My storage was stolen or auctioned or something but it's missing since June and it is now July and nobody has any answers for me nobody notified me through email nobody notified me any letter nothing and my belongings and all my childhood pictures and everything that I love and cherish and cannot be replaced or gone and I have not and gotten any answers I have gotten s***** s***** s***** treatment and it's just unacceptable I'm never late on my payments nothing my contract says to email me and they said that they don't do that because their policy but my contract says for them to email me and I didn't got one email if they would email me my stuff would be saved so please do not store here do not support them they're horrible read more

I am VERY VERY UPSET!! I had this unit for 3 years!!! I moved to GA and finally was able to ship my things only to find out everything is ruined with rat poop, urine, and bat infestation. Recently, I visited my storage unit and discovered rat droppings inside. I was about to add more items when another customer informed me that their unit was infested with rats. I went to my indoor unit, and the smell of urine was overpowering. Months prior, when I checked my storage, I saw a pile of feces, possibly from a cat, but I didn't think much of it. However, if a cat can gain access, I should have worried about what else can too. Now, I must inspect my belongings for damages. Additionally, my mom has a storage unit in the same building, with drive-up access, and it too contains a significant amount of droppings, despite not having anything that could attract rats. I wouldn't have known at all if I didn't visit my storage. Their pest control is either non effective or very nonexistent! I will be moving! read more

My name is Donna, & this is my second time storing my property with Extra Space Storage, the first time I called in & the employees were so sweet, & accommodating. The property was very clean, after my experience I decided I made my mind up, from this day forward I would only use Extra Space Storage. Fast forward, October my Landlord decide to sale which means I have to move. First thing I knew for sure I would store my belongings, & again I went on line & scheduled a storage unit, when I get there I had problems finding the unit, that's when Ms. Reyna Torres walks out of the office to assist us without being asked after showing us our unit when I figured out it was up stairs Ms. Torres changed my unit to one on the first floor, not only was it closer to the entrance & it was $18 dollars cheaper. It was super easy to complete the online forms to get a space. I immediately got text messages and the manager called me right away to check in with me and see if I understood everything and answer any questions. Reyna is professional and friendly and answered my questions. I'm just bummed I have to pay so much for insurance. I ha ent gone to the pace yet, but with this kind of service I confident it will be worth it. My only recommendation now that I've been to the space is to have "room" markers upstairs as it is a labyrinth. read more

First time ever looking for a storage place, and this was the only place with amazing reviews. And now I see why! From the moment I stepped into the office Reyna was not only so helpful, but totally sociable as well. Didn't make it feel like she was pushing me to buy anything but really did a great job showing me the unit and going over the lease. Really made the whole process easy and pain free. She even pointed out the chair covers which were less than $5, which was perfect for what we're storing! 10/10 would recommend if you've never gone through the process of finding a storage unit and need somewhere hassle free. And to top it off, the place was really clean. The areas around the storage unit and office were immaculate, to say the least. Really impressed with the first impression. PLEASE NOTE THIS RATING IS ONLY FOR THE FACILITY LOCATED AT 1353 FLORIN ROAD. STAY AWAY! If I could give no star rating I would. This place is just bad business and unprofessional! It should be called EXTRA CHARGES SPACE STORAGE! Sure the first month is free! What they don't tell you till AFTER they run your credit card is that they charged you an "administration fee" plus insurance charges. They were going to give me an inside unit (10x10) for $93 a month. Since I didn't reserve the unit online they could only give half off the first month. Alrighty, a little high but I could live with it. The employee swipes my card and hands me a receipt to sign. When I start questioning all the additional charges, he explains that the extra charges are customary administrative fees. Well why wasn't that explained prior to charging me? I felt like that was just poor business ethics and decided I wanted to check out other facilities. Here's the kicker....they couldn't void out the transaction and credit my charge card the amount they charged. Really? After spending an hour going head to head with the store manager Erin, the only resolution she could offer was to send the transaction to their accounting department to issue a paper refund check which would take 4 to 6 weeks to arrive. Are we living in the Dark Ages? So I go around the corner to the Extra Space Storage on Franklin Blvd. and what a difference. The husband and wife management team are amazing! I get an outside drive up unit (10x10) for only $80 a month and the first 2 MONTHS are FREE!!!!! Take that Florin Rd. read more

I had driven by Extra Space Storage a few times and liked how it looked clean from the outside, so, I ventured in as I needed a place to put some stuff. The girl was very helpful, showed me a few units and luckily I had written down the pricing from online, and when I told her that, she was happy to give me the online price...SCORE :) I opted for a 5x10 unit, upstairs...yeah, upstairs, but, have no fear, they have a great elevator that you load up and push a button and you meet it upstairs. VERY convenient. I do agree with Robb M. in regards to feeling rather buffoned at the $20 administrative charge AND you are REQUIRED, yes REQUIRED to pay for their insurance. So, the 1 free month is somewhat misleading as you end up paying the $20 and $13 for insurance, so, not quite free. I definitely recommend looking online to see what pricing they offer...other than that, happy with the facility. read more

Needed to move from house to a condo that was being remodeled in next two weeks. Got my free month. Stayed in storage for three weeks. Left and owed nothing. Of course I did have to pay for some incidental costs such as insurance. But that was acceptable. read more
