I always stop by when I'm in town. Always consistent with great tasting food, good portions and fantastic staff.

We often stopped at La Shish on the way out to hockey games, so it was only a matter of time before we stopped by 2booli...and we're glad we did. The wide-open space and sleek modern decor was a nice change from the old space when it was La Shish, which pretty much consisted of two long, narrow dining areas. First impressions are always important, and the piping hot bread out of the brick oven was a good start...but our fattoush side salads sealed the deal with crispy lettuce and cucumbers, chunks of onion, radish, tomato and crunchy pita bits, accompanied by a spicy dressing and served on chilled plates. The chilled plates may be a small touch as my dining companion said, but they really served to accentuate the freshness of the ingredients. The menu, as others have pointed out, is a bit more ecumenical when it comes to the "Mediterranean" in their tagline. I'd originally gone in with the idea of having my usual shish tawook-type meal, but the server sold me on the talapia special--baked fish with a tahini-based sauce, accompanied by rice pilaf and a few roast veggies. The fish was tender and moist, and the sauce was tasty, but not overly spicy. Great choice. My dining companion had a lamb shish kabob dish, and he found his lamb exceptionally tender. Not at all like the tough, grizzled pieces you sometimes get in such dishes elsewhere. I had a bite of the lamb and agreed with his assessment. I opted for a banana-berry smoothie-their only variety-but like most Mediterranean restaurants, it was made with fresh fruit. Our server was friendly, attentive and informative--able to answer all of my questions about ingredients and to suggest menu items that we might like. We'll definitely be back. read more

2Booli seemed to me to be an Americanized Mediterranean restaurant... I'm not entirely sure why anyone would want their Mediterranean cuisine watered down but I'm sure it happens however, I'm not a fan. This place was filled due to the lunch rush! But they didn't seem to have too many lunch "deals". I ordered the crushed Lentil soup and a chicken fattoush salad. As I waited, warm, poofy pita bread came to our table. I really loved the bread. I asked for some side of garlic sauce and began digging in. The garlic sauce didn't seem as garlicky as I like but it did the job. My soup was just ok. It was quite bland, to be frank. My fatuous salad seemed chunky as compared to other's I have eaten and the dressing was again, bland. It felt overly simple and as though the preparer had forgotten what makes Mediterranean food great-- the wonderful mix of spices. The dressing tasted like simple oil and vinegar mixed in with some lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and far too few crunchy pita chips. It was a lunch meal I could easily forget. read more

Picked this spot (from Yelp,) to meet a friend for dinner. We enjoyed our visit almost 100% (No Baklava! :() The bread is fresh baked, the food was delicious, and we happened to be there during happy hour, which meant great deals on appetizers and several drinks. We love this place! Its the perfect date night restaurant. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and they have awesome drink specials. I think the waitresses sometimes forget that they aren't working at Hooters, and can be a little overbearing/hoochie-ish, but they seem young, and maybe that is what they think they need to do in order to get good tips... Other than that, this place is one of our favorites, and I hope they don't go out of business! It is always super slow when we go for dinner during the week around 7pm. read more

What used to be a decent middle eastern restaurant has since taken a tumble downhill, and is nothing more than an unexciting Americanized foodery. My most recent experience has left me questioning what I used to see in their food. Previously, their lentil soup was rich, bursting with flavor. It has since become a watered down, opaque, tasteless yellow broth. Their hummus remains creamy, which is great, but the taste of concentrated lemon permeated throughout souring my experience further. My schwarma was okay, but the meat seemed overcooked, something I would not have expected for a meat traditionally slow-cooked over an open flame. Their french fries were.... well, they were sad. They had no crisp to them, and laid lifeless on my plate. Personally, I believe there are better options within a 10 minute drive. Many of the faults I just described can likely be attributed to the numerous changes in staff and management I have observed 2booli go through over the last few years. With each change in staff/management, 2booli continues its tumble downhill. I will not be returning to see or deliver a final coup de gras, which seems evident and quite unfortunate. read more

One of the best Mediterranean restaurants around! The chicken shwarma pita is an amazing lunch paired with the crushed lentil soup. I order it every time and it's always amazing. The fresh pita bread is an amazing starter and it's hard not to fill up on bread alone! If you come here for lunch during the week, it's best to be here before noon. Otherwise you might have to wait for a table. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because their lunch waitstaff tends to not be the best. Lots of confusion over drinks and refills but never any issues with my food. read more

I enjoyed a great lunch here today and our server (Stacy was his name I think) was fantastic! We had some of their hummus and homemade pita to start, the pita was warm and fluffy. The hummus was equally good and had a unique flavor from the green onion they topped it with. I had their Spicy Ghallaba as my main meal and it was very fragrant and had a nice tomato taste. I loved the vegetables that they included in the sauce. It was a very good entree. My only complaint was that it wasn't spicy at all. The flavor was still very good, I would order it again. I ordered through the app and when I arrived the food was ready. I ordered chicken shawarma, fattoush and Caesar salads and spicy hummus with their fresh warm pitas. Went here and ordered dinner for my family. One of the sandwiches was not cooked to our liking , so the manager Alvin made us a completely new meal no question asked, gave us a $10 gift card to come back and a free pop! Portions were smaller than your typical place but if you are vegetarian this is a terrific restaurant. The service took a long time but I was with a regular who said this was unlike them. I didn't like the way the garlic sauce tasted it was more yogurty than the typical sauce. The fries were great and the Lentil soup was really really good. read more
