I wish the price can be cheaper but we just had a winter snow storm and hundreds of people in Alaska have their cars stuck in snow, I am desperate. I pay $290 to get my car unstuck from a parking spot. Trust me, me and my boyfriend shovel the hell out of that parking spot but we can't get the car out, I really have to get it towed. The work takes like 2 minutes (the best hourly rate I have ever seen for a job) and they got there within 30 minutes from the moment I call them around noon when Ron's towing doesn't have any trucks available to dispatch. The first time they towed me, they quoted one price and charged double and then laughed at me when I complained, daring me to do anything about it. Like others who have commented, when I asked for a supervisor, I was told the supervisor wasn't there. The second time I used them, they were flat out rude to me. The only reason I used them was because they were automatically sent by the roadside assistance service. My friends and I went to Fairbanks during thanksgiving break. And our car got stuck in the snow. We ended up calling 24/7 towing(WORST mistake of our lives). The dispatcher first said it would be $165 + some overhead charge and NEVER communicated the anticipated bill and eventually ended up charging us with a bill of $4000 for a simple tow. The locals there, helping us later mentioned: even $300 would have been too much, let alone the 20 times extra charge. It was insanely RIDICULOUS. They took our rental car as ransom. We made endless calls to them to help us understand the ridiculously itemized bill. They couldn't explain a thing. They kept stalling us and transferring our call and kept saying the BOSS is not available. Unfortunately, we had to pay the money to get the car as it was a rental as we had to fly out the next day. The car slide into the snow on the highway. All we need is to have the car winched out. The car was not damaged at all and was only half off the highway. When the driver arrived with our car, he asked us $900 for the service, and if we do not pay for this ridiculous amount, he would not release the car and tow it back and charge us more. They came out pulled out the truck and amount owed $450. When we accepted the quote we a little wiggle room but not $350 more than the original quote. When trying to avoid the tow truck I slid into a ditch and had to be switched out. I was then told I was going to be charged $200 for the winch out of snow. When I received my receipt over email it showed that I had actually been charged $350! $350 for a simple winch out of snow that took maybe 5 minutes and of which they were already on scene! Had a motorcycle towed 10 miles I'll let the receipt speak for itself. I actually helped wheel the vehicle onto the truck, no special work needed to be done to get it there. At the price they charged you could have a friend drive to anchorage to buy a trailer and be money ahead. My insurer made the tow request and seeing the out right criminal bill, I will never use this company if my life depended on it. Driving home about an hour ago, in minimal traffic, one of this company's trucks felt the need to literally tail gate me at 55 mph on the highway for several miles before I turned off. I wasn't just poking along, as I was driving at the posted speed limit. He had been driving well in excess of the limit before he caught up to me and perched right on my ass for several miles in minimal visibility. I can appreciate a company wanting to be responsive to some call for assistance, but I cannot fathom the motivation for a supposed "rescuer" to attempt to intimidate other drivers. 27/4 towed my small Hrv car on January 27, 2021, after an accident. The driver insisted on taking it to his lot until the insurance paid him. We were forced to pay $255 before he would take the car off the rollback at our preferred repair shop. Later, we got an estimate at another tow company for the 3.5 mile tow and a few minutes of road pickup. It seems that 24/7 charge was about double the expected rate. Shame that I have to give this place such bad reviews since Stefan is such a great guy, his employee greatly misrepresented him with his attitude and lack of work ethic. His employee Dimitri has screwed up two tows for us. He doesn't know how to drive the truck, doesn't understand the car has to be in neutral not park before he starts yanking it around and on this last occasion took over an hour to show up (only after we called to ask what the hold up was with no excuse just an "oh uh I'll call the driver"). $75 for waiting an hour in the cold, no apology for the wait and wouldn't even hardly make eye contact until he tried to leave really fast before I stood in front of him to get his name to make the owners aware of why they're losing business. Maybe there should be an option for zero stars, I had a semi truck that was slightly stuck and needed pulled enough to get some traction. I call 24/7 towing because they were the first company that popped up on google. Ironically it said Affordable towing; they showed up with the tow truck and pull the semi roughly 20 feet or so without a heavy tow truck. When I got the bill and saw that it was $2300 I felt a bit conned. I could understand if the semi was in a difficult area to get to, or maybe needed towed 300 miles. I Called to find out why it was so expensive multiple times to find out that the supervisor who authorizes the charge amounts was on vacation. After 10 days of trying to get answers, the Individual that I finally spoke to was rude and very unhelpful to say the least. We were told by the owner and the driver two different time frames that our vehicle would get to us in a hour and a half and 5 hours. We have been waiting since 8pm and it's 4am, still waiting! This place deserves -5 stars for they're service! I don't even want to know how much they will over charge us. This is ridiculous, the lack of communication between workers and lies produced to those who are paying for they're services. This man isnt going to be over charged either, its not going to happen. I will pay the driver for making the run. Plus, my mom had to take an uber home from work considering, I couldn't leave to get her and, my kid had to stay the night at my sitters- charging me more. Then, told us to go home and come back later? We live in Anchorage, visiting Fairbanks. They told us they would get the car to us in 1.5 hours and that was at 12:26am. 3:30am I called the driver and he said he is getting a different vehicle with a different time frame and, turns out he is getting my car. This dude lied and JUST got a driver to go out to get the car. The prior day, tried to charge me $700 bucks for a use of his jack and T bar to be dropped off for me to use- where I was only 22 miles from Healy. A 2 hour job that I was going to do and this bum wanted $700.00. I'm flabbergasted by this whole situation with this company.
