29 Park is always a fun time if you're letting the Long Islands and Cranberry Vodkas flow. They play dance/pop/EDM on Fridays and strictly Hip Hop/Rap on Saturday's so pick your poison. I recently celebrated my Quarter Century mark at 29Park and the experience was no less than fabulous!! The venue is rather large, with ample dance floor space and a decent amount of booths for large parties. My bf called in advance to book a booth for our party since there were about 15-20 of us. Booking a booth comes with free sandwiches/munchies around 1-1:30am and a free round of shots (which we really didn't end up getting b/c we forgot to ask, but i think we were goooooood anyways ^_^). Cover is $10/person regardless of whether you book a booth. The bartenders are really friendly and the drinks are made nice and strong! The club even passes out free Dasani water bottles at the end of the night to everyone walking out the door! That kind of customer service is something I have never seen in a club/bar environment, not even at V (MGM) or Amnesia (Motor City). The security is really on point. They were EVERYWHERE and they were BIG! They generally stayed out of people's way and let them have fun, and thank goodness there's no dumb rule of "no drinks on the dance floor" like at Amnesia. But when we encountered a little bit of rowdiness from a fellow drunken club goer, the security was quick to swoop in and take out the trash before the situation escalated. *applause* for 29Park security!! Much better options available in Novi. They would not let us get shots without getting a mix drink which i've never heard in my life. Bartenders were nice but went through the ringer to rip off the current wristbands and replace them with they they thought was proper for the event. I'll try not to let the fact that a near 40 year old went here, but it's gonna be hard.... So from the pictures it looks like a nice place to be: right in the middle of a busy area, looks very nice inside.. might be a good time. Stepped up on a Friday night after a quick stop at Duet, quick and THOROUGH pat down and I'm in. First thing I notice are the floors are Sticky-icky. I'm sure a black light in the place would scare anybody away. Nothing's really clean in here. The seats are stained and I noticed broken glass in the creases even though the place just opened. Second thing is that everything is upcharged. Wanna sit? Make a reservation to sit or stand somewhere in the way. Drinks are HIGH even for beers and well liquors. Of course there's bottle service because you want to be noticed right? The bottles are the smaller sizes but the prices aren't. You can get some Tito's or similar for $100 on special nights but it's not really worth it. They bring the bottles out with minor pomp and circumstance; a few LED lights come your way but it should be overdone to a point where people stare at you with disgust. The crowd was a hodgepodge of radio listeners (Channel 955 was there, but they probably shouldn't have been. Too much techno and mixes were no bueno). This place was great when it first opened in Novi. Over the years the crowd has died down and I can only imagine why. The floors are so sticky, you basically get stuck to it!!! I also have not seen or heard any promotions for the club, they are not always going to drawl in the same people so promotions are key! I think the drink prices went down since they first opened so that's a plus but a $10 cover for a place that is more than half empty doesn't seem like a smart business decision. I recently went there with 30 friends on a party bus on a Friday right after St. Patrick's Day. We had been planning on going to a club away from Ann Arbor with the bus and so we called to confirm a VIP section/seating for 30 people. It was absolutely free to do this and they were extremely helpful and courteous. The venue is spacious and offers plenty of seating areas and room to dance. Cover was only $5 on a Friday, and I believe is $10 on a Saturday befor 11:30. The drinks are not too expensive and they are rather strong. They also put up sandwiches towards the end of the night so it helps you to recover a little bit from all the drinking. read more

Let me preface this by saying that this type of club is NOT my usual type of hang out....I knew this before I went there tonight. However, I am a fan of changing it up. So I was up for setting aside my usual dive bar rotation in favor of getting done up and ready to dance it out with overpriced drinks at a meat market in the burbs. So, being what it is, 29 Park isn't the worst place to go. My bacardi & diet which usually costs $4-5 at my usual spots, cost $6.25 at this place. A mark-up, yes, but I have seen worse. By 11:00 p.m. there was a line outside (relatively short). The group of myself and my 5 other sharply dressed (if I do say so myself) female friends got chosen by the bouncer and escorted to the front and into the club ahead of groups of gentlemen. We still had to pay the $10 cover charge (boooo...). There was a mandatory coat check as well, I am unsure how much it was because we all left our coats in the car. Some aspects of 29 Park were better than I expected. Security is plentiful, and the girl to guy ratio was pretty solid. Everyone was just dancing and having a good time - drama was minimal. There are 2 full bars, and both were pretty speedy given the volume of customers there. Like I said, this is not going to become my go-to place by any means. But for what it sets out to be, you could definitely do worse than 29 Park. read more

Went here for my birthday after I received a free VIP booth via Facebook. So much fun! My first 10 guests got in free, we received the booth, a bottle of vodka, lemonade, cranberry juice, fruit and pizza. Talk about taking care of your guests. Honestly though, I've been here before without the VIP booth and still had a blast. The place is classy, good mix of music and it's decorated beautifully. Strict dress code so make sure you and your guests know this before showing up. The only negatives I could possibly say are 1. There were a few spots on the floor that were sticky (eh, no big deal) and 2. The drinks tend to be higher when men order them, which isn't bad for me because I'm a lady haha. Went on a Friday. Had to literally stalk their social media accounts to get a response regarding table reservations. Only to discover they were all sold out-- with no wait list. Having a very recent NYC club/lounge experience fresh in my mind-- I just couldn't understand this happening in Novi. Especially with no reviews on yelp since 2012. I chalked it up to DJ Godfather as their Friday resident DJ and their Friday promo of no cover, $3 drinks and $150 premium bottles until 11:30. That and there aren't that many awesome places with the club/lounge vibe, in this area. It was my birthday and I had my heart set on 29 being the last stop after a bar crawl. Word-of-mouth was full of hype about this place, and they were sold out so the necessity of getting exactly what I wanted out of my 29 Park experience, was on level 10. I didnt like that they kept sassing up the Facebook event promo, but making no mention that tables were sold out-- giving patrons false hope about bottle service, when you've said you cant deliver and/or are unavailable for comment, is kinda jank. So we get there at around 11:15pm and from the outside (deceiving) it looks empty. My Fiancee asks the doorfolk what the deal is before the lot of us disembarks from the party bus. Said doorfolk imply that if one of their reservations doesnt show up in the next 30 minutes-- we can have their booth. And so we did. By this time it was 11:30 and cover was $5--I asked if we had to pay if we were getting a table and the host said "tables are free." O_O?? Another hostess comes and takes us to one of the We get inside and only 3 of about 10 total booths were occupied. There were a lot more people inside but the crowd was still a bit sparse. We were seated in the raised booth area which was lovely and perfect for 8, 10 would be a little of a squeeze (there are two larger booths on the actual dance floor-- and they looked pretty swank). Almost immediately a server popped in to take drink orders, and other with a platter of fruit--- minutes later a tray of sandwiches. Bravo 29 Park for liquor-saturation-innovations! Pleasant surprise, since the booth was free and we werent expecting any amenities. The crowd was very diverse and that was a refreshing experience. I'm sure it wasnt as busy as they planned because it was DEMF weekend. DJ Godfather was decent, played the Godzilla mix, which is what I prayed for. Got in some Top 40s but everything was very EDM influenced, which was kind of a bummer. I hope they were just playing to DEMF weekend, and that this isnt always how they get down. Overall, enjoyable time-- will check it out again for sure. Only con was difficulty tracking down management for reservation information and inconsistency of social media. read more

Want to dress up and goto a very nice club? This is the place. This club rocks, for years I never went because there was always a line out the door to get in. Today things have slowed down in Novi, the last time I was there it was only half full. The crappy weather probably had a lot to do with that. I was disappointed as I don't always like going to Royal Oak/ Ferndale. IMO this is the nicest dance club in metro Detroit and this review reflects multiple visits over the years. Went for a bachelorette party this weekend. The music was good, the drinks were a little pricey, the crowd a little too junior executive for my taste. I have never seen so many suits in a club, I felt like I was at a wedding reception. We had a good time though. I would go again, definitely! My only real disappointment? Went here for a friends birthday party/girls night out. Atmosphere was nice, staff was nice. The music was good. One thing I did love is you can not enter dressed a certain way, there is a dress code and if you do not follow the dress code they wont let you in. Everyone is usually dressed very classy. Also the security is great, when I was there last time I had a random guy bothering me, the security watches out for you, if they see an issue they will step in. Went to 29Park this past weekend for my brothers bachelor party. I was a little worried we wouldn't get in because everything was reserved for over a week in advance. Once we rolled up in the limo and talked to the hostess she was able to get us in a table near the dance floor due to a cancellation. This place is top notch for southeast Michigan. I will be definitely going back. The staff was friendly and security looks to be their game. After 2 bottles and a couple dozen beer bottles our tab was over $600, but it was well worth it. They brought out a plate with fruit on it at the beginning of the night and sandwiches towards the end. I wish they had a place like this in Ann Arbor, I'd have bottle service every weekend! I've been here a few times and they have a location in Windsor I used to love when I was younger and would go to Canada! I planned my b-day party here last year, they give you FREE VIP seating to accommodate your party size, at the end of the night you get free sandwiches and fruit platter. They are accommodating and good with their customers. You get free cover until 11pm I believe and your party skips to the front of the line. Only thing that sucks is $10 cover after 11pm - which is when most people arrive. Because we got FREE VIP seating and the extras, we ordered bottle service. Everyone had a good time. My friend had her bday there too, same thing. When you get good service, you spend more money and keep coming back - they know what they are doing. This club is always packed. They have good music and usually a good crowd. It's more posh inside and upscale which is better than these little holes in the wall that slap some paint on the walls, add two little bars and a few poles and think they will roll in the dough. 29 Park in our choice to go out for fun now :) read more

Um...I like this place! It has a fun, stylish vibe. Been here twice, once for a birthday and once for New Year's eve. Enjoyed both times. We had a booth the first time and it was great. For New Year's they had a special ticket with drink tickets and horsdoeuvres which was also great. It got fun and crazy both times. I'm not a drinker but definitely a dancer and I had a great time! Me and one other guest arrived at the club and told them our party had already arrived and purchased tickets for us. We were told that despite tickets already being purchased, we would have to pay $20 a piece to enter the club even though this fee was already paid. We tried to reason (calmly) with the front desk that our friends already paid for our tickets but we still were told that we HAD to pay $20 a piece to get in. Literally 5 minutes our friends show that they had already purchased tickets for us and we were told that refunds could not be issued even though we had literally just paid to get in because they claimed we had to pay. This is a SCAM!!! And i will continue to complain EVERYDAY until issues like this are resolved. The crowd was not what I expected but we experienced no problems with the people there except two guys that were itching to pick a fight with some of our friends but thankfully their liquid courage wasn't enough to spark anything. If I could give this place a 0 star I would. I was there an hour ago with a group of friends upwards of 13 at one point. I was the designated driver. I got a booth for my friends first off, I was sober second off. At the end of the night all my friends were either buzzed or drunk. I told everyone alright let's leave. 2 of my female friends were still by the booth talking to the bouncer, and I was trying to make sure they come out too so I wanted to wait for them since I was their driver. Then a rude bouncer, a Caucasian with a beard was like it's time to go. And I told him respectfully I know man I'm just trying to wait for my friends to come cause their drunk. He responded alright but you need to go and I'll come back and get them. Like dude I'm not drunk I'm just trying to make sure they are good since I'm the designated driver and I'm trying to rally all my friends together. I was talking to him and he was like you're not staying here man I'll pick you up and throw you outside. And then another friend of mine came up and told me let's go so I started walking and I said man fuck this place trying to kick me out when I'm trying to make sure my drunk friends are going to be okay, what kind of establishment doesn't let a sober guy that's trying to get his friends together and make sure they're okay like it's less work for you. And I turned around really quick to see where they were next thing you know this bouncer shoves me almost making me fall backwards into something out the door. And then all his bouncer friends tried to start a fight like dude I'm not drunk I'm trying to ensure my friends get out here. So I can take them home. So if you want to go to a club that lets your drunk friends stay inside while you wait outside for them not knowing if they're okay, then this is the place for you.
