Delicious and fresh donuts!! There was a short line around 2pm but it moved very fast. Donuts were so soft and fluffy. The maple flavor was the real deal. The smell of maple stayed on my fingers after enjoying this treat. Definitely recommend!
I stopped by Lee's Donuts on Granville Island and tried the honey donut. They're located in the Public Market by a secondary entrance door. Tried one of the honey flavored donuts. Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but that thang was damn good. Soft, fresh, and sweet. It hit exactly like a treat should after walking around the area. Customer service was nice, quick, and straightforward. I just grabbed one since I had already eaten lunch, but honestly I wanted more. I had to stop myself. If you're in the area, treat yo self!!!! Unless you're feeding an army cause really, $35 CAD for a dozen donuts is crazy.

We're from Texas visiting Vancouver so of course I researched the heck out of every neighborhood and resto and treat spot, etc. Lee's was always on every list and TBH I usually can pass on a donut but man oh man these are not regular donuts and now I completely get why this place is a must-stop!!! We tried the "most popular" honey dipped and don't let the honey name fool you (I don't love honey so was skeptical but my husband thought we needed to try the most popular) - it was like an upgraded, superior glazed donut. Fabulous flavor, dense but delicious- so so good! We also tried the strawberry lemonade and OMG best donut ever?! Like in my life?! Truly I've never had a better donut experience than this. Also - all the staff was SO friendly and sweet and the line moved quickly. For real, keep Lee's on your list!!!
They have a good selection of donuts available. We visited on a Monday morning around 11am and there was a short line with maybe 3 people ahead of us. I got a honey dipped and a matcha donut. The honey dipped was good but it was a pretty standard glazed donut. I liked how light and fluffy the donut tasted. The matcha donut was a cake donut rolled in matcha powder. It tasted nothing like matcha though so I would probably skip this one. Overall, nice little treat but nothing amazing.

I'm a simple gal. All I am ever looking for is a perfect glazed donut. Well. We did it folks. Lee's famous honey dip donut was the yeasted donut of my dreams. It was light and airy yet still had an incredible chew to it. The glaze was the perfect thickness and perfect sweetness. I could've housed a dozen of these bad boys on my own. I also tried two of the cake donuts: the glazed cake and the peanut. They were fine. The peanut was at least a novelty that I've not had before, but the cake batter itself was a little too dense for my preference. It was $10 for 3 donuts which is definitely on the pricey side, but honestly I would pay that again and again for their yeast donuts.
When thinking of places to try in Vancouver, Lee's Donuts came highly recommended! I'm always on the hunt for the best donuts in each city I travel to, and this one was truly the best! I got to check out one located in the Public Market at Granville Island. The staff were so kind and the abundance of flavours to choose from were great! When it comes to the donuts, it truly is a cake donut. The pillowy softness of these donuts is what I think makes them so special. I got to try the Bavarian Cream, Glazed Cake and Funfetti Donut which were all delicious. I could totally see myself coming back here the next time I come visit Vancouver! 9/10 recommend!
I was lucky enough to stop in here when there was no line - although a long line out the door formed when I exited the line! Good timing for me! I picked out 4 donuts to try, Honey Dipped, matcha, churro, and the flavor of the month - Strawberry. The Strawberry donut was a fail. It had a red icing on top, but nothing about it tasted like strawberry. Matcha and churro donuts were good, but I honestly didn't taste much matcha on the donut or icing. But the honey dip donut stole the show. It wasn't overly sweet, and the texture was different than other yeast donuts I've had. Not like a regular glaze I get at home. My whole family also liked the honey dip the best. Be sure to pick up one of these when you come here!
Good donut option in the vast Granville Public Market area. They have a huge variety of flavors. The price point was a bit on the higher side but to be expected for the area. Line was long but moved quickly.

While exploring Granville Market, I noticed a long line to Lee's Donuts, a small corner stall, so I had to try it myself. It sure did offer a variety of speciality donuts. I bought a variety and we ate a few right after. Their popular "Honey Dipped" was just like a glazed donut. My favorites were the German Chocolate and Chocolate Crunch. These donuts are a tad expensive than what I would usually pay for (even converted to USD) but definitely paying for the experience/hype. Gotta try it, at least once.
So tasty and airy! When we went we asked for recommendations and the staff suggested the honey dip since it also was just made so it's super fresh. No regrets! It was warm and fluffy and the right amount of sweetness. Beware as other locations don't have their own kitchen so you won't get fresh donuts like the ones at Granville. There is a huge variety so it can be a bit overwhelming! I would simply just go for the classics, you can't go wrong. The wait was also fairly quick, it was less than 5 minutes for a Wednesday morning! The staff were friendly and I didn't feel too rushed. read more

During my vacation in Vancouver, Lee's Donuts was on my list of must try spots. I had a tour that stopped at Granville Island Market, so I was happy to find out there was a Lee's Donuts there. As much as I wanted to try several flavors, I had to tell myself to order just one because there were other desserts at the market I wanted to try. I decided to go with the Honey Dip donut. It looks like a regular glazed donut, but there was something special about it. It was really, really good. The donut was incredibly soft, and the dough had a dense, chewy texture that I really enjoyed. It reminded me of a Krispy Kreme Original Glazed donut, but bigger and less sweet. It was such a great treat, and I'm glad I finally got to try it. read more

I ordered the Honey Glazed / Raspberry Jam Filled / Bavarian Filled - Vanilla custard / Dutch Chocolate / Maple Iced. It was a mix of yeast and cake donuts. The flavors are mostly classic flavors you'd find at most donut shops but well executed. There wasn't one I didn't dislike. My personal favorites were Honey glazed, Dutch chocolate and Bavarian. This family-run, made-from-scratch bakery has operated out of Granville Island Public Market since 1979, and additional locations have popped up across Metro Vancouver. While Lee's has remained a local staple, it rose to international prominence after being featured on Netflix by David Chang and Seth Rogen. Lee's is one of countless vendors within the Granville Island Public Market. Briefly, this large converted warehouse is now home to plenty of restaurants, grocers, and specialty merchants. The Market is immediately adjacent to the marina and False Creek inlet, and the remainder of Granville Island is home to countless boutiques and art galleries. It feels like a contact sport to park on the island and find seating within the market. Within the market, the background color palette is industrial brown and grey, but many vendors add a flourish of color. Skylights shine down onto exposed rafters, and heavy-duty lighting fixtures hang from the soaring roof. No music is playing, but the metal walls echo with the din of chatter. Lee's lemon-yellow and forest-green stall features numerous cartoon donuts, and a plethora of varieties are stocked within the display counter and in the cooling racks in the back. As a self-proclaimed donut connoisseur, I walked into Granville Island Public Market eyeing Lee's iconic Honey Dip Donut. Even into the afternoon, Lee's sported a steady queue. But with brusquely efficient service, I breezed through the line. I opted for the honey-dipped, and I was surprised to find that it didn't taste any different than a standard glazed ring. Lee's donut was slightly larger with above-average dough -- but the most notable aspect was the $3 price tag. Why 4 stars? Because these donuts are apparently an institution and I'm glad I tried them. --- --- --- I was told that when visiting Granville Island Market, the one thing I absolutely had to try were the donuts from Lee's. There were a million options, all of which looked great, so we just went with two of the most popular, which were noted on the menu: The Honey Dip and the Bavarian Cream Filled. Both were high quality, enjoyable donuts. I wouldn't label them amazing, but I think they could have been if I'd had the ability to warm them up a bit. I shoveled these down as we walked through the market and would love to stop by a Lee's again if I ever find myself in Vancouver. Do they have the "Hot Donuts Now" sign like Krispy Kreme? If so, I'm sold. read more
Lee's and Honey Doughnuts are my two favorite donut shops in Vancouver. I'm a sucker for a good traditional donut, and Lee's honey glazed can hold its own against any I've ever had! It's definitely a rather filling donut, compared to an airy, pillowy donut like Krispy Kreme. The other flavors, especially the filled kinds, are also good, but I never find myself gravitating to any other flavor as much as I do the original. There used to be a crazy line every time, before it expanded to so many more locations, but even then I thought it was worth the wait! read more

Of course trying to decide on one out of the many flavors on display was hard. We decided to keep it simple and chose the Honey Dip since it was the one they were well known for. On our most recent visit to Granville Public Market, we kept seeing everyone walking around with yellow boxes of donuts. We didn't notice these on our previous visits and so we were curious. We walked around looking for it in the food hall area but could not locate it. After a short while, we finally found it towards the produce section and eagerly decided to say yes to getting donuts. I love a good donut and not all donuts are equal. And these donuts are definitely top tier. The honey dip donut - oh my gawd. It's soft and pillowy but still the perfect bite with that subtly sweet glaze. It doesn't just melt in your mouth either, it's more substance to it than just sugar. It's truly a deli donut in every sense and just reminiscing of it makes me wish I had a couple now. We also tried the Dutch crumb, butter crunch, and Dutch chocolate. Their cake donuts were just as heavenly. Not heavy or dry, they were moist and tender and made with love. We will definitely be back and enjoy these again. Just don't do what we did and cut everyone. Since we came from the inside l, we didn't realize the line went out the door and down the building. What's crazy is no one said anything to us. We didn't realize how many people we cut until we walked out to sit down and enjoy our donuts. All we could do at that point was laugh and say wow. read more

I'm not a fan of donuts but was willing to give Lee's Donuts a try to see what all the fuss was about. The line was short on a Monday at 4 PM, with fewer than 10 people ahead of me so the wait was probably less than 5 minutes. I ordered one sugar cake donut and one chocolate donut. Both were fluffy, not overly sweet, and tasted fresh. One donut is a perfectly sized afternoon snack. If you're looking to satisfy your sweets craving and you're a fan of donuts, I'd recommend Lee's. Don't let the line deter you; it moves quickly especially if people know what to order. read more
This 5 star review is solely for the raspberry doughnut. I've had Lees in the past and it was good but this raspberry filled really sealed the deal. The doughnut was warm, pillowy and fluffy. The raspberry filling WAS still warm, literally there is no greater joy in the world (sometimes) than a warm fresh doughnut. I also got the strawberry chocolate cake and it was fine- good chew. Lee's Donuts. Now these were some good donuts, and the price is spot on. Yellow branding really catches the eye and gives off an overall relaxed cute vibe. There was a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. I just wish it were easier to see the donuts in the back and read the flavours -- though I get that keeping them away from customers is more hygienic. They weren't greasy at all, a bit dense, and nicely sweet. If I get the chance to go back, I'll definitely try some of the filled ones. read more

The donuts are soft and fluffy, it's great to eat them without any extra sugar, the so-called #1 honey dip is in fact a market "honey dick", it's just a normal sugar coated donut, all their donuts are made overly sweet. It's wasn't a line when we ordering, the staffs were not busy but this guy still served us with a sour face. I suggest to go other places for better donuts, their donuts are just average. read more

I found out about this place because of Seth Rogen. I ended up getting 6 different flavours - raspberry jam, matcha cheese cake, ube coconut, apple filled churro, butter, and honey dipped. We enjoyed all 6 flavours! I like how it wasn't too sweet and the texture of the donuts! I cannot wait to come back again! read more
