You have a manager that is about money and is not interested in the customer experience as a whole. from equipment that is always broke to his people skills. I been a member for 2 years and and every year I pay in advance. As I did last year I was contemplating going somewhere else and told them that. My membership expires april 1 and they are trying to charge me and annual fee so I made sure not to let them debit card as for advice from employee then I cancelled membership and they still charged a nsf fee. again, I hope that 16 dollars makes you happy but I tell anyone for the price to many better solutions read more

I've been working out at gyms for about 40 yrs and have been a member at 24 Hour Fitness for the last 25 years. This location is absolutely the smallest and worst run club I've ever been to. The lack of equipment means constant waiting. Equipment is poorly maintained, club is very dirty, men's bathroom is atrocious on a daily basis, staff not friendly (what little of them there are) and generally rude clientele. (the attached protos are what you see constantly at this club) It's really unbelievable sometimes, especially with the lack of equipment there. My membership was $8 a month for life and it wasn't worth keeping it to go to this club. I preferred the Murphy club but that one was allowed to close. read more

I wonder what qualifies a 24 Hour Fitness location to be a Super Sport. I often think of the Murphy Super Sport when it first opened with an indoor/outdoor pool with slides. The new Super Sports do not have outdoor pools with slides so that's obviously not the qualifier! :-) This location has new, fancy equipment that is too new agey for the regular gym goer. The basketball court here is extremely small. It is not even the size of half a court. My biggest gripe about this location is the treadmills are on the back row and anyone on them will have their backs to the entrance. Someone I haven't seen in a few years was able to walk up on me without me noticing. They did not think the design through on this one. This location should definitely be a regular active sports versus a super sport as I do not see where the extra cost is going. read more

I am worried. I love this gym. I really love my trainer. HOWEVER, the bathrooms are not keep clean. Pieces of equipment are left weeks with OUT OF SERViCE signs. Like that is ok???Please don' t let this gym go down the tubes. I don't mind paying 3 times more a month than the next closest gym because the equipment was kept up and the facilities have been, in the past, kept clean and safe Additional, 2 Sundays ago, I arrived at the gym at 8:00 am. Unfortunately, 24 hour fitness has removed several machines. The ellipticals have been removed from this location. You need to wait 30 to 45 minutes during prime time for machines. 24 hour fitness has suffered from bad financial decisions. The classes have been cut from this location, so nobody attends the class. The rowing machine has been broken for more than one month. The gym has maintained the The Allen texas location in a better state compared to the Fairview, texas location. The corporate has closed the Allen texas location. Another owner has purchased the allen texas location and the gym is evolving into a Crunch fitness. The gym has ovebilled me for membership dues, which I do not appreciate. I don't know why people visit the facility. read more

Repeatedly not open on time in the morning. We've all realized by now the days of 24Hr Fitness being open 24 hours a day is long gone and I'm fine with that because it's cheap. I'm even fine with this location not being all that clean if you look closely around the machines or in the locker rooms. The cold showers are annoying, but I don't use them often so I deal with it. What's unacceptable is multiple mornings of not being open on time. Twice this week I've arrived (5am on Monday, 6;45am on Sunday) to a parking lot of people waiting. This has happened occasionally over the years, but it now it's becoming a regular occurrence. If you need a gym membership in Allen/Fairview, spend your monthly budget elsewhere. read more

This place is filthy dirty. Restrooms haven't been cleaned in weeks. Filth all over the floor in locker rooms and under equipment on the main floor. I talked to staff about it and they agreed. That's a problem. Every trash can in the place is overflowing with trash and on the ground beside it. What a missed opportunity... because it has nice features like steam room but even that had mud on the floor today. Definitely Needs a culture change and Everyone has to start being accountable to their gym/work. when it's that bad it's not jusT the designated cleaners...it's everyone. I used this gym for a while but my boyfriend and I switched to another gym about 3 months ago. He called to cancel our memberships (they were both on the same card) and they only cancelled one. I found out 3 months later it's still trying to charge a card I no longer put money in and now I owe almost $100 for something I didn't use and was supposed to be cancelled. They said there was absolutely nothing they could do until I rectified my charges. There's not one person to blame for this but it's still super frustrating !! Absolutely Horrible Service. I didn't want to sign on with this egregious gym but was called 5 times by their representatives offering me different deals each time. When I finally signed on with the deal for 2 months free meant for students during the summer, I found out I was charged for 2 of those 3 months and then charged an annual fee (~100$) when I was told at the beginning there would be no additional fees. I have called their gym 6 times now trying to resolve this issue but they have told me that only the general manager can help me (who has been in a meeting 3 times out of the 6 I have called) and then they never called me back when they said they would. I would recommend staying far away from this gym that has horrible customer service. They WILL scam you out of your money and they WILL charge you for bullshit reasons and make it impossible to cancel your membership. read more

It's not close to me, but it is one of the newer 24 hour fitnesses. Except it is not 24 hour anymore , more like 12 hour fitness as they close at 9:00 pm and the guy at the front desk informed me they would not be going back to 24 hours now or ever. Hmm. Also, I get that people don't want to wear masks while working out and I agree it is probably best not to wear one while doing cardio. That said, suddenly no one wears them even when walking around or lifting. Also there is no longer any space between machines (the second Abbot lifted the restrictions 24 had cardio machines stacked next to each other again open for use and was tearing down Covid signs). I want Covid over as much as the next guy or gal, but we still have a responsibility to each other and the community. Bad form 24, bad form. SMH. read more

This gym is a Petri dish. They need to close it down and sanitize the whole gym. The bathroom is filthy, locks on the stall doors are falling off, hair and dust bunnies are everywhere. Awful customer service both locally and as a company. Started an annual membership when I moved here and was told my old account would be cancelled. Counselor/manager failed to mention that the membership would be reoccurring and did not cancel previous account. The Fairview location replaced the Allen location which was in desperate need of being refurbished. 24H just closed Allen and moved on. The fairview location has all equipment on one floor (Allen was two levels) so it is a bit more accessible. The equipment is more than adequate having free weights and a variety of machines. 24H repairs the equipment quickly when necessary. COVID has definitely impacted this location (no surprise). They lost most of the personal trainers and they haven't yet returned. If you don't need/want a trainer then no issue. My one and ongoing complaint is that the floor area is not kept as clean as it could be. There is frequently staff running a vacuum around, but doesn't get under and around the equipment. As a germaphobe, this is an issue for me. Further, they seem to have suspended or eliminated the "clean the equipment" policy. COVID may be gone, but there are other wee beasties lurking about! read more

Only 3 stars because of the hours. I've been a 24hr member since like 2006 when I was a HS teenager. This is one of the better locations I've been to but I have always been drawn to the franchise for two things the late hours and the Sauna and Steam Room. Unfortunately, it closes very early (9 pm) and the Steam Room is constantly broken. read more

I'm very disappointed that 24 Hour fitness is a bit of a misnomer with not moving their locations back to 24 hour workout periods but also this location still holding to a 9 pm cutoff. The closest location to just get an 11 pm cutoff is Castle Hills which is not even remotely close. I'm thinking of having my membership put on hold since I can't use the gym with their significantly reduced hours. I hope this location expands their hours to 11 pm. read more

Went in today to ask about working out for a week and how much it would cost while I was in town working for the storms. Was told I had to pay month before and this month's due and could work out which came out to $90.00. Wow most other gyms would have worked with people from out of town helping out. I started coming here once the Allen Sport gym closed. The super outdated look of the Allen Sport gym was a nostalgic kind of neat, but it was an indicator that it was time for a new gym. I was happy to find out I was grandfathered to the brand new Super Sport gym in Fairview, which is pretty close to the previous location. I came here for grand opening, and was one of the very first members to come right at 6 AM. I love the brand new gym smell. Plenty of treadmills, ellipticals, stairmasters, and bikes, where some machines have fans and/or TV monitors integrated in the machine! There are also weight machines and free weights. Some of the features that are new from the Allen Sport gym are multiple squat racks, turf zone, TRX suspension area, and a massage table, which is awkwardly placed in the middle of the training area but it's all good. The locker rooms/bathrooms/showers are pretty clean, and the swim area/steam room/sauna are nice. Like the previous gym, there is a classroom for group classes, separate area for spin classes, and a basketball court. The staff that I've encountered here (usually in the morning) are nice and friendly; they always greet me with a smile! So far, the gym is pretty nice and I hope it stays that way! Everyone, make sure the gym stays awesome by doing your part in cleaning after yourself, don't bring your shoes in the sauna, and put weights away after use, LOL! Enjoy! read more

A Planet Fitness dressed up as a personal training facility disguised as a country club. The new club "concept" and equipment mix is trying to be too many things in too small of a space. Three leg curls and one leg extension? One smith machine? What happened to having four or five lines of equipment? Having the one line of Hoist will get real boring real quick. Please re-open the Allen and Trinity Mills club! Guess that's what happens when a teacher's union in Canada owns the brand and it's managed by a private equity firm in New York. As advertised on their website 24 hour fitness offers a 3 day trial pass to customers who are considering getting a membership. I put all my info in online and when I came in I was asked if I was a college student. The lady at the front desk said that because I was a college student I would not be able to use my pass. I was embarrassed as I was starting my weight loss journey and was denied access. Finally the front desk worker said if I wanted to walk on the treadmill just for today I could. I sent in a notice to the company and they replied with an email and call, with no regard. I told the sales manager on the phone that I felt like they were discriminating against me as a college student because they told me that was the only reason I couldn't use the pass. On the phone I was then given a lecture on the word discrimination, told I shouldn't use it, and told I was very much in the wrong for even feeling that way. When I asked the person who called me for their name they would not give it saying that they had disclosed it at the beginning, then continuing to tell me how terrible my allegation was. They called me just to harass me I guess. Will not be giving 24 hr fitness any of my business read more

Appreciate the quick response. Overall I'm liking the new Fairview Texas gym. That said, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE ask the manager there to dispense with allowing solicitors onsite!!!!! This started in the Allen location before it closed and it is incredibly annoying. When you work all day and fight through city traffic to get there, all you want to do is get in, workout, and go home. People trying to sell you something you don't need or solicit money for their cause is not a core competency for the gym. All the local grocery stores will allow people to do this. The gym doesn't need to follow. Nobody I saw yesterday wanted anything to do with the vendor out front, and most everyone waived them off, looking annoyed. As a long time member, this is something that I'd like to see removed from the playbook. It's really a turn-off. read more

RUDE STAFF, POOR MANAGEMENT, LAX SAFETY PROTOCOLS. I have been a member at 24 Hours for over 15 years. I was excited about the Fairview location when it opened in December 2019. It was great to be in a clean, up to date work-out environment. My opinion of this gym has changed since it has re-opened after COVID. My trainer quit after 22 years of working for the company due to lax safety protocols. The gym states personal safety for members is the top priority. This is untrue. Staff are non-compliant with Texas COVID safety measures and does not enforce them at the gym. Management does not take safety seriously and staff members or either apologetic (but take no action) or rude. I have witnessed reception staff, personal trainers, and facilities staff that are 1/2 masked and within 6 feet of others. A couple of weeks ago a spin class instructor was 1/2 masked, less than 6 feet from me talking to a client for over 15 minutes. Clients follow the staff lead (75% or more are 1/2 or unmasked). Today (9/25/2020) I walked by a personal trainer with her mask pulled down below her nose. I asked her to pull her mask up. She said "it's ok" but took no action. I repeated "no...pull up your mask". I watched as she rolled her eyes, walked away, did not pull up her mask and put her fist in the air in a defiant manner as if she would flip me off, minus the middle finger. (This happened around 10:15 am. If anyone from 24 Hour Management is reading this - I am sure it is on camera.) I asked for a call from management but no one has reached out to me. This is beyond inappropriate. Complaints yield no results. Stay away from this gym!! read more

In a effort to upgrade and be "new", they have compromised professionalism, common sense and customer service. Their focus is on getting "new" members, while sacrificing losing the long term members. The "new" trainers are also lacking in their ability in customer service, particularly the one name Kent! One tip for him (Kent), when a member is using a chair(s) as part of their workout/rehab, it is no longer a chair but a prop!
