I just took my son here for dinner. We were seated promptly and that was it. There were only 3 other tables at 8:00. I counted 4 waitresses that were either standing around or holding a long conversation with another table. A waitress brought out the food for the booth next to us. She never acknowledged our presence to say she would be right over, or sorry for the delay. She went to get the other table more bread. I decided to leave and let the 3 waitresses behind the e bar know why. I asked for a manager but they looked at me like an alien. This is not the first time this has happened here. Aftrr miserable experience at Italian restaurant 2 doors down, we stopped ool into 2bolli. What a game changer. We were greeted by the best waiter anywhere - Stacy. Warm, wonderful service and beautiful, delicious food. No dried up shawarma here. Everything we tried was so flavorful and fresh. Warm site made pita reminded me of La Shish in its heyday. We live 70 miles away but it is worth the trip. Can't say enough good things about Stacy. He made everthing better. Lamb and chicken kebobs were tender and juicy and obviously marinated to achieve a depth of flavor. The baba ganoush was the best ever. So smoky and smooth. The garlic sauce- usually thickened with potato- was 100 x better than I've had before. Hate driving in Detroit suburbs but this is an experience (service and food) that can't be missed. read more

They're just ok. If you're in the area and want great Mediterranean food, go to La Marsa on grand river and drake (less than 10 min away) and you won't be disappointed. They do serve liquor at 2booli so if that's a deal breaker, La Marsa is out for you. Ideally you're going for the food though ;-) read more

I come to 2booli at least once a week because it's near my work and let me tell you, they have such a friendly atmosphere. The falafel sandwich is the best I've had from a Mediterranean restaurant. Chris, who usually serves me, is the textbook definition of customer service (Stacey is great too). My family loves to come to 2Booli. We have celebrated our May birthdays there a few years in a row. The staple fresh soft bread, garlic paste and hummus are always perfect. We love the classics- grape leaves, kibbeh, shawarma, lentil soup. Everything is good! This visit was extra enjoyable thanks to our amazing server Stacey. He just kills it! The food is good when you finally get it. Service is terrible and extremely slow. Waited 10 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us after I asked who our waiter was. Sad experience. I chose this place over others that showed on my search of "mediterranean cuisine" because they listed themselves as Lebanese specific. The meat was great. I was expecting better Fatoosh but it was quite dry and had to ask for more dressing. The wait was a negative. About 25 minutes for a 1 person plate of meat, chicken, and rice. Servers were very polite which was a plus. The rice came out hard as a rock as if it wasn't cooked correctly. That was the killer for me on top of waiting for what I thought was going to be a great dish. Looking for a drink, come here. Looking for good food, sadly I do not recommend it. Came here for a family dinner as per a recommendation from a family member's coworker. Well...it was pretty basic in my opinion to say the least. Other than the garlic spread and hummus it isn't much I would write home about. My husband and I both had a lamb pita and it was okay. I ordered medium well and it came to me pretty much well done. Barely any pink at all. Some pieces were completely cooked. However, I will say I did not return it to the kitchen because I just was so hungry I didn't want to deal with waiting for my food again. Excellent service and food. The staff are very professional and care about their customers. Last week during my lunch hour from work my food didn't arrive until about a half hour after ordering. I was going to the 2Booli 1 - 2 times a week for lunch. Loved their Fattoush salad. When I would call to place my carry out order, a wonderful lady named Olga would always answer and take my order. Olga got promoted to manager and a new lady started taking orders on the phone. One day I called and I was placed on hold for 20 minutes. After the first 5 minutes on hold, I went to the 2Booli website and ordered online. Still on hold, I drove to 2Booli from my job, which is a few minutes away. I walked into 2Booli, still on hold and told them I am here for a online pick up. While I was still on hold with them, the new girl picked up the phone and answered another call and put them on hold. She told me the person on the phone could wait because she is too busy to take over the phone orders and then I hung up my phone. While this young lady was getting my bread, she quickly removed the sweat from her nose and head with her hand and open the bread bag, by putting her sweaty hand in the bag. I told her never mind for the bread and left the restaurant. I came back again about a week later, just to try them again and my online order wasn't ready until 45 minutes after I ordered it online. Order again a couple of weeks later (over the phone) I was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes, I arrived in 20 and still had to wait 15 minutes. And the folks at the bar, was running around like a chicken with their head cut off. No type of order going on at the bar or in the kitchen (bread wasn't made or garlic sauce in containers were made). While leaving I asked what day does Olga work so I can stop by and say hello when she is working. I was told Olga does not work here any more. And that gave me the answer to my question of why the service is HORRIBLE NOW. You guys need Olga back ASAP. I am sure other regular customers, notice the difference in service. read more

My boyfriend is an extremely picky eater, so when I visited him and he suggested a restaurant called 2booli, I was surprised. The decor is really fun and there are quotes on the wall and every 'to' is replaced with 2's. We met his friend there and tried some of their special cocktails, which were good. We ordered a dinner platter that had samples of chicken, steak, veggies, rice, beef wrapped in grape leaves, and shawarma. It was all delicious. His friend had an awesome soup that I ended up taking home because she forgot she didn't like soup. Oh, the pita bread is fantastic too. read more

Had lunch here today. We had a hard time deciding because it all looked so good and, indeed, everything was delicious! At our table we shared baba ganoush- very smoky and yummy- a lamb pita (pickled turnips on the side, but they were yummy), Caesar chicken wrap, and chicken ghallaba. We enjoyed the outdoor seating, too - we always like to find that when the weather is so nice. I did take a look inside, though, and it's trendy and cool inside - nice casual atmosphere. I really miss La Shish. 2booli is located in a former La Shish restaurant and looks great, but can't hold a candle to the previous tenant. The menu was surprisingly limited and really dependant on too many hummus dishes. My favorite dish, the deboned chicken, was priced at $16.49 for a half a chicken with pita bread and soup or salad. A bit pricey for what I'm used to paying in Dearborn eateries. I can go 3 stars, but I probably won't be back. read more

The food is pretty normal Americanized Mediterranean that you find in most restaurants in the suburbs. I've had the dinner combo for two which contained SO much food as well as the sandwiches, which were a lot smaller than anticipated. The staff at this location is super helpful and friendly. We came in one night close to closing time and we were still able to order food and then serviced at the bar while we waited. They even gave us a generous amount of the garlic sauce and pita bread. read more

After some stressful shopping the wife and I decided to try something new. Out of the blue we turned into the shopping center and noticed this restaurant. Decided to go inside and have a look at the menu. Neither of us had really had Mediterranean food before, but decided to try it. Started with the Appetizer Trio. Wow, such great fresh flavor! Then we decided to order the Combo Platter for 2. We wanted to order something that really gave us a variety of the food's and tastes they offered. The combo platter was a great choice! I attended 2Boiling for the first time with a couple of colleagues today. It is easily the best Middle-eastern food in the area.

Huge fan of the f there shawarma. The grilled vegetables are fresh and the bread is always fresh. I brought my family here and it was a little packed so it longer then normal. I would come here more if it was closer to home. read more

Dining at 2bouli was one of the best restaurants experiences that I've had. The restaurant is a strip mall so the warm and inviting decor was unexpected. The food was divine. I had chicken kafta with rice pilaf, and chili. The garlic sauce that accompanied the meal was delicious and I couldn't get enough of it. Our server, Sam D. recommended that I pair the chili with the garlic sauce. It was great! The bread was warm and light unlike the bread that I've been served at other Middle Eastern restaurants. I can't say enough about our server, Sam D. - he was attentive and very friendly, making the dining experience top notch. I've dined at 5 star restaurants that don't compare to Sam D.'s service. I look forward to my next visit- I just wished I lived closer because I would definitely be a regular at 2bouli! read more

We just moved back to the Detroit area after 5 years out east and the first cuisine my wife wanted to eat was Mediterranean. Since 2Booli was on the way home we ordered carry out. All-in-all the food was above average. I really enjoyed the crushed lentil soup, it was much creamier than most I've tried and when using the pita as a dipping accompaniment, it was out of this world great. I was encouraged to order the Lemon Oregano Chicken - which consisted of cubed chicken served over rice in sauce. With a pinch less of salt, I'd give it a run against any chicken dish I've eaten. My only real gripe would have to be the smoothies. I wouldn't recommend them - simply too much ice and not enough fruit. We actually poured a little bit of OJ and honey in them when we came home and that helped them considerably. I'll be a frequent diner at 2Booli and can't wait for my next dinner! read more

I really wanted to give this place more stars but I just can't. First of all the wait and bar staff all deserve 5 stars. Very friendly and prompt. But the food is something to be desired for. I ordered the lamb kabobs and asked for rare/medium rare. I only found one piece of meat that was slightly pink and there was way too much gristle for the cost of the meat. I ended up not finishing all of my rice so I took it home for a snack later. When eating the rice later in the evening I found a piece of plastic, almost like a piece of plastic bag that fell into the pot of rice pilaf. The management should really take a closer look at the quality of their so called chefs. Again, the only reason I didn't give this place 1 star is because their staff is really good. read more

We went to dinner for my brothers birthday as a party of six and everyone's food was mediocre. We eat at middle eastern restaurants frequently and this place is far from decent, the food was horrible and I'm strongly considering calling the health department. One of the entrees had hair in it. 2Booli is one of my husband's and my favorites. We go there frequently and now have a favorite waiter - John. He is the best! Everything is so fresh and flavorful. If you are a fan of Lebanese food I don't think you can get much better than this. My biggest concern is at times they are not that busy, which scares me.
