Was here less than an hour ago with my Rolex Explorer to get a smudge removed from the underside of the crystal which had been really killing my enjoyment of the piece. I'd actually contacted a few other shops to get quoted for the cleaning but they all said that they were unwilling to clean the crystal apart from a full servicing of the watch. Swung by 24 Hour and was in and out in less than 15 minutes with the crystal looking spotless! Very fair pricing and I appreciate the transparency of the shop so I never had to worry about how my watch was being handled. I took my Breitling in because the crown had fallen off. Brett greeted me and asked me about the issue. He then explained to me what potentially needed to be replaced and told me that he would do some research to find out the cost of the Breitling parts and add the repair part. To my surprise, he called me back within hours after finding part, cost and gave me a very reasonable estimate. I was expecting days or a week for a return call. Went to this place after I lost my wife's watch screw and another one was missing gasket. I tried to replace battery on both and couldn't seal the back cover and missing screw. I brought in two watches to be repaired; one a Vietnam era military watch and the other a 1957 Hamilton. I was quoted outrageous prices but wanted the Hamilton repaired. I was charged the price for repairing the military watch. The day I got there, the owner was on a house call so I could not ask about it. I could have bought a nice new watch at that point and have proven so when picking up nice Citizens dirt cheap on ebay. I have been watching watch repair videos of my watch being repaired and feel as if I was ripped off. Look elsewhere. I am going to start repairing watches as a hobby. read more

Glad that I have a place to take my watches that are close by. It was hard for me leaving my old trusted watch shop in Fairfax, but I decided to take a chance based on the reviews. The parking lot is small but efficient since it is for repairs or the few that want some unique clocks and watches. My batteries for my watches were replaced and they are working well. I really like clockworks for their super friendly service and reasonable prices. They have standard prices for replacing battery of any watch. Before them, I went to numerous places were they would ask for ridiculous prices for replacing the batteries for a top brand watch. Not 24Hr Watch & Clockworks! Same price for a $15 watch to a $$$ watch. We have moved farther and still travel an hour to this place to replace batteries. Would not take our watches anywhere else. I am so lucky to have found this lovely shop. It is on Wilson Blvd in a charming former house. There is a clock out front and many clocks of all shapes and sizes ticking inside. My technician was very prompt and was able to diagnose, take apart my watch, and get condensation out asap. She told me what kind of watch I had and how to treat it better. And, since the service was a quick fix for her -- although I could not do what she did, with her skill and expertise and tools -- she would not take my money. One note -- the shop has regular business hours, even if the clocks tick 24 hours hence the name :) I want to bring her other business! read more

Be warned while all the other reviews are great, this one is not. I took a clock that had been in my family for years here. I was told I would be called with an estimate of what it would take to have the clock repaired, but also told if I didn't hear back from them to call. I called several times but got the answering machine and couldn't leave a message because the answering machine was full. I tried for two months to get a hold of someone even stopping by and no one was there. When I finally got a hold of someone, nothing had been done to my clock, no update, no idea what to do and had to be forceful about getting my clock back. read more

Review is for two services. First was a battery replacement which was finished before I was even done explaining the situation about my other watch. For $10 I have no complaints except that I wish I could do it myself. Second was to fix the Swiss movement on a wrist watch. 4/5 stars because the watch took 17 days longer than originally quoted, but it works like new again, and thanks for the cleaning! Very happy with my experience here. I have several watches that need new batteries, and I've been having the husband order said batteries (only $2-3 on Amazon), open the watches and replace them. However, a few of my watches were too tough to open without smaller tools. I brought one of these watches to the watch shop in Ballston mall and was told it would be $19 for a replacement battery. At the Fast Fix in Tysons, it was going to be $25 (!!). I thought these prices were ridiculous for a $3 battery and a few minutes of time. At 24-Hour, they quoted me $10 and didn't even ask to see the watch first (the other two places wouldn't quote me until they saw the watch, which is a Michael Kors, and only then would decide how much to charge). The replacement was done in a few minutes and I was back out the door with a working watch adjusted by the tech to the correct time and date. I will definitely return with some other watches in need of new batteries. read more

This is a great place to take your watches for repair and battery changes. I am a watch collector and I am very particular about who I take my watches to for battery changes and service. I found this place thru Yelp, so I would like to pay forward and share my experience in this place. This is a family owned business. Mr. Lee, the owner and watchmaker, knows his trade and his wife Dee, who runs the front and also does minor watch repairs and battery changes, is extremely nice. I felt like a regular, longtime customer the day I first walked in. Mr. Lee also has an apprentice, Jarrett, who also is very knowledgeable and friendly. Their pricing is extremely fair. About $10 for a battery change. I went initially for a battery change and since then I have returned to service two of my Omega watches. Because servicing an automatic watch depends often time on its complications, pricing fluctuates. However, I can tell you that Mr. Lee is able to service high end watches like Rolex, Patek Phillipe, Cartier and others at a very competitive prices and his turn around is faster than sending a watch to the factory repair. They take pride on their work and they want to make sure that you are happy with the work. I am glad people reviewed this place in Yelp. This is a company that's been in business for years - but please, if you need a watch repaired in less than six months - save yourself some frustration and take it elsewhere. I dropped off a simple, basics automatic watch that needed a stem and crown replaced. This is an everyday watch, so not a fancy timepiece by any means. Over two months later, and after so many excuses that they continuously receive the incorrect stem and crown from their distributor, I finally decided today that enough is enough. I've been a loyal client to them, and have been patiently waiting, but everyone has a breaking point. What's even more sad is when you try to provide honest, constructive feedback they don't even care. They've now moved from Arlington to Mclean, but won't last long in this area because the rent is much higher and the clientele are far more demanding - trust me, I know. Dropped my watch, and the back popped off. The inside parts got bent and caught as well, to the point where a person on the street wouldn't be able to fix it. Brought it in here, and they told me there was a chance it wouldn't be fixable. They dropped everything they were doing, and worked hard on my watch and fixed it. I was exstatic! Then they told me it would only be $10! I only had, $8 cash on me, so was about to run to Safeway, but they told me to not worry about it, and pay the rest next time I needed anything. This weekend I went back again, still no action - and I said it's ridiculous that they've not done anything. The owner said "that's OK". Incredulous, I asked what he meant. He said "It's ok, we don't want your business. You can leave a review on Yelp." Let's see if this review remains posted. On March 23, I brought my watch to this shop as it had stopped running. The watch had a special long-life battery no longer made. Several days later the owner texted me telling me it would cost $125 to replace the movement to one that would accept a regular battery. I told him to go ahead. Several weeks later, not hearing anything, I went back to the shop. The owner's wife(?) searched around the shop, found the watch after a few minutes and said she didn't know which movement to order. So she went to the owner to straighten it out. I thought they'd proceed. Several more weeks pass, so I went to the shop and found they were out for Memorial Day weekend. So I wait another week and call to see if they're in. The answering machine is full so I go to the shop and find a sign saying they're out of town on business --- seems a thoughtful business owner would have left a voice message indicating their absence. This past Saturday, June 8, I went back and they told me they hadn't done anything. I said "you guys are really ridiculous, you've had this watch over two months!" "That's OK", he says, "that's ok." ... "We don't want your business." There's a lot of good reviews on this business --- but in my experience, they're worthless unless you just need a battery or a watch band. I'd NEVER go there for anything important, like regulating my Omega or other fine Swiss watches. read more
