    Fried chicken

Everything is super tasty and decently priced. My favorite was the fried chicken- the combination of the crispy outer layer with the sweet and spicy sauces on top was chefs kiss. Only con for me was there isn't any face to face service- you have to order and pay on an iPad immediately upon entering and there is a self service station to grab utensils, napkins, and water yourself. The inside is also hand painted to give the illusion of a 2-D black-and-white drawing and that was cool. The wait to get our food after ordering was not long & the portions were huge! I still have leftovers. Would definitely come back.

Wow -- absolutely loved this place! We ordered the 2-piece fried chicken buns and the fried chicken curry with rice, and everything was outstanding. Huge portions, packed with flavor, and honestly some of the best food I've had in DC. The food came out fast -- under 5 minutes from ordering -- which was impressive given the quality. The staff were top-notch: friendly, smiling, helpful, and super efficient. The restaurant is spotless, pricing is great, and the space is creative and fun. I also really appreciated the thoughtful packaging, especially keeping the rice separate from the curry, chicken, and vegetables -- such a nice touch. First-class experience all around. 100% coming back!

This is definitely a place for instagrammers and not necessarily if you're craving a good meal. The decor is definitely super cute and trippy to sit in! They have staff but you'll order at a kiosk. I ordered the fried chicken buns and the soup dumplings. The buns were pretty solid, but kinda felt like a few chicken nuggets in a bun with sauce and some lettuce. The soup dumplings were a little meh, wouldn't order again. Overall a cute spot to come once for the novelty.

Pork dumpling, comes in 6 but we already ate two.

This place reminds me of the 2D cafe in Japan. The place looks awesome with 2D effect. It is a self service shop so you come in and order at the kiosk. The server and host are friendly and the food comes out immediately. I went with a friend and ordered the Tapinyaki, Pork Dumpling and Pork with Rice. The serving size is huge so keep that in mind when you order. Food is awesome. The restaurant is across from Tenleytown metro stop. Highly reco

You order at a kiosk and the food comes in about 10-15 minutes. I got the tonkotsu ramen. Food was good and well-portioned. You can get water/fill up your bottle for free at the self-service station. The workers were cool. Probably won't go again until it gets cold out because it was super warm in there and I'm not sure they have AC.

2D Noodles is a newish fast casual noodle place right off the Tenleytown Metro. The good: -- Interesting interior: The 2D design is cute, and the large chandelier on the ceiling is a nice touch. Ordering at the kiosk is pretty straightforward, and there's a staff member right there if you need help. -- The pho is quite delicious and very very generously portioned. Be prepared to take leftovers home. I had kept my expectations in check due to the lackluster yelp reviews but to my pleasant surprise the Pho is pretty yummy. The broth is a tad too salty at first but adding the lime juice brings it to a perfect balance. -- Staff is helpful and friendly. -- kudos for serving the noodle soups in proper ceramic bowls, not plastic. The Not-so-good: - Cleanliness: The place is quite new but isn't as well kept as it should be. There's visible dirt and debris on the floor especially along the walls. Also, as soon as I sit down, I noticed a faint unpleasant smell, the table smells like dirty rags. It had probably been wiped down with a rags that hasn't been rinsed in a while. - the bean sprouts plate that comes with the Pho has a puddle of water sitting at the bottom of the plate, which doesn't feel sanitary. Please dry the sprouts properly before serving. Hopefully these issues will be addressed. Overall, a very welcome addition to the neighborhood.

I was craving kebab and this unfortunately did not hit the spot for me. We got lamb and chicken kebab combo (#5) and ghormeh sabzi. The meats were bland and very dry. Usually when I order lamb kebab I expect full of flavor and juicy, but this lamb was TOUGH like I had to really chew and there was no flavor. Ghormeh was bland too and not that many cubes of beef. Pita bread and rice were both good. The staff were friendly but not really helpful...we asked what ghormeh was and he just said it's "beef." I would say gourmet bazaar (Rockville) is much better.

The entree was a bit of a cafeteria style thing, but it fit the bill; the menu says it offers not only tofu but some red kidney beans in a stew of greens with lime flavor, and while I can't think of any similar combination I've had in all my travels, it works. The yogurt they offer on the side is a Persian staple, but what really shined was the fresh bread whose odor wafted through my vehicle as I drove my takeout elsewhere. A delightfully thin and browned creation, it was 100% worth adding despite the fact that they already gave me a massive pile of rice (with a bit of saffron rice on top of the plain white rice). This isn't high-end cuisine, but they delivered distinctive flavors in a timely and convenient fashion, and with a good range of vegetarian choices. Of their other locations in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, some of them offer these stews with tofu mixed in and some do not, though falafel and a few other options remain available.

First time visiting this place after saving it on my list for a while now. Well, let's just say…read morethat it's worth the hype! Advice: sitting outside might be better in the cooler weather because we were being eaten alive by mosquitoes and fighting off flies. I really hope that they consider some type of nature oils near the tables to help guests feel more comfortable outdoors. Also, it would help to get more than one fan. Hospitality: aside from the bugs encounter, I would say that we did not have reservations (they were packed inside) so the hostess was nice enough to accommodate us outdoor. Our waiter, Anthony was a ball of energy and he really understands the dishes and was able to give great recommendations, some of which we plan to try on our next visit. Portions: the dishes are shareable so we only ordered the beef noodles and walnut shrimp and both were more than enough for a party of 2. DRINKS: I ordered the dark and stormy which can best be described as not too sweet and perfect for anyone desiring a well balanced drink. The bourbon smash was also really good. Well balanced with a smoky flavor which I loved. FOOD: Beef noodles- gosh this was so divine! Be warned however, there is a bit of spice to it but nothing that you won't be able to handle. I think the spices paired with the preparation of the noodles and the beef all made this dish memorable. Walnut shrimp- another memorable dish which came with a side of white rice. The shrimps were HUGE! But the flavors on each shrimp paired with that crunchy texture and creamy sauce, spectacular! Safe to say that we enjoyed both dishes and cannot wait to return and reserve indoor tables lol

I don't even know how to describe the energy in this place, but you can just feel it the moment you walk in. The restaurant has a dark aesthetic that gives it such a cool, cozy ambiance. My daughter and I ordered the Dan Dan noodles and spicy wontons. Everything was so filling that we ended up ordering another bowl of the Dan Dan noodles! And honestly, I still crave them. The Dan Dan noodles were SO good. The sauce was the perfect combination of creamy and spicy, and there was a generous amount of minced pork that balanced everything out really well. The wontons paired perfectly with the chili sauce that came with them! They were spicy--my ears turned red and my nose started running--but I literally could not stop going back for another bite. Even the wontons alone were incredibly filling. I don't live anywhere near this place, and I genuinely wish I did. I traveled pretty far to get here, and I'd absolutely do it again. This was one of those meals that stays on your mind long after you've left!

Loved the flakiness of the dough and subtle sweetness of the veggies. - Korma chop (fried noodles with chives, onions, red bell peppers, and tofu): Noodles had a nice chewy texture. I got the Hot spice level and wish I'd gone down a level to get a better taste of the dish's original sauce. - Mango doghap: Reminded me of mango lassi. Not too sweet and pleasantly tangy. The desserts, though, were maybe my favorite part of the meal. All had the perfect amount of sweetness: - Kazandibi (Turkish milk pudding with a caramelized, slightly burnt bottom layer): Really liked this pudding. - Honey cake: Ugh the honey with the soft cake with the whipped cream = actual heaven. - Dolan cake (Homemade puffed pastry with Walnuts, Buttery cream filling, and a Chocolate drizzle): Also really good! Very different than the other desserts given the crunchiness and butteriness from the puff pastry and walnuts. Service was fast and friendly. Ambiance is really nice, I enjoyed viewing the traditional art pieces. Also, super convenient because it's literally right next to the Red metro line. 10/10 would recommend!

The staff are very friendly and attentive. There is Uyghur art of different types throughout the restaurant, which has two levels. The beef begins with a subtle flavor and then builds with every bite. I asked for medium heat on my korma (the noodle dish). It was delicious and spicy. I hope to try the Dolan pot of tea, if I am blessed to be in this area again. Dinner was truly lovely.
