek* shared with me that the restaurant has been around for 9 years! The only downside is that it's cash only and can't use a card.
