I scheduled an 8:00 a.m. appointment with KVA Electric for an estimate to install a Tesla charger. At 7:15 that morning, I was told that a city inspector for another property had become available and asked whether my appointment could be pushed to later in the day. I agreed to any time before noon and asked for an update on the timing. By 10:22 a.m., there was still no estimated arrival time, so I canceled. I had rearranged my schedule for a confirmed appointment, only to have it deprioritized for another job with very little notice. The comment that was made was "these things unfortunately happen". This wasn't something that was out of your control. It was a choice that was made to not be respectful of people's time and to not honor your commitment. The company apologized and offered a discounted installation if I rescheduled. However, I value honesty, integrity, and honoring commitments far more than a monetary discount. A discount does not make up for failing to respect a customer's time or keep a confirmed appointment. The unreliable scheduling and lack of a clear update left a very poor first impression. read more
